Most people don't know how to react if some guy start to stab them aggressively and out of the sudden with a knife. Before you can react it is to late. I read the police was there 6 minutes after the first call.

Whats an issue to and what you often don't read are free riders. After the Munich attacks the Police got plenty of calls from people that say there is a bomb or there is a shooter. Its a common thing after such an event for the police. Even some take inspiration and take action. In this case it can be a Muslim but with all the Muslim attacks there is something else. A climate of destruction lays out there. This brings the rats out. The lunatics, the crazy ones that jump on the train because they feel its their moment. The pressure of order is gone, things seem to fall apart. Those that did hide see their moment now.

It's not even that, if some knife wielding aloha snackbar came at me and running isn't an option (crowded train, enclosed area, etc) I'd give myself a fighting chance and do something ANYTHING.

I read your post like: Why nobody steps in and not like what to do if you get attacked. Also we don't know. Like the Würzburg train attack, witness say they did fight back and I'm sure the killed women did some reaction too and the others as well. None of the victims will just stand there and open the arms. We have natural instincts, but how much are they worth when important parts of your body get hit and you bleed out?

Counter terrorism unit involved? Check.

Police not giving out name? Check.

Police speculation within hours that "mental health" is involved? Check.

Jokes aside, one reason for people not fighting back, aside from not routinely being armed like Europeans used to be, is that they're not taught the morals of war. I remember back when I was a kid, my father would talk about his father's relatives who were killed or maimed in the war, and how they did it because it was the right thing to do to protect your nation and your freedom. Ultimately, if your nation is conquered, if enemies or the antisocial prevail, your children will be worse off than otherwise. People don't believe this now. This concept of family and nation goes against the current morality of society. People are mindlessly individualistic. They don't see themselves as a link in a chain of thousands of generations before and after them. They're just a meaningless blob who has fun indefinitely.

The change in society's attitude also reflects itself in what we consider valuable men. The valuable man now is a pretty boy, or a popular performer, or some YouTube personality or other trite shit. Long gone are the days where the brave man was treated with the social status he once was.

Sometimes dying is a good thing, a moral thing -- you die eventually anyway, you're only changing the schedule by an insignificant amount in the scheme of things.

In a healthy society, trying to stop a bad guy at risk of death is actually a decent gamble for the layman -- if he succeeds or at least survives it massively improves his reputation and allows instant better access to more attractive women.

So true. A while ago a Somali killed a (white) guy with his fists in broad daylight in an Australian suburb near where some of my relatives live. If you ever conduct business with these types, you start to distrust certain groups due to there culture and lack of respect for human rights.
