Has anyone used online 1-to-1 language lessons for Chinese? I've heard of italki but any other suggestions would be great.

Yeah still alive and kicking more than ever before! Just busy living and enjoying life. Barely any time for reading the forum let alone posting. Will post an update soon. Tomorrow going to Yiwu, the biggest market in all of China, super mega stocked and looking forward to it!
Will post a full report along pics from there!
Stay tuned boys!

Just dropping in to say: fantastic write-up. I'm a China newbie in Beijing, coping with the culture shock and the fucking smog. Biked to the Olympic village today. Despite the chaos of BJ's traffic, it seems everything flows smoothly... like a school of fish. Language classes start tomorrow so I'm hoping it'll empower me to venture out into the city a bit more.
There any/many other Beijingers on here?
Cheers.

Are you aware of any groups (especially expat ones) who play soccer or basketball in the city? My googling has been unsuccessful so far.
As for the girls here, I don't think I've ever seen a more hit-or-miss talent pool. On the subway or in the nicer neighborhoods you'll see some seriously sexy girls with good style, but BJ also has some of the ugliest, flat-faced plain Janes on earth. Coming from the US though, rarely having to suffer the sight of a tramp-stamped hambeast is a breath of fresh air.

Haven't posted anything for a while in here as I've been very busy.
Busy with my coaching and with life in general.
I'm long due for a detailed update as well as my thoughts on living and being in China after 8 months now. As well as positives and negatives I've noticed from living in China so far. I'll do also a break down of cost of living here. If one wanted, Hangzhou can be a great bootstrapping option!

IF one was to have an MBA, how easily would it be to get a job in China?

I absolutely cleaned up in China from 2009 to 2012. White fever was still strong then. By 2014 it was dying. As I rarely hear China mentioned on here I'm guessing it's completely dead now? I've thought about returning as Chinese girls are all about the money and now I'm pulling $25,000+/month online, but I'm wondering if the anti-foreigner vibe is just too strong now...

White guys still have absolutely no trouble getting laid in China.
