Make an option to use the full site on mobile devices. Right now, it seems to force me to the mobile app version.

Before starting a new thread, I like to use the forum search engine because it's the best tool to avoid dupes. But I don't like waiting 90 seconds to start a new search. It often takes multiple searches to figure out whether you would be starting a dupe.
I suspect that a lot of dupes happen because people didn't want to wait 5-10 minutes to cover all the bases and do multiple searches.

As a relatively new member of the forum, I've spent time looking back at some great threads from years past. I often see (former) members have made some amazing posts that generated dozens of likes and replies, but then I see that these same posters have their user names crossed out as "Banned". Not sure if it would add any value, but I'm genuinely curious as to why some of these seemingly insightful posters ended up losing their posting privileges so I wouldn't mind seeing some sort of categorical reason as to why they were banned. Maybe below their crossed out name it could say, "Spamming", or "Racism", or something like that?

There was actually a thread the mods would post in where they give a reason for a poster being banned but for some reason this practice was discontinued. I would love to see that make a comeback. I'd like also to see the same done for when people receive temp bans. It would make it more clear what sort of behavior is not acceptable on this forum.

Ability to "ping" members when referring to them, like "@Cobra" twitter style.
Someone types "@Cobra" and it lets Cobra know that someone referred to him on purpose in a thread. This comes in handy when replying to a post or when paging someone to chime in.

The forum should have a mandatory quiz, requiring it to be passed 100% before any posts can be made by new members.
It can test such things as grammar, spelling, paragraph use (and spacing), suitable choices in thread titles (descriptive, non click-bait), non use of text-speak and also a series of true/false questions, regarding poignant red pill topics.
This will assist the transition from lurker to newb to junior member with less annoyance for all concerned.

If there were adverts to monetize the RVF a little, I would be cool with it.
It would be even better if they just showed up for guests or lurkers (there's millions of them, it seems), so the regular members would be completely unaffected.

This one is good. There's another forum that I also browse that only shows ads to non-members and members who are not upgraded.

These might be impossible with the software, but:
1. When I click on a thread, it should automatically take me to the last comment I read.
2. Pinging and quoting a poster should give them an alert.

1. The green arrows by the left hand side of the threads take you to the first new comment of a thread/last comment you read. There are also arrows for the mobile app - but maybe my experience is different to yours.
2. Definitely agree. When I was a member of another forum a couple of years ago the design was very similar to this forum, however there were notifications every time when:
- You were quoted
- You had a post that was "repped" (liked)
- You received a PM
- Your profile got a like (rated - although the rating system and the like system were amalgamated into one, and through this you got the equivalent of your star system)
There was also the option to turn the notifications on and off so the more active members won't get irritated by the constant updates.

Apologize if this was said....... A link to individuals Instagram or YouTube pages (where their name is posted on the forum) so this way those who have Instagram etc can create more traffic which hopefully turns into $$$ for them.
