European winters rant

This European winter is making me miserable and depressed. There is no sunlight. Nightlife is half strength or lower. It's bitterly cold. Day game opportunities approach zero. Women are bundled up. No one goes out during weeknights and weekends can be dead.

Iceland was the exception in that the weekends were wild and packed with people who wanted to party. I thought all of Europe was like that but nope. Right now I feel like time is standing still, with still a long way to go before the tide turns.

Never again will I come to Europe during the winter. Next year I will be in Colombia or Brazil with warmth and sun and women in skimpy clothing. I learned my lesson.

Thanks for sharing that, I was headed to Poland this February, but my gut instinct told me to go to Manizales instead and wait until spring mating season to head to Eastern Europe.

Ya, I'm definitely doing my research before I go anywhere. This post makes European winters sound like Michigan winters, and I have no desire to be a part of that.

The problem with Europe is that there is a big question mark around June - August, where cities are also at low strength and you have to hit some beach towns (though success is not guaranteed).

The best months in Europe are April, May, September, October. It's a scheduling disaster, which is why my thoughts in the past few months have constantly returned to South America. Even Argentina is preferable to what I'm experiencing right now!

Yeah, you really have to "time" these places correctly.

Winter is South America, Southern California, Miami Beach and SE Asia (never been).

Europe like you said is all about May - October.

Real Southern Spain might be the one exception to the rule, but I have never been that far south in winter, so I can't confirm.

I was in Latvia during September.

I couldn't imagine the cold hell it must be right now.

Yeah, a big part of why I changed my number 1 dream travel in 2012 from Sweden to Colombia.

London really hasn't been that bad this winter. I was expecting much, much worse but its been very mild with a surprising number of perfectly clear and sunny days. Nightlife is still cranking too as you would expect.

What about just going to Berlin for a couple months? People say it's cheap for a tier one city and the nightlife is said to rival Buenos Aires. Might still be cold but at least it's alive.

Just be thankful you weren't in Calgary, Canada today, it was -37 C there!

I personally hate winters, especially Canadian ones, which is why I plan on never being in that country at this time of year for a long time!

However, many Canadians (and from what I hear, northern Europeans) really enjoy winter because they embrace it. Instead of staying inside all the time and bitching about how cold it is (like me!), these folks are out skiing, snow shoeing, ice fishing, ski-dooing, curling, hiking, skating, etc.

There are some good day/night game winter venues; ski hills, mountain resorts, hockey games, malls, etc.

Having the winter blues sucks, big time!

Yeah German chicks are usually mad hungry during the winter months. It's the easiest time to pull IMO.

Well,I agree that Roosh should find another livelier destination if there is little sign of life.

That's the one problem with some of these smaller places.
Unless you're getting some serious bedroom action ,after a few days looking round and sitting in the cafes ,or unless you've got a family connection or job , there really is fuck all to keep you there.

Berlin would definitely be busier daygame and nightlife wise, and plenty to keep you busy in the day.
But maybe a visit to Tallin or Kiev would up the girly factor ,if not the temperature .

I guess it depends how long you plan on staying in Europe.
But,definitely ,if Riga is "done" saddle up and ride somewhere new.

I concur with the not spending all winter in Europe being sunlight deprived though...
...you can end up suffering from SAD after a while ,especially if you're not up and out early in the day to catch the few rays there are.

Why not bail from Europe, if the winter sucks so bad? When you announced that you're guying to Lativa, I was like WTF, and think I posted that in the comment section. Personally, I hate cold weather, especially when it's dark and dreary out, I get seasonal affect disorder like a mutherfuck. I know you're doing your bang guides, but if you're depressed, it's probably time to jump ship and either head for S. America, S.E. Asia, or back to the states, it's just not worth it being some place you're not happy, if you don't have to be.

As a Canadian I hated London winters more, the damp will kill you and the sun like you rightly said does not come up everyday. In fact I counted a month where there was no sun at all, getting dark at 4 pm was a bitch as well.

On the flipside, I travelled to Sweden in January and had a great time although it was bitterly cold as well.

I have a suggestion. The Canary Islands. They are part of Spain, but in terms of geography, part of the African continent. The book "Pleasant Weather Ratings" by Thomas Whitmore (1996) ranks Las Palmas as the only city on earth with a perfect score of 100 for weather (San Diego, California came in second with a score of 95; five cities located in Southern California are in the top ten).

From what I recall (I have read several books on the Canary Islands, but have not yet had the chance to visit), there are three seasons. The off-season (which I believe is summer), the Spanish high season, and the European high season at the height of winter (heavy Brit and German tourism).

The nightlife in the resort areas on Gran Canaria (on the southern portion of the island) during the high season is supposedly insane. Just be aware that this sourthern resort area is also one of the largest gay resort areas in Europe.

The weather on each of the seven islands can vary dramatically. Those closer to Africa are much more hot and dry. That island of Gran Canaria is known as a miniature continent, because of its exceptional diversity of weather and landscapes. These islands are a fascinating place. Not only do they have the best weather in Europe -- but also the best weather on earth.

I've been reading Roosh complain about European winters, while all my friends back in Rio are complaining about the monstrous heatwaves in the city.

I thought of asking you guys what is worse: extreme cold weather or extreme hot weather?

Rio is humid and known for reaching past 40C this time of the year... With destructive storms that flood the city and cause landslides on the countryside, killing lots of people.

Good call.

Yeah, I was thinking that when I said "Real Southern Spain" but forgot to mention it.

That would be interesting to see those rankings.

European winters rant

I can imagine the winter is pretty bleak in the Baltics Roosh, not much sunlight in the day.

To be honest in the Ukraine I have forgotten that it's winter at all. It seems like the post-christmas/new year rush, getting more action at the moment then I can cope with.

Had a young lady at my apartment the last couple of days, young, very young(just legal). Met her on Vkontake, arranged to meet in the afternoon, went for a coffee, went for a walk, had something to eat. Then she tells me she has a history exam the next day, and invites me to her place to help her out. A get an instant boner, and grab my our coats in a shot.

Get to her place, she changes her mind and thinks it's not such a good idea, because she has nosy neighbours, and they will tell her mother. I tell her it's a great idea and ask her how she would feel if she failed the exam etc [Image: wink.gif]. We end up going for a walk, but I direct her towards my apartment, I then use my usual line "she will go to my apartment, I have some English Tea"

She comes to mine,we are kissing etc, she then says she can't stay long because she has to study, so I tell her to go home and get her books, which she does. She comes back then we start getting it on again, I try to whip her knickers off, she plays the game and doesn't let me, tells me she wont be having sex with me and that she wants to sleep on the sofa. Eventually she tells me she is a virgin, which turns out to be a lie. This girl is small and cute with perfect breasts and nice ass and legs.

Banged her twice that night, woke up in the morning and asked me "do you like anal sex?" twice in the ass, then later on yesterday again in the vag. Last night we were cramming the English History study but soon gave up because there was too much to do. She tells me she has a boyfriend in another country, same age as I am(although I told her I was 30) divorced and with a child. I start telling her that she's wasting her time with him, and she tells me she will finish with him. He actually called her while we were doing it, and she was talking to him for 20 minutes on the phone, while I'm sucking on her shaved, succulent little hotdog [Image: smile.gif].

No condom with this girl, didn't even cross my mind with one so young and cute. She asks me how many girls i've had in my life(Don Juan DeMarco moment), I eventual concede and go in with a conservative figure of 100, she's shocked, I tell her that I have been single for large periods of my life. She tells me I am only her fifth, and that she lost her cherry when she was 14.

I saw her messages on Vkontakte and most of them are from guys much much older than her. Turns out her parents are divorced, so perhaps she's looking for a father figure.

She's gone for her exam now, but she will be back later. I barely have any man-milk left in me, the day before I met her I jerked off a couple of times. Another thing, she offered to clean my whole kitchen, and did an amazing job! I might recruit her as my sex-maid

I even nipped out for a date with another girl last night, 24 years old, which is milf country in this land. Beautiful eyes, originally from Russia, beautiful tight body. Didn't make a move, but will on next date.

Have another date today with a girl I met in a bar, the face was a 6 at best, but the body was a pornstartastic 9 at least. Told her i'm an actor and making a film at the moment(which is true), she was very intigued and seemed keen to want to meet me.

Im feeling uber confident at the moment, it seems like any girl I speak to I can have sex with.

Something funny happened the other day though. I met a girl on Vkontakte, she was 26 and described herself on her profile as a bitch who know's what she wants. Met her, had a coffee, all was fine, she seemed very interested in me, was touching me a little, I wasn't reciprocating. She was kind of hot, but could have done with some airburshing(She had hairy harms, not so uncommon in Ukraine) just wanted to bang her and that's it.

Anyway next time I arrange to meet her i'm running a few minutes late, and text her to say I will be ten minutes later. She then calls me and says "are you serious? blah blah blah", I was pissed off because most girls are sweet here and will stand in a blizzard for me for a few minutes. But anyway I arranged to meet her in a coffee shop, so she doesn't have to wait around in the cold. I hang up the phone then text me friend

"Damn this little bitch, she's worse than an American or Brit chick"

But I accidently send it to her instead of my male friend!!, hehehe. She called me really pissed off saying "Only I can call myself a bitch!!, not you!!". So didn't meet her in the end, I felt bad, but 30 minutes later I was back on the game and met another.

Anyway back to the point; it's probably about -6 in the daytime here at the moment and I don't care. I was thinking about going to Argentina in a few weeks, but it's impossible to leave this country with so much going on. As far as winter goes I can't see their being anywhere else in Europe that is providing so much winter fruit.

Come to Ukraine Roosh while you're in the area [Image: wink.gif]

Sao Paulo, Brazil is ranked number fourteen on the best weather list, while Rio is tied with three other cities at number thirty-three. The only other city in Europe rated excellent (meaning in the top thirty-seven locations), aside from Las Palmas at number one, is Faro, Portugal (tied at number twenty-five with Sydney). Across the Mediterranean, Casablanca, Morocco comes in at number three.

I have a copy of the book's summary "Ranking of 600 Cities" saved on PDF, but unfortunately I cannot copy and paste from it. Otherwise, I would post the top 100 cities. The book is now out of print, but you can still find used copies on Amazon.com.

For the sake of comparisons: Riga, Latvia is listed as number 568; Reykjavik, Iceland is number 599 (so Rush should probably not go back); Nome, Alaska ends the list at number 600.

Although if I were to choose a European country now, I'd go to a place with a mellow climate like Portugal, Spain, or Italy for the winter. Then come April, the Northern countries are wide open.

Make sure you suppliement with Vitamin D3; there is a documented link between lack of Vitamin D, from limited sunlight exposure, and depression.

My coldest winter ever was in NYC. I don't remember having any problems with the darkness, but man was it cold, I have never experienced anything like that before in Europe.

Is the North East sunnier during the wintertime ?

I think you put out some info on that!
