I would be in Wroclaw today if I would have taken the plunge. I just noticed a severe ICE/SNOW report in Wroclaw, with a windchill of 29F for today!! I wonder if Polish pussy clams up tight for winter until it warms up.

Yeah Mixx the snow has started come down pretty heavy here in Ukraine, already had a foot or so. I think they have anti-freeze in their pussies, because I have been doing better these last few days than at times during the summer.

I barely leave the apartment now, apart from going to the gym and meeting girls. Got a new sex-maid to take care of the mundane chores

Damn, dude, you are seriously not making it easy fro me to avoid Lviv!

Did you snoop around for how (stylish) latinos are viewed by local Ukrainian girls? Just ask them what they think of Enrique Iglesias and go form there [Image: smile.gif]

Yeah, Mixx, going to a place to early is like going for the Knockout too early. You can punch yourself out.

You have to go for the KO at the right time.

My skype friend in Kharkiv tells me that, for the most part, this winter has been pretty mild. Imagine what a normal winter is like.

Man I am freezing my a~~ off in Ukraine here! Wish I was back in Sunny, Warm California!!! Ukraine Sucks!! It's been snowing for three days and there's no mountains to ski on except the pathetic Carpathians, where a ski lift is a jacked up jeep with a rope around a rim!!
Freezing fucking cold!! Arctic!! Frigid!! Terrible! Dreary!!

Yessirree, You guys would sure be better off in nice cheerful Brazil; Columbia, you know-- some place that's nice and relaxed and fun and WARM.

A place for cool guys, lounging in the sun, not like here, where you have to trudge through the slush.

Yikes, I'm just trapped here , spinning my wheels because my money ENGINE can't take me to the places I want to SEARCH around the world.

Yeah, the northeast in the US is the same way. Nightlife totally dies in the winter. Everyone stays inside. Luckily I met a world traveling player early on in my adventures who told me to do Europe in the Summer/Fall, Asia/South America in the Winter and Spring. Been sticking to that. Haven't felt or seen snow in over two years, and am happy with the poon I've been slaying.

I have a suggestion. The Canary Islands. They are part of Spain, but in terms of geography, part of the African continent. The book "Pleasant Weather Ratings" by Thomas Whitmore (1996) ranks Las Palmas as the only city on earth with a perfect score of 100 for weather (San Diego, California came in second with a score of 95; five cities located in Southern California are in the top ten).

From what I recall (I have read several books on the Canary Islands, but have not yet had the chance to visit), there are three seasons. The off-season (which I believe is summer), the Spanish high season, and the European high season at the height of winter (heavy Brit and German tourism).

The nightlife in the resort areas on Gran Canaria (on the southern portion of the island) during the high season is supposedly insane. Just be aware that this sourthern resort area is also one of the largest gay resort areas in Europe.

The weather on each of the seven islands can vary dramatically. Those closer to Africa are much more hot and dry. That island of Gran Canaria is known as a miniature continent, because of its exceptional diversity of weather and landscapes. These islands are a fascinating place. Not only do they have the best weather in Europe -- but also the best weather on earth.
Do you know what the rest of the top 10 looks like? I'm very interested.

I have never been in europe during the winter, but have spent many in nyc, and it really sucks. Valentines day there is completely depressing, you walk down the cold streets and u can see the desperation in the faces of the unattched. Nobody goes out, there is no day game, staying home and drinking alone is a popular hobby. Then at the start of febuary everyone makes a last ditch effort to get a date for the 14th, by then it is futile because everone is out of practice and has no game.

Last two years I was in the carribean during febuary. I vow I will never again be in a cold winter city for valentines day, especially not nyc.

The Canary Islands, in addition to the weather, have the hottest girls in Spain IMO (Granada being a close second).

Anyway, winter in continental Southern Europe isn't bad. Even in a cold city like Madrid people go out a lot ("cold" for Mediterranean standards). And, if you aren't lucky with the local poon, you can always take comfort from the local food.

The top twenty-four cities with the best weather on the planet:

1. Las Palmas, Spain (Canary Islands) -- 100
2. San Diego, California -- 95
3. Casablanca, Morocco -- 94
4. Port Elizabeth, South Africa -- 94
5. Oceanside, California -- 93
6. Santa Barbara, California -- 93
7. Los Angeles, California -- 93
8. Mexico City, Mexico -- 92
9. San Miduel de Allende, Mexico -- 92
10. San Luis Obispo, California -- 92
11. Anaheim, California -- 91
11. Nairobi, Kenya -- 91
11. San Jose, Costa Rica -- 91
14. San Paulo, Brazil -- 91
15. Antananarivo, Madagascar -- 90
15. Johannesburg, South Africa -- 90
17-24. Five of the next eight cities are in California
(plus Rabat, Morocco; Lima, Peru; and Kunming, China)

Those are not (number) typos above. After the top ten city rankings, cities with
the same number of points (on a scale of one hundred) are considered tied.

This European winter is making me miserable and depressed. There is no sunlight. Nightlife is half strength or lower. It's bitterly cold. Day game opportunities approach zero. Women are bundled up. No one goes out during weeknights and weekends can be dead.

Iceland was the exception in that the weekends were wild and packed with people who wanted to party. I thought all of Europe was like that but nope. Right now I feel like time is standing still, with still a long way to go before the tide turns.

Never again will I come to Europe during the winter. Next year I will be in Colombia or Brazil with warmth and sun and women in skimpy clothing. I learned my lesson.

Ending my trip and returning to Holland in the winter was a big mistake. The weather sucks and it depressing to be stuck here at my parents house with barely any money. Im not motivated to go out at all and havent been out or even talked to a girl since a month (New York)

I was about to ask how you were getting on being back.
I see it's hitting you a little hard!

Think about it though Skywalker...
You've been having the time of your life for 2 years,so sooner or later you've got to refuel yourself or your bank account or both, and work out what you want longer term.

A good time to begin is probably now...I'm in much the same position, but luckily in my own place.

How's the job situation look in the Netherlands!

I like your style and enjoy your posts Skywalker, but I will NEVER understand how guys can put themselves in situations where they are broke, and to add insult to injury, leeching off their parents as grown adults. I'm just saying is all.

Maybe its a cultural thing, but I would be shamed for getting to that point in my family.

I'm afraid I can't do it. I was there when I was 20 and I had little game; I just pipelined and had a date with one girl. What I can tell you is that local culture is a mix between South America and Spain, and even the language is closer to Venezuela than it is to Spain. If it affects gaming girls, I don't really know. There are lots of Northern European tourists too, all year round.

But the local girls are very hot and fit, you have both chicks with Northern African features and chicks with Northern European traits. Even a Swedish friend of mine was impressed.

Well, the (typically) harshest month of winter is still coming up, and really half of March is often winter(y) too. Are you going to stick it out until spring, or change plans and head for warmer climes now? Also: make a video with your bitter complaints! You'll feel better.

Mixx- The European job market is different. Money doesn't flow like in North America. If you look at the board, the biggest flossers from here are coming from a North American base. Those from Europe usually have to be more vigilant on how they spend. Point being - it's easier for cats to get broke like that and there aren't many careers there that allow the type of travel that Neil was able to entertain.

In terms of smashing the pockets in the way Neil did, sometimes one has to step back in order to move forward so I think Neil made a good move. Hopefully he gained some contacts during his multiple stays which he can leverage off of.

Being broke in Europe is not as drastic as being broke in America. In America, money talks. In Europe, not so much. In Europe, I was unemployed and my dating life hardly took a hit. In fact, I got more ass unemployed (more time to hit it and more time to set up dates).

Not so here. Being broke here limits the hits to the fatties and the 'mommies'.

I concur with the staying with the parents though, I just can't get along with my mum, living with her would do my noggin in. However, some cats do have those 'laissez faire' type of parents but not me [Image: smile.gif].

P.S. Neil, I have a friend who says the job market in Holland is pretty shyte right now. Is this true or does it depend on the field you are in?

Yep, the job market isnt easy in Holland. I barely have any education myself and am almost an "older" employee. There are ten fresh university students for every job i go after.

I have plans for my own (niche) company but need to get really motivated to pull it off. Like always i still dont know what to do with my life.

Those are usually very interesting people cause they tried different stuff.
But,it isn't good for peace of mind.

You have identified the problem: motivation. You just need to take action: leave your social safety net.

A poor economy in Holland is no longer an excuse. With an EU passport, you can live and work anywhere in the EU. There are eastern EU countries where ten to twenty percent of the population has moved to western EU countries for work.

In the U.S., since the global economic meltdown many people and companies have migrated from liberal welfare states such as California and New York where the cost of doing business is high to business friendly low-debt states in the south and the mid-west (Texas notable among them).

You have identified the problem: motivation. That is a start. I can identify the solution: leave the safety net of your parents so that you are forced to make your own way in the world. That is undoubtedly holding you back. Your parents are enablers, like the "good friend" who always lends money to his alcoholic or crackhead friend. You will gain a work ethic and eventually stumble into an opportunity. Yes, even those who love you can hurt you. I have seen it in my own family.

Moreover, if you are spending all your money on travel, rather than savings, you will never have the start-up capital for a business opportunity. Life is a balance. If you are addicted to anything, even travel or women, it will have a detrimental effect on your life. Good luck.
