In your Suit you look baggy, most of it is because you have things in your front pockets. Big no no when wearing a suit. Always put things inside your jacket. The jacket hides things really well. Wallet, keys, phone, everything goes in different inside pockets. Youll notice your pants less bulky and others will notice as well for a better fit.

I realized some pockets arent meant for item. The suit also wasnt mine so even I thought it was a little big on me.

No one should wear loose fit denim unless you're fat.

Levis 514 are great, I agree that super-skinny denim (i.e. 511's) looks strange unless it's a complete congruent look that matches your personality.

Honestly, if you're remotely in shape, don't wear loose-fit anything. Understand what fit is and buy clothing that fits and that isn't offensively clashing and you're 95% of the way there. Everything else is details.

I just ordered 8 Brooks Brothers extra slim fit shirts and I'm actually pretty disappointed in the lack of slimness. I'm going to have to get all the backs darted, although I appreciated some extra room in the arms, as most slim shirts assume the wearer has the arms of an 11 year old boy.

Here is what I wore on New Years. I was one of the best dressed people at the bar. However, I am currently in my hometown of 7,500 people in rural Northern California, so not exactly a huge feat. You won't ever catch anyone in a suit at the bar. A button up form TJ Maxx is about the top level here lol. We were pre-partying at the MMA gym I train at, so that's why there is a cage and wrestling mats in the background.



Then I was wearing a new white SF Giants New Era hat and some Adidas Somoa shoes. Also a white Nixon watch. As you can guess, I like white.



Here is a better pic of the jacket I wore. Not my usual style, I am usually more casual, but it caught my eye and has me looking at fashion a bit more closely. I always wear nice jeans and shoes, but the past few weeks have been checking out different styles of dress that would not be common where I grew up. Guess it's a good thing I don't generally live here.

J crew is an awesome label for guys post 25 who can no longer do the Abercrombie shit, or the thug shit and need to step it up while still looking fresh and together.

Anyone know of any good male fashion blogs? I check out HypeBeast.com occasionally but it isn't really my style. Seems to be all streetwear with a Hundreds hoodie, skinny jeans and some high top Supras. Or shit like this which I wouldn't be caught dead in. Red socks? Dunno, maybe I just don't get fashion lol.



Kinda looking for a blog not with just single pieces, but a look book type of style so I can check shit out and get an idea of what I like together.

I have bought Hundreds stuff in eons, it never changes. Supreme stills sells childish looking shit too, but then they also take it upscale with the recent cord suits, Thom Browne OCBD's, etc.

the hundreds is for kiddies. if you're over 18 it's not a good look to be rocking multi colored all over print type shit.

supreme is cool though. the brand has been around since i was a youngin' and they've made some higher end pieces as of late... no matter how many trendy virgin asian kids on the internet love that shit, it's a timeless NY staple as far as i'm concerned.

their lookbooks are always well styled imo. their pieces can be rocked by young looking guys and older heads.

Karmaloop has some decent stuff sometimes, I like that grey cardigan but it's probably too baggy.

Supreme is PISSING ME OFF this year with that Miner's Jacket, the top/left in your post. I want it real bad, but it still hasn't dropped yet that I know of.

I've been buying 'preme since I was in HS back in the 90's, especially the backpacks. As long as they keep the product mature, which they do for the most part, I don't think I'll ever grow out of it.



For winter basics, coats and such, I like Zara, Esprit, and SuperDry.

Jonesing on this right now. SuperDry Jermyn Street Trench. Super slim, side vents, high armholes, etc.






I also like the Uniqlo +J Jil Sander peacoat, but I probably won't be able to find one now.

^ ha, yeah man. preme was just one of those brands i grew up with. a lot of my cousins and friends who were hip hop heads, skaters, graffiti writers, and shit like that put me on to preme when i was a straight baby ha. it's weird when i see some 15 year old suburban kid wearing skinny pants and shit wearing supreme nowadays, not hating cause i'm sure when i was wearing supreme and timberland as a youngin' i'm sure some older cat would've thought i'd look like an idiot. i remember in the late 90's and early 00's all preme fit super baggy. buying an M was like buying a L in another brand.

it seems like they're trying to be the ralph lauren of urban/streetwear now... i love it. as i grow older and the brand seems to mature, the clothes just seem to suit me more than ever.

I know people like to stack denim, but stacked denim should be tighter than that to pull the look off. I'd hem/cuff those, IMO. Shirt's fine.

I agree with you. When that pic was taken my pants were sagging quite a bit because I'd forgotten to put on my belt. Normally it sits a little cleaner on my shoe.
