(I tend to stay away from Cresent Street, too many English speaking people from other provinces and the States, when I"m in Montreal, I party with the Quebecois, much more fun!)

During my first visit to Montreal, I linked up with this Quebecois friend I met when I was down in Buenos Aires. We kicked it hard down there and he partied with me on my birthday. He was the type of blond hair blue eyed guy who was like a rockstar in South America. He got mad bitches down there. Anyway, we stayed in touch and I reached out to him when I went to Montreal. We met up and he took me to this city across the bridge from MTL called Longueuil. I can't remember the exact name of the place, but everyone I told about it said it was a CLASSIC Quebecois kind of spot. We went to this big venue where people were just drinking and taking turns singing karaoke on a big stage to popular songs, both American and Quebecois, but mostly US stuff. The crowd was mostly college aged, and there were a few cuties. It probably sounds lame as a thing to do for fun but I actually enjoyed it because it was a unique experience and I drank plenty.

Montreal isn`t just posh clubs, it also has a huge punk rock and metal scene!!!! If thats you thing, you HAVE TO check out the bar on Ste Catherines called `Foufounes Electriques` which is French for `Electic butt cheeks`, it gets pretty wild there, especially if there`s a live show, Huge mosh pits! Last time I wnet in 2007, you paid $5 to go up stairs and then it was $1 for a bottle of Molson ex!

I was going to mention Foufounes Electriques because it is one of the most popular venues in Montreal. I passed by it on St. Catherine but I wasn't feeling that vibe. I saw the skull and bones and a lot of punk rock and metal types. That's not my kind of scene but I have a friend who told me I should go anyway. I never heeded his advice. Maybe next time...

I wonder what Roosh has to to say about that, was he visiting the wrong parts of town?

I have a good friend who I often travel with for these type of missions and he's been to Copenhagen. He said the same thing as Roosh; don't even bother going. Sweden apparently is where it's at in Scandinavia. It would be dope if Roosh winds up there. I'm aiming for a 2012 visit (fingers crossed). That would be a dream come true!

I say it all the time, especially to my fellow Canadians, spend at least one week of your life in Montreal before you die (preferably in the summer), you won`t regret it!!!

Mixx, no worries whatsoever in Montreal, there is something for everyone in that great city, even if you're a complete nerd thats obsessed with computers and video games, well this is home to Ubisofts largest delevopment studio, they employ 1700 nerds who make some of the best games in the world!

Game wise, Montreal is full of hot women (we all know this, its not really up for debate) whether immigrant or Quebecois de souche (a real 100% French Quebecor), who happen to be the hottest white gals in all of NA, yes I said it, they are, bar none.

When in Montreal, check out the festivals, culture, food, etc. NOt only is this a great place for women, its actually a REALLY COOL city, cool like Barcelona. But be warned, potential players, this place isn't where a dorky unilingual anglo saxon guy from some lame ass place can come and slay the local women, if you can't speak French, you best have tight ass game, fly style and be good looking (I"m not, but I speak French very well so this makes up for it).

Montrealers are cool and ooze sex appeal, unlike where I'm from or some other small city in provincial Canada or USA, they KNOW their city is one of the BEST places to party in North America (some would argue the world!), its hard to impress them when they have this preconceived notion that you are a square ass nerd! That being said, they CAN be very nice, I like how Hencredible Casanova befriended a cool local and left the island to see the "real" Quebec culture, great idea!

If you're American, learn a few easy sentences in French, tell people you meet you want to see the "real authentic Quebec culture" they'll help you out and show you a good time, these people are very BON VIVANT types, they know how to party and have a good time, unlike uptight Anglos like most of us!!! lol

Knowing a bit of French will help. Though it is a romance language like Spanish, the pronunciations are totally different. However, the grammar is similar so if you can read in Spanish, you won't have much of a problem interpreting signs in French.

I remember one time walking into a club and seeing a hot chick smile at me as we were about to pass each other. I instinctively grabbed her arm and said hello. She only spoke French! I was hoping the level of attraction was strong enough so that the caveman communication would persuade her to leave with me, but unfortunately this did not happen.

Language is power. Any serious international player will make an effort to at least get the basics of the local language down.

Great job on the MTL data sheet, Hen. I've been sayin for a long time Montreal is a great little oasis in North America.

Roosh, you should consider doing a couple weeks in MTL if you are going to be on NA soil in the summer. Something to consider.

I went to Montreal this past summer over August Long and it was unbelievable. While I was there there was a fireworks competition featuring some of the best firework groups from around the world. I was drunk or high 90% of the time (they don't care if you have a casual drink in public for the most part in MTL) and definitely want to go back. Besides the obvious draws of MTL, there is a 'tam tam' band that plays at the bottom of Mount Royal every Sunday during the summer. Highly recommend checking this out as it is incredible and lots of people (including university women) flock to the area.

In terms of nightlife I hit some very good spots including Muzique, Tokyo and B-Side. B-Side was most memorable because it was the last night we were there, the club was tiny and packed and there were smoking hot gals (my friend was convinced they were models) dancing on the bar holding sparkler candles.

I hooked up with two 8s while on the trip. The first I saw a french speaking girl sitting alone in a club so I asked her why. My french is average at best and her english was pretty bad but I managed to escalate, get back to her hotel room and get the job done. I still keep in touch with her to this day.

The second was a little less conventional. I was walking back to our hotel on Sherbrooke and I approached a group of 3 girls and asked 'Esque tu parle anglais?' to which they said yes. I proceeded to tell them I was visiting and wanted to know if I would get arrested for driving the bixi bicycles (pay by the hour) while I was hammered. They thought it was funny and told me not to do it. We small talked for a couple more minutes before I started walking again. A couple minutes later one of them catches up to me and invites me back to her dorm room for a drink. DONE.

Montreal is the kind of city that you can spend money very very quickly but the possibilities are limitless. When I travel to Bogota in early January I am sure I will be subconsciously comparing the two cities. I highly recommend everyone on the board visit this great Canadian city. Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and Winnipeg (where I am from) don't compare to the fun you will have in MTL.

Dude, that should be the move for the forum next summer in place of that plan to hit up Eastern Europe (on this thread): http://www.rooshvforum.network/thread-8998.h...k+sea+run,

Montreal is much easier to get too (most of the forum guys live in NA), loads of chicks, no real language barrier like EE, and it's cheap by NA and European standards. Lets do it!

If you want to see local, don't go on crescent and the west part of Montréal you will find tourist only .
During the year specially during winter check when the Canadiens(the hockey team) play. All the pubs-restaurant-bar will be filled . It's
a good place to find a shitload of women and start your night on a good note .
Look For a brewie named '' Les trois brasseurs'' Or St-Sulpice On St-Denis street . St-Sulpice it's a big big terrasse like maybe 4 floor .
It's a very good spot in summer specially during the formula 1 grand prix. On St-Denis during this time of the year, you will lambourghinis, ferraris and other
fancy car and a shit load of women . You haven't mention St-Denis street . It's right in the Latin Quarter And my self when I go out I go there , it's really french .
You will find a lot of bar, microbrewie, restaurant, terasse . Its a not far from St-Laurent .

For the strippers you havent mention Chez Paré and Kamasoutra.
Chez Paré it's right beside of La boom . It's the most well knowned strip club in Montréal .

For restaurant most famous are Europea,Toqué and le pied de cochon .

Actually, I did mention St. Denis. I'm not a strip club kind of guy but the ones I named are very renowned. You can google best strip clubs in Montreal and find that those will often come up.

I agree that the "French part" of Montreal is where you will find more locals, but there are hot chicks in both parts of the city. There's no reason not to party on Crescent St. You would be seriously remiss for not doing so.

Sorry I haven't see the St-Denis part . For the strip club I just point out theses 2 specially Chez Paré because it's an institution and I think for a strip club fan it's a should go . For the west part yes you will find hot women . It's good for someone in visit .

Alfonzo, I mentioned St Sulpice and rue St Denis on an earlier comment in this thread, its my absolute favorite, best terrace in Montreal, but its quite modest looking from the outside, if you didn't know, you could walk right by without realizing that is so big inside and out back!

Terraces are a big deal in Montreal, so are restos and pubs with open fronts on the street, eating out at restaurants and just being "out" with family and friends is a bigger deal there, people don't tend to stay caged up in their apartments all day (unless its winter, of course!), this adds to the cool vibe of the city for sure!

Also, don't be so quick to write off Cresent and the west side, sure they're boring for a Franco guy like you, hell even myself a bilingual square head, I don't hang out there too much, just isn't my style. But for a visitor to Montreal, especially one who doesn't speak French, Cresent street will be fun, there WILL definitely be some fine looking women there, guaranteed, they just won't all be Quebecois.

About the strip joints there, I'm generally not a big fan of strip clubs, especially in Canada, but when in Montreal, I make a point of visiting at least one, last time was SOLID GOLD and it didn't disappoint, they know what they're doing there!

Funny story, the first time I went to a Montreal strip club, I was 18 and went with some other students from the uni, of course, we went to club SUPER SEX. When we got to the door, one of the guys asked the bouncers "can we touch the dancers?" (meaning can you get a $10 lap dance and touch/suck their tits in the private room, play with their pussies, etc), the guy says "no, try next door" so we did, and what was the name of this smaller, slightly shitty place? "SUPER CONACT" LOL good times that night!

Sorry I wouldn't mean to say to avoid the west part . Definetely for a tourist you should take a look . But for me when I go somewhere even when I visit another country ,
I Always look for place with less tourist. It's way more easy to have results . You will rarely see a bunch of women alone . They will be with some boys who don't want to loose their meat . It's often more complicated to find ways to establish a plan with the friend's chick than build attraction with one .

Hey Alfonzo, have you ever been up to the Chicoutimi, Lac St-Jean area? I haven't yet but will be going FOR SURE next summer when I visit Montreal, anytime I mention that region to someone from Quebec, the first thing they say is that the female-to-male ratio at the bars is CRAZY, like 4girls for every guy and that the people up there drink a lot and love to party (which is saying a lot for Quebec), your thoughts?

I'd love to be in club or bar surrounded by a ton of hot Quebecois women, I miss those days!

Yes I have been there and yes the ratio is 3 to 4 women for 1 man . But a long time a go I haven't been there . It's a good area for sure Les bleuets are really good guys and yes They like to drink a lot and party . They have a funny accent and expressions hehe . Also a nice place to visit, it's near The Charlevoix area .
At what time in summer you will be in Québec ?

It depends on my work schedule, but likely July/August for at least 3-4 weeks, I may use Montreal as base city for travels to NYC,Boston,Halifax and other areas of Quebec.

I've had job offers in both Montreal and Quebec City for domestic and international work, I"m considering making the move in the next 2-3 years, I've decided that I just can't live in Alberta anymore, the money is great but the environment sucks, too bad the wages in Quebec are so low and taxes so high!!!
