The breast pocket is not real, so no room for a pocket square.

Sure it's not just sewn shut? (Not uncommon.)

Usually when it's sewn shut, there is some give at the end that lets you start taking it apart, but this suit seems pretty tightly sealed. I'll ask the staff.

Women can tell expensive shoes. Nasty floors should not be a problem (in contrast to hiking through mud and rain).

My experience has been exactly the opposite - women have no clue when I wear expensive shoes. I've tested/retested this one a thousand times. Don't give the average woman too much credit when it comes to men's style. They like the latest trend, or a certain look, but unless they see a logo they recognize, or work in retail, chances are they don't the difference between a casual $40 and a $150 button down shirt. Same with shoes.

As an aside, Bloomberg has only had 2 shoes in twenty years, but I don't see how. I guess I'm rough on shoes since I wear them every day, but I've had them resoled, etc and I still find I have to replace my shoes every 12-18 months for black. Other colors (ox blood) last longer because I do not wear them as frequently.

what kind are you wearing? I've had Ferragamo's, Allen Edmonds, and some Bruno Magli's that even when the get holes in the soles and look like hell I can get them resoled, heeled, and polished and they look good as new. I think the only pair I've had to throw out were a pair of Johnston Murphy cap toes and I wore them like every day for 10 years and finally just put those babies to rest. If you wear them every other day, keep them away from salt, get them polished regularly good shoes will last a long time although they will new heels and soles

A little off-topic, is it better to roll in a tie when suited down or is it fine otherwise also?

If you need shoes, go with a black slip-on that you can shine up. I spent years buying $400 bruno maglis only to learn that you can get the same, if not better, use out of a pair of $100 shoes. Cheaper if you want. Just make sure they don't hurt your feet and you can shine them up. In my years of wearing expensive shoes, even today, women have never complimented them (majority don't know how to spot expensive men's shoes). Good luck.

Agreed Smitty, One doesn't need expensive shoes but stylish shoes that stand out, I get lots of compliments on my Robert Wayne stylish slip ons that I bought on Sale for $ 69 compared to some other expensive shoes that look very business like. So I guess style is more Important than price....

My 2 Cents on Suits:

A lot has been said about suits and is right, what can enhance a suit is accessories Key with suits is they shouldn't look formal or business like
and some spunk can be added to the out fit with these accessories

1. Pocket Square: An Absolute must , I have worn the same suit no body notices, worn with a stylish pocket square I got 10 compliments in a day, women coming and touching the pocket square. You really do not have to spend a fortune on them either $8 from Tiebar.com.

http://www.thetiebar.com/

make sure your pocket sqaure picks some some vibrant colour off your shirt, really makes the whole suit stand out.

2. TiesSome body said it Skinny tie is a must, Knit ties get noticed a lot too

http://www.thetiebar.com/categoryPages/A...s=31,66,62

3.Tie-Bar also can stop people's eyes to focus on you.

4.Cuff-Links : I have tried to rock them but haven't seen any added advantage, there ought to be something I am missing on cufflinks.... advice appreciated.

5. V-Neck T shirts: White T with some minimally vibrant pattern on it under that black suit or a Black V neck looks good as well.

With all these accessories so much mix and match can be done to enhance the whole appearance

To Roosh , Great that you are gearing up in a suit, I have a Gray suit from Zara bought under $200 and gets lots of looks. I would recommend a gray one too if that is the only suit you will carry on you. Although a black suit is a must for any Wardrobe.

My question on Black suits for experienced players how do you make it stand out or look different from Bouncers/Managers working some of the night spots ?

Depends on the occasion.
In the summer having a light colored suit with no tie and no belt is a cocky mix I like. If you wear jeans with the suit jacket you MAY NOT wear a tie. Losing the tie basically makes thing a bit more casual. (duh)

Pocket Squares: I recommend a simple white one to start with. It doesn't look out of place with anything. I fold it so that it's a simple line peeking out, known as the TV fold. Don Draper has it in Mad Men. But I angle it a little, so that it draws attention to my face, instead of leaving it as a flat horizontal line, like so:

Braces (aka suspenders) are a nice alternative to belts. To do it properly, you get pants a little bigger in the waist, get the buttons sewn in for $8, and strap in. Done properly, it can feel like you're wearing no pants at all, because the pants are literally suspended in the air. The suspenders also draw attention to your chest, so if you have muscle and fitted shirts, it will look great, but some say your jacket should always be on so that no one will see your suspenders. Do NOT get suspenders with metal clip fittings.

Before you buy a suit, you may want to take into account your own complexion. One color can make you look washed out, while others make you look lustrous. See http://www.askandyaboutclothes.com/Tutor...alysis.htm

I'm an "Autumn," so high contrast colors like black, navy, ice pink, and white don't look as good as softer tones, like brown, marine blue, medium grey, and purple. This ensemble would be excellent for me, compared to a navy suit and white shirt:

Summer, Winter, Autumn, Spring. Good for classifying your season, but the associated color palettes are off, IMO.

Here's an example of one of my customs:

Cashmere blend with shirt, also built.

Notice the tie is from the same fabric.

Wool overcoat and real fur hat. Gotta have one in EE. Girls go nuts here in the states over it.

Notice the tightness of the wool. Very smooth and shines.

Ali -

I hope you tied the tie for the benefit of the picture.

That is a bad way to store ties.

And you don't button both buttons of the jacket when you wear it or store it.

I just threw it together for the pic. It's due for the cleaners anyway. When I walk into an establishment with this get up it's a showstopper.

Funny one Emech.

Looks like a no-go on this particular suit. The shoulder pad is longer than my shoulder, causing the material underneath to tuck in towards my arm.

That suit, tie, 3 shirts, and the overcoat cost a fraction of stateside prices. You just have to go to the right part of the world. It would be worth me specifically flying to the M. East just to have a round of suits made.

Summer customs are cheaper due to the cost of cotton fabrics.

As it were, I grew up in the textile industry. This stuff is second nature to me.

Again, I rarely wear these stateside. Most places I go, at most, warrants nice jeans, Nason's, and a blazer, with shirt untucked. Most of the time I wear Express, Banana Republic, and Claiborne blazers. They fit me perfect with proper tailoring.

@Speakeasy- Just make sure your shirt tail is shorter than the blazer and you'll be fine. If it's longer it looks sloppy.

For summer suits wear something like the guy at the beginning of this video (works for tannish skin). Actually I imagine myself looking like this guy in around 30 years.

A subtle striped t-shirt can look good behind a fitted blazer, but if the stripes are too big it ends up looking stupid.

Hey Roosh, I got my best looking off the rack suit from FCUK. It was about $300US and I regularly get complimented on it. You may want to check them out. Slender European fit.

H&M also has great looking suits but they are pretty poorly made.

Ali: Those are very square quarters on that jacket, do you ask them to make it that way or is it just their house pattern?

I like pretty open quarters, but I know that can be subjective.

Roosh: For other good slim OTR suits, try J Crew, Ben Sherman, Calvin Klein, and Banana Republic. All will be reasonably inexpensive, and should fit more or less like the Zara would.

That particular suit was patterned after a Hugo Boss black label. Last summer I bought a Banana Republic cotton summer suit that fit amazing. All it needed was the pants hemmed. It's nice to buy an inexpensive suit that is off the rack that fits that well. I got a lot of compliments from it. I think it cost $350.

I hate the term 'peacocking', but this probably falls in that category. Still, I am surprised how many girls wanna come up and pet it, like it's still alive. Another opener is to hide it in my peacoat and pretend it's alive, but that's another story.

Damn Gmac. You dropped some coin on that hat. I may buy one next year. Tomorrow I'll drop you my fur hat game. It's gold. Now I'm going to the titty bar again. Something is burning next to it.

Just bought my starter suit from Zara:

Let's see how the Easter Euro ladies respond to it.
