Most people dwell in tin shacks and bare bone apartments and 99% of condo buildings are god awful.

Filipinas are hideous and / or obese on average and they have a strong racial inferiority complex.

Any white guy around is presumed to look down on them if he isn't all smiles and super social because they're very well aware what kind of shithole they live in compared to the west.

These guys are two upbeat social 8s I would say. Most girls are really awkward around them and they get lots of nasty looks as well.

This is a very big deal that I need to stress even though it's not mentioned a lot. Mayabang, maarte, suplado are all words you'll hear in earshot if you are a reserved, quiet person that is low key and keeps to himself and it starts to seep in how people treat you everywhere. People generally have different standards for foreigners here so if you aren't all grins all the time, you're apparently an arrogant asshole who has no respect.

The difference is staggering if I am alone vs if I am with an upbeat friend or a bubbly local girl. It changes the vibe a lot, but it's exhausting. I can't keep up that act.

mayabang, maarte and suplado what does this mean?

I have friend who would complain how everyone was giving him weird looks because he is a neurotic introvert, though we all thought he was just projecting on the locals.

tell me more about this vibe, you are saying people here are cold to you alone but more friendly when you are with a upbeat girl?

you are saying that a lot of people here will take my no smile demeanor personally?

how do you know this? Id like to understand your perspective better.

They are just ignorant assholes with bad manners. And Filipino culture just has a blatant disrespect for foreigners (expats, not tourists) in general that everyone is constantly up in your shit. Being insecure about their culture, if you have a healthy self-esteem and self-worth, you are a conceited prick by default. Very unlikable people once you realize how quickly those stupid, goofy smiles can turn if they feel slighted. It's just my intuition and healthy mindset that tells me this.

By the way, did you seriously need to post this datasheet? Nothing new or novel that hasn't been mentioned in the main thread.

Maine and Canadian lobsters are the same animal. Prove me wrong.

yes i said in a previous thread that they are all fake smiles , the same cannot be said in other asian countries except thailand, i have friends from Vietnam,China,Malaysia etc, the most friendly people you find in phillipines are usually pastors or jehovas, unlike the crazy jehovas in the west

sometimes they say bad things about me in tagalog and my girls when we pass the squater areas
the constant disrespect and rude comments i have not gotten anywhere else in asia, its really sad and its another reason id rather visit somewhere else in the future, theres no way to avoid squatter hellholes unless you hide in BGC,i generally feel uncomfortable walking anywhere theres poor people, and thats 99% of that country

The truth about the Philippines

OK post but my god. Why did we need a separate thread on this? Please close it. It’s the same fucking thing we all repeat over and over in the main thread.

Go to the PH to cheaply and easily do certain things: bump up your notch count, bang out a project, learn scuba, and do some island hopping.

Don’t expect much from the locals. They’re not beauty queens and the level of education even at college is low. The better looking girls leave with boyfriends or to work as a model. Some become whores.

Sure there’s still some decent quality. It’s Catholic and family bonds are strong. Not every girl leaves. I’ve met some smart ones.

Yes the hot ones are still at a premium. This is true everywhere. At least you get a shot as a an average guy. I’m the West you don’t even get to meet them. Let alone a shot at running some game.

Yes it’s annoying that laundry taking days. I marvel at the inefficiency. Try to remember you’re lucky to already have a foreign passport. You can leave and earn a real income.

Also:
Filipinos are not well educated despite being fluent in English. This leaves us scratching our head, because fluency is almost always a sign of intelligence and high education (when traveling abroad). It just happens to be a national language. Don’t expect them to be smart because they understand you. Their media is restricted and they’re just not used to thinking in the same way as foreigners.

If you want a wife who will cook, clean, and fuck they can be good. The fact that they’re not gonna want to aspire to some lofty career can probably avoid lots of fights in a marriage. But most guys here could probably just hire a maid. That essentially just leaves you with a bang mission or picking out the best one and seeing how it goes.

My experience wasn’t quite that the Phils are the paradise they are made out, but maybe I should go for more than a couple weeks in Manila

Girls also don't want to be perceived as loose race traitors, as that would mean there is no future provider for them at all as word spreads quickly. Hook ups and cheating are done a lot more on the down low than in the west and these girls need plausible deniability, especially if you talk to them in front of their friends. They guard their reputation and put on an act as face is everything in Asia.

Also the reality in the world is that women generally have a strong in group preference when it comes to race and culture unless local guys are deemed weak and women have no concerns about making ends meet. (the west right now)

This is some good stuff, very accurate as far as I've seen in my three years here. I'd like to add that the girls are also influenced by their parents; the "guy to have" now is the local guy from the rich family, whether mixed or full native.

girls above 8 see white guys as low value. believe it or not. because they see them hook up with all those low class 6s and 5s, specially if the girl comes from a rich family.i can understand why they prefer a local dude.the white dude might not stick around ,social pressure etc,if you want to date 8s and 9s you simply need to be already living there and look like a rich/high value man.i mean how else is she gonna introduce you to her friends and family? she is not gonna hookup with a broke ass backpacker or a average dude who works in a office in his country

not with that attitude she wont.

The truth about the Philippines

I rarely read the Philippines thread because everything is based on Manila, Makati, BCG, malls, condos, the same old boring blah that is only of interest to sexpats and temporary visitors with no intention of living there long term. There's more to the country than Manila and Cebu. Manila is not a real representation of the country. You have Baguio, Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Olongapo, Dumaguete, Zamboanga, Batangas, etc etc.

What are the girls like in those places? Are foreigners viewed the same way as in Manila? I don't know, no one talks about it because everyone's too busy talking about Makati and the clubs and the malls.

That's not how we do things in Russia, comrade.

That's where stuff like this happens: http://philippineslifestyle.com/silay-am...sing-beer/

Moving away from the big cities as a foreigner of another race that is at least suspected to be lot wealthier than locals is likely to lead to a lot of resentment unless you dress poor, live low key and don't go to places where trouble is easy to find you (bars, brothels etc.).

It's like a Filipino from Manila moving to the Apalachians because he heard white girls there are poor, easier and less demanding than big city US girls that he can't afford to entertain.

Would most guys here feel comfortable around hicks like that? Now imagine that in the Philippines...

that does not surprise me at all, one of my girls before warned me not to get into a fight with a filipino because they resort to gun violence if you make them lose face, its best not to fight at all in that country,if it cannot be resolved peacefully better speak to the barangay captain or just leave. this might be a loser/beta behaviour in the west but its not worth losing your life over a argument, another reason to stay away from the countryside is the risk of getting kidnapped for ransom, its okay for visiting but i would not live there for a extended time.phillipines is the most violent country in SEA for a good reason
ive seen locals fight to death in the street in manila and nobody would interfere or call the police, the police cannot do shit anyway, they will not help you if you get into trouble. thats why its safest to stay in areas like BGC etc. some of these squatter people live on just 20 pesos a day,so you can understand why they might resent us

I came here for one reason only to bang 9's and 10's here. and sadly everyone seems way to happy to get their dicks wet with the average girl here.

Those kinds of places are great to visit for a few days to see the scenery and nature and even to get the experience of a provincial city but are not nice to stay long term.

It's very very difficult to find any hot girls and your exotic value will be too high to the point that people view you as an alien rather than a human.

However, if you appreciate natural beauty and don't mind no makeup, boyish/unfashionable clothing, sun dried skin, total lack of cultural connection or common interests etc then there are some cute girls.

The only way it would be at all desirable would be to stay in a place of extreme natural beauty. All of the 2nd and 3rd tier Philippine cities that I've visited are depressing, polluted and slummy but without the buzz and energy that Manila or Cebu has to make up for it.

The only place that I'd say possibly has some potential is Baguio due to it's large student population and cooler climate which means you're not constantly sweating but I can't be sure because I haven't got a chance to go there without a girl in tow and didn't see any stunners.

The truth about the Philippines

1. this whole guys are talking shit on you seems way too paranoid. sure maybe some do, but how often does this actually happen to you?

I have had girls tell me that other Filipinos in Tagalog would say I'm so handsome where did you find him. It cuts both ways.

Some people in america talk shit on Muslims, yet i have a few Muslim friends here and most people are cool with them esp, in big cities.

2. I have heard from one girl that their is a crab mentality were some Filipinos will judge you and the girl for being seen as trying to get a leg up in the world by going for a white guy.

3. Yes 8's and 9's who are poor will be happy to date a foreigner. Their families will be happy for her as well.

I know a 60 year old expat who has a model gf, he told me he shoots models and that if I show up to the pageants with a high def camera girls will ask for me to shoot them. Not sure if its that easy but i saw the photos he took for one of his models and I did see his girlfriend.

However the girls that are in pageants a good amount of them will come from poor backgrounds, since 40% are poor. He basically is a sponsor because he gives his ex gf's an allowance each month. He even told me one of the models asked to marry him right after sex. some girls here really need those sponsors in life.

4. Does anyone have experience with approaching big groups like 5 - 6 people? I usually do not bother.

5. A girl I banged I asked would you be happy if your baby came out all white and no trace of Filipino? She said most girls want:

1. half baby

2. white baby

3. Filipino baby

this is one girls opinion, obviously not enough to draw conclusions but its interesting to talk about with the girls.

Also ill ask a bunch of girls about the sneering thing. Some of the guards in my place give me looks like your the man, did have 1 girls giving me that salty face but its cool.

A fine strategy. Only, many of them are now being taken by middle and upper class local guys often before the age of 18.

The truth about the Philippines

I wonder what would happen if a white guy, say 25-45, decent looking, went to a medium sized city, learned tagalog to a reasonably fluent level and spoke it with everyone, learned a bit about the history and current events, adapted his mannerisms slightly in order to fit in a bit, and mostly dressed like the locals, and lived according to the average local income level (regardless of his real income), and overall integrated himself while not selling out and trying too hard.

I think anyone who makes an effort to achieve most of those things will probably have the most realistic insights, and have the best time long term.

It's a shame that foreigners have a bad reputation due to all the sexpats and old guys with 19 year olds. But there's no one to blame for that except the foreigners who create that bad impression. However, whose fault is it that filipinas go along with that? You can only be responsible for the impression that you help to create. I think the Philippines is a real mess when it comes to how foreigners are viewed. The colonial mentality doesn't help.

The only way you can really be taken seriously there is to integrate yourself as much as possible and remove yourself from anything that reminds people of the typical sexpat or dirty old man. Whether the image is accurate or fair is irrelevant to the fact that it exists, unfortunately.

In this video they're showing the guy a video showing what filipinas had said when asked if they prefer a fat, old but rich foreigner V a young, handsome but poor filipino, as well as a young, handsome foreigner V the same but filipino (which I posted on the last page). Almost all of them preferred the foreigner.

Watch from 1:17. Listen carefully to what he says. He resents the filipinas for preferring foreigners (fair enough), and he resents the foreigners too. But then when asked whether foreigners are welcome, he says yeah bro, we want your money. Just like a pimp. It's like "Hey maaaaan, don't come here and take our women...but if you insist then at least give us some cash bro cos I got like so much self respect and dignity maaaaan". You can really see the butthurt in his face. I feel for him in a way but the attitude is not good. Most of the others in the video responded in a similar way. It's like they have some basic ability to think, but a lot of their thoughts are half baked.

Some people are going to be haters, that's life, grow a thicker skin or go back to Denver or wherever the fuck your from.

There are different types of expats, and different types of filipinas. The worst of one attracts the worst of the others, and vice versa. That's what's happening. Meanwhile, the expats who want the real thing are finding it with decent filipinas. Which ones do you hear about? Which ones live quiet, fulfilling lives?

They're justified in being pissed off with the worst expats. But those expats do not go with decent girls. They should be just as pissed off with the filipinas that go with them, and they should maybe ask themselves what is it about their own country that causes this? How can it be that 99.9% of the girls interviewed said that they'd go with a foreigner for his money and white skin?

Instead, everyone gets put into the same category and no one learns anything, and a bad vibe is created.

That's not how we do things in Russia, comrade.

The truth about the Philippines

I think in Manila you just have to use your head. Don't make yourself a target and you likely won't be one. Don't try to pick up someone elses girl when you're out. Accidents do happen of course, but I mean to blatantly disrespect a guy by flirting with his woman will probably not end well for you. Just be polite. Don't get shitfaced and escalate any kind of dispute, because that probably won't end well for you either.

Also don't treat the girls you meet like they are whores, even if they might be on the spectrum somewhere. They can also cause a lot of problems for you. I've heard of guys getting blacklisted by immigration, rape accusations, set up to be robbed or worse, etc.

There was even an older expat business owner that criticized the garbage in Puerto Galera on Facebook and got blacklisted from the country. I don't know how that all turned out, but it can be that easy to lose everything.

I'd also be very careful about living outside of the foreigner bubbles. You often hear or read about some foreigner getting shot or stabbed in a home invasion style robbery, or basically assassinated over a business or land dispute.

Don't ever get too comfortable. You're always going to be an outsider.

What are the girls like in those places? Are foreigners viewed the same way as in Manila? I don't know, no one talks about it because everyone's too busy talking about Makati and the clubs and the malls.

I went to Bacolod. I did not see any cute girls walking around, I tried tinder and ran out of girls after 10 or 20 swipes. I got maybe 3 matches and one was in Ilo Ilo.

The girls in Manila are hotter and also more likely to not worry about a friend/family member seeing them with a foreigner. I had banged a girl from Bacolod when I was in Manila and banged her again in my short 3 days in Bacolod. She was very nervous being seen with me there and was worried about what hotel I was at because someone might see her going there. When I met her in Manila I went back to her apartment after clubbing and she did not give two shits.

Bacolod does have some amazing chicken (some of the best grilled chicken I have ever had), but besides that I don't see much of a reason to go there.
