World Cup 2018

My Fan ID was approved about three weeks ago and is still making it's way through the Russian mail system, go figure. Lodgings in Moscow are super overpriced but that's to be expected. I got a studio airbnb about a 10 minute metro ride to the center for $220 a night, which still beat most hotels by a mile. I wouldn't be surprised if half of muscovites rent out their flats and hit the dacha.

Also going, managed to snag 4 tickets for Moscow and St Petersburg. StP is way cheaper than Moscow so far, paid around 270 a night in Moscow and only 90 for StP . My Fan ID took around 3 weeks but I ordered it early on before Christmas. I've been using Language Learning apps to find chicks and has been working so far but we will see when the Cup comes around.

My friend got his Fan ID mail yesterday. It took him almost 3 weeks.

Some of the matches are really in absurd cities. I mean, distance between two cities are like 1,800 km away.

Did they ever think of fans how they would be traveling? There is a 3 day gap between 2 games, how the hell are we supposed to travel 1,800 km?

FIFA are a complete joke. All group games should be in the same city for the convenience of fans. I spent tons on internal flights in Brazil and it will be the same for Russia.

I was in Brazil for the World Cup in 2014. Although I had fun, to some extent, I also felt like it was the worst time to go to Brazil. Everything was more expensive, and there were way more foreign guys going for local girls. The clubs were often full of male football fans. The games will still be memorable, and you'll still meet women if you come to Russia, but I think you'd enjoy Russia at least almost as much for a fraction of the price if you go in May or July, or another year.

My advice would be to go to to Iceland, as something like 10% of adult males will leave that island to go to the world cup, leaving their womenfolk behind. Same logic applies, although to a lesser extent, to Poland, Sweden, Germany, Argentina, and Brazil, which all, at the very least, will be seeing less backpacking tourists then as millions converge on Russia.

I strongly disagree. I was at the Euros in Austria and Ukraine and at the World Cups in Germany and South Africa. Except in Ukraine I managed to get laid at least once during all the other tournaments. Of course ratios are not good at all but 95% of football supporters are either married, just want to get drunk and party, or doing P4P and strip clubs.

On the other side locals can get out of their boring lifestyle with events and parties going on everyday in their boring cities and everyone is in an almost holiday kind of mood. Furthermore lots of countries have quite a high female ratio of supporters. Go to the cities where Sweden, Colombia, Brazil are playing.

On another note. There is currently the last minute ticket sale going on. It is a first come first serve sale so if you want easy access into Russia for over a month just buy a ticket for some group game and go to any city you want.

this is spot on. i went to Brazil and whilst the place was over run by foreign blokes who were on the prowl for the world cup i found that there was more than enough women to go around because the Brazilian women love foreigners and they all came out of the woodwork to join in on the fun.

When Australia played Holland in Porto Alegre we all went to a bar/club in the centre of town and the place was full of hot brazilian girls and they were all so keen for it. They just wanted their Australian flag. Within a few hours there was literally a queue of local girls waiting to get into the place. There were fairly average looking guys picking up stunners all over the place.

It didnt matter how old you were, if you were married or whatever, everyone was getting a piece of it. to be honest i've never seen anything like it. my best mate and i ended up doing a mother/daughter combination (i got the daughter and she was engaged so it took a bit of work but it was worth it!!). my mate did the mother in her car.

Rio was a little bit more difficult as foreigner value isn't quite as high and there was probably a larger concentration of guys in Rio. In saying that i was able to score a ONS there on my last night before flying out to Porto Alegre.

one thing i learned about Brazilian girls versus Australian or other western girls is that if you can't play it cool with them or you'll lose them to another guy. if you're working on a girl then you need to stick with her all night.. if you play it cool and go off looking around at other options then when you come back she'll be off with another guy. You have decide if you want her and if you do then you have to stick with her and then you'll be rewarded at the end of the night with a ONS most likely.

I expect Russia to be fairly similar, especially outside of places like Moscow.

Hahahaha

I remember listening to tbe radio driving into work.

Outraged Melbourne males at the WC in Brazil calling up saying too many Aussie fans were picking up Brazilians out of their league.

They said there was a point system from 5 to 1 and Aussie dudes were 5.

(My mate is married to a Brazilian and she said that it was going on.)

Instead of being happy the callers were pissed off.Typical white knight Melbourne mother fuckers. No other male gets upset like a Melbourne dude does if you are doing better than your smv.

World Cup 2018

Holy shit I just realized this is basically the only "real" world cup for another 8 years. In 2022 it will be in Qatar and sex outside marriage is illegal over there. So the local population is basically off limits and on top of that sex with other tourists may also be hindered. There is also the problem that they are basically using slaves to build there stadiums and I just feel like that world cup will be completely fucked up. If they don't change there laws I don't really see the point in going to such a restrictive world cup. I hope they do change there laws and with their reaction to the blockade against them by other middle east countries and with them seeming to ally more with the west I think it's a possibility.

with the chance that I may have to wait another 8 years for a world cup opportunity this has really made me now want to go to the 2018 russia world cup.

Plus don´t forget the 2026 World Cup will mostly likely be held in the US, Canada and Mexiko so another World Cup to skip. The next one where you could travel to is 2030 so that is the only decent opportunity for the next twelve years.

Which games you going to? Do you think different cities will have better quality of girls? Like if Columbia and brazil are playing a game against eachother I'm wondering if the quality of those girls going to the game would increase the quality of girls in that city during that game noticeably.

I'm gonna stay in Moscow and St Petersburg for sure and I could add Nizhny Novgorod to the list because of Argentina vs Croatia match.

I won't try to travel everywhere this time because I did that in Brazil during World Cup 2014 and half of the trip was spent on the road, since both Brazil and Russia are really big countries.

So far, I'm planning to stay 10 days in Moscow and 10 days in St Petersburg as of now.

I'm looking for apartment's in St Petersburg and in Moscow.

An apartment that cost like 2500 rubles ($35) right now in May, cost like 12,000 rubles ($180) for June during World Cup.

If anyone is going to be in St. Petersburg between June 21-29 and need a place to stay, let me know.

We booked an apt in the center for €230 for 5 people but we'll be 3 people. We can fit 2 more people in.

Just received tickets in the mail. To resell the tickets you need to reassign them to someone who already has a Fan ID. There is a "Guest Transfer" button under the "My Requests" page on the FIFA ticketing website to complete this process.

I decided to go after Russia made getting a visa extremely easy (buying a ticket to game includes a visa) and will hit up St Petersburg, Moscow and either Sochi or Kazan.

Still trying to finalize where I am going. Should be expensive but fun!

I wanted to go but on fifa.com, all the tickets for the big games are sold out, especially in Moscow or St. Petersburg. Recommend second tier cities like Saransk - was there for New Year, lots of talent.

You are going to have fun on the russian railroads. Not a bad place to pick up girls as well and first class had wifi. Discount tickets here on tutu.ru
