Quinoa is tasty. But advocates of the Paleo diet (read: FAD diet... ya, i said it...the Paleo Diet FAD will hopefully die out in a few years from now) will say that grains are bad for you.

Here's a basic grocery list for you:
Eggs, fish- salmon, sardines (only wild caught, not farmed), chicken, almonds, extra virgin coconut oil (to be used for cooking), olive oil, sunflower seeds, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, spinach, cucumber, onions, oranges, blueberries

Funny that you emphasize that the paleo lifestyle is a fad, and then go on to recommend a shopping list of foods -- all of which fit in well with the paleo lifestyle. I think it's easier to show links to the negative effects of grains on the human body than it is to show positive. So, yes, I will say grains are bad for humans (I developed this belief through personal experience). Just because something goes mainstream does not make it wrong or bad.

This is precisely why one shouldn't be giving advice pertaining to health on a forum. Do you guys know what he's allergic to? Why would you do that? What if he takes your advice and activate "sleepers"?

I think there is a fine line between health advice (that pain in your stomach is nothing, don't worry about it) and dietary advice (blueberries are good for you). This is a discussion forum where ideas and thoughts are exchanged.
I think it's pretty obvious that at the end of the day, if anyone decides to follow advice from this forum, they are responsible for their actions and the consequences.
In a way, what you're saying is similar to asking: Why give advice to pump and dump women when a man can contract a disease? The user who follows that advice is responsible for doing the research on safety and consequences (condoms and diseases) and taking the proper precautions.
I understand and respect your point, but I just fundamentally disagree with you that it is wrong to give advice on a dietary lifestyle that contains every day foods (not suggesting he take a risk and eat tree bark or horse manure).

I also agree with your points as well, but you do know that most people do in fact get sick from eating a lot of the wrong things, albeit they have good intentions. I just don't want him to start taking bits and pieces from 50 different posts, and thinking, wala, I got this thing figured out. Maybe I've seen it too much .Imagine the FDA approving every single diet ever prescribed to "make you healthier". They can't even decide on a balanced diet with al the knowledge they have.

Quinoa, is a grain-like crop grown primarily for its edible seeds.

You'd be right.

The discussion has focused a lot on quinoa which is great, but in doing so has ignored bee pollen which in my view is the true king of superfoods. Take a spoonful of this stuff and you'll see what I mean. It's rocket fuel!

I don't know about allergies. I don't have any. I can just say that for me as a guy without allergies to it, it did marvels when I was living in Barcelona. I was an absolute freak when it came to energy levels.

As a natural therapy, I can tell you dump any and all you have to add, of course, unless you are willing to blood analysis, to show you your nutrients, minerals and vitamin deficiency. Second, most people do not know orac they eat any fruit or vegetables and the best level of the value of eating these things.

I bought about 5 kilos of the stuff back in 2009 when I was living in Barcelona. I had bought it from a health shop called Renobell on Passeig de Picasso near the Arc de Triomf. It was in granule form and whenever I took even a small handful of the stuff any fatigue from a 12 hour shift at a stressful job would instantly disappear, courtesy of vitamin B12.

I'm sure most Western countries have bee pollen, including the States so search for it, buy a bulk amount and take a little every now and then. It's said to be the only food in the world that contains all essential vitamins/trace elements etc needed by humans, and also contains a lot of complete protein. Google: bee pollen health benefits. It's more than just hype.

Pollen looks a bit pricey, might look into buying a small amount at first to see how well it works for me.

It's the radical absorption rate each fruit or vegetable has in its property when dealing with free radicals. "Free radicals" is what the scientific community has determined as molecules in cells that have caused cells to change their molecular structure because of diet, oxidation, stress, etc. It is the catalyst for many ailments, so, for instance, when a cell has been hijacked by free radicals , the dna/rna structure of that cell can be modified via the pairing of electrons and therefore cause ,cancer ,etc. I wouldn't worry about that at your age. To simplify things, O.R.A.C ,just means the amount/rate of absorption that each fruit contains in controlling a particular free radical.

There is a computation for each fruit and vegetable that would render a free radical harmless, but most people wouldn't be able to follow that.As an example, let's say you were a smoker , you would have to understand how many free radicals are created per cigarette, and how much o.r.a.c. per fruit/vegetable, you would need to eradicate the free radical that was created from that cigarette.

Though you can speed up the time of cellular death by not eating the right foods, stressing out , and ingesting general poisons that speed up the process of DEATH,there are many cells which are not affected by O.R.A.C. value or free radicals, hence complicating the issue of what foods, affect what cells. You can eat ,or forage like a fucking gorilla on raw foods or pure plantation, not smoke ,drink, or indulge in polluted behavior, and it would not matter because they are enough cells in your body that are programmed base. You are fucked at some point , no matter what you do. When the "time" has come, the time has come.

Would you believe that the number one precursor to a lot of ailments that are curable, is stress? There are no foods to cure you of stress.

On another note, unless one knows what your genes are genetically programmed to do at a given time, eating right, (whatever that means these days) can only prolong a particular sickness from appearing way before its time. I have family members that eat hogs, nasty shit eating catfish, smoke cigars ,and drink some serious fermented shit that still hasn't been labeled , yet, the motherfuckers are quite healthy. The reason is that there are genes that are not affected by such things in certain individuals. Now, another bastard may just smoke the wrong shit, eat/drink the same shit as the first group that was not affected, and wala, it's game on. Sorta like Russian roulette when you are talking about what may /may not affect a healthy cell via the amount of free radicals you have roaming in your body.

Eat well, fuck well, and try your best to remain stress free, until the appointed time.
