That's $120-140,000 just to keep the kids alive! Then they had to crowdsource $16,000 to build an extension on their house. Family friends who would be in their 70s now are a case study for this in my mind.

They are a successful white couple who went on to raise two successful white children.

They also adopted two African American kids when they were under the age of 5 and when their biological children were heading off to University.

Their biological children have both went to good universities and have had successful careers, along with providing them with grandchildren.

The adopted children, who were raised with exactly the same high standards of living as their biological children, have grown up to essentially be bums. They never went to college and are in their 20's still living at home and unemployed (days spent smoking weed and playing video games with no ambition for something more). The adopted African American kids do not get along with the biological children.

It is obvious to anyone close to the family how much stress, family friction, and disappointment their "good deed" of adoption has been for them.

The pastor at my church did this with five kids from an orphanage. He gave them back within a year and left the church shortly after that. Even as a child it seemed like a rash decision.

Personally I'm curious to know how the fuck you're allowed to adopt 8 kids in one hit. From what I understand it's difficult enough to convince the state you're fit to adopt one kid, much less eight.

I get the sneaking suspicion that if a couple attempted to adopt 8 foreign white kids (or asians for that matter) that they would be immediately arrested and investigated for potential sex-traffiking crimes.

Nah I disagree on that. I'm clearly the tyrant, but I can observe weaknesses in others and know what their limits are around me, enough to make an executive decision on their behalf. When I met her I was not exactly interested in a large family at the time. That was something I found interest in later, so that affected my searching at the time.

My kids can learn from me as well. My father is too blue pilled to have handed down a wisdom like that, but considering his background, he did the best with what he understood.

Besides, I am not exactly ballin over here. Flying back and forth between China and the USA with kids is not cheap at all.

If I had to do everything all over again with what I know now, I probably would have gone for a 18-20 year old, gotten 4-5 out of her, stayed in the USA, took some different job offers, got an MBA, and hired a nanny. 24-25 is too late and too harsh on their bodies to constantly go back to back on kids more than twice. After each kid the recovery time is worse and longer than the previous time.

I don't have any regrets, but that's just my honest Monday Morning Quarterback look at how I did and what I would have done differently. God still has a plan for me and my tribe, I am quite certain through faith everything will work out for the best and on time.

It's extremely difficult to even get approved for adoption within the US. Close friends of mine have been through a ton to get approved. They started the process a year ago. They have shelled out a shit ton of money to make it happen, along with jumping through hoops with paperwork. They also had random house inspections where people came and went through their house and belongings to make sure it was kid safe and friendly.

This process is far from a walk in the park.

I have a close associate with a similar experience and result. One of their mixed-race adopted children has not adjusted well and will spend the rest of life tormenting the adoptive parents. The other is doing well enough and is not demonstrating major problems, thankfully.

With adoptive kids, you usually lose screening capacity. You have no idea what is going to happen biologically. The problem is compounded with mixed-race and cultural issues. How can a white parent help a young black man navigate in a white environment - where they will always have a distinguishing/outgroup identity - or a black environment - where the parents have little/no basis? It takes a strong parent-set (father figure must be firm) to pull it off.

Note: In one case, I observed that this environment delivered a kid that is finely tuned to manipulate "white guilt." Highly likely that these kids will be trained from a young age at how "oppressed" they are, how they are constantly "profiled," etc. Their Churchian and liberal teachers/coaches/etc. and even family members will often "socially promote" them and buffer them from any racial offense - legitimate or not, historical or present, fabricated or actual. Such an environment sets up a highly manipulative, narcissistic personality that trains the child from an early age to play on these emotions.

I suspect that President Obama learned this from a young age, as well as Colin Kapernaeck. Black/mixed race kids, raised in a relatively affluent white culture, indoctrinated with a victim mind-set. One was masterful at baiting guilt-obsessed/cuck opposition into capitulation, all the while playing a Jesus figure. The latter has the NFL at its knees, literally and figuratively.

I won't hate too hard, but I always feel a little salty when people adopt kids from abroad instead of our homegrown orphans. It's just such a virtue signal that I can't ignore it. We breed animals for certain behavioral traits, it's foolish assuming humans are any different.

Adoption is a crapshoot. Depending on the child you're taking in you're going to run into all sorts of issues being the end result of low impulse control and other undesirable personality quirks. Intelligence being the biggest one. You think these african kids are going to be smarter than 85 IQ points? Ha!

Regardless, this family could have adopted any number of American born orphans who would probably be slightly better behaved and would appreciate the opportunity given.

Adopting kids of another race is weird, plain and simple. Fortis and others said it more precisely than I have.
