Dutch man marries Malaysian daughter of a sultan

I don't think it's a bad deal. Asian Muslims tend not to be retarded Jihadis, especially not those Sultan types. Not to mention, having the name of a legit wealthy Sultan behind your name probably opens up lots of doors with not just Malaysia but also the arab world. It might not be such a bad deal for a guy whose only skillset is being handsome. Not to mention, he had to vet himself to the dad, so he's probably marrying into the confidence of a strong and smart family. How many guys can genuinely say that they had to vet themselves to the dad in that old school way?

Could he have married an 18 year old Ukranian 10? Probably, but that really isn't for everyone. If he's happy and he's marrying up I don't see a problem.

I will be checking my PMs weekly, so you can catch me there. I will not be posting.

Which is sort of how I heard of this. Malaysian chick messaged me about it, also making some remark about them probably getting good looking kids because "Dutch plus Malaysian is the perfect combination" wink wink.

She looks fairly feminine. Should have married a few years ago to have a large family. Who knows, maybe they actually like each other?

This / It'll open a lot of doors for him and she seems nice. The Netherlands is on course to become an Islamist shithole, but at least proudly secular female opinion-leaders like Aminah are helping prevent the same thing happening to Malaysia.

Was he always a Muslim or did he convert to Islam just to marry her?; if so that's not a great sign as changing your religion for a woman sounds very 'beta' to me.

The Sultan is half-Malay half-European. His daughter is already mixed, now they add another Whitey to it. The kids may look like Prince William with dark hair.

It will be like the Ottoman rulership which later was 99,90% European with 0,1% Turkish genetics for better beard growth.

Since she is cute and looks nice, then I think that this is not the worst of options so long as he is accepted by her family.

The dutchman is probably a great guy, otherwise, her father wouldn't risk his future kingship by letting someone sketchy into the family. (The king is elected every five years by his sultan peers.)

From what I hear through the grapevine (someone who's family went to the wedding) the couple, sultan and crown prince seem to have nice personalities.

Really strange to see Malaysian news pop up around here...

Yes he has to convert into Islam by law to marry a Malaysian Muslim (for the marriage to be recognized here).

As far as sultans go, he definitely picked a powerful and influential one to marry into. They play quite a proactive role in the state businesses there. His financial future is definitely secured. The wife only needs to pull a few strings, get him to sit on a few boards in local companies, and he gets paid for life.

They will have pretty hot children too, so thats a plus.

Respect for his hustle. Its probably equivalent to buying 100,000 bitcoins @ $4 and cashing it in last week at $4,000.

For all the talk of yellow fever, maybe she had a bad case of White Man Fever? Some Asian chicks date nothing but white guys, not that the white dudes are complaining. You rarely see such a high society chick marry someone other than an Asian man. Certainly an exception to the rule.

Here's what happens if royalty keeps on marrying white:

Rahim Aga Khan's father, grandfather and great grandfather all married white women. The great grandfather was Indian.

Here he is with his wife and kids:

I think he has a better taste in women than the men in the British Royal family...

Not just white women, white women who are models, actresses and royalty in their own right. Aly was a notorious playboy.

The Aga Khan and his family are modern day aristocrats: good looking high status men who maintain the family lineage with infusion of good genes. They invest their money wisely and donate it to philanthropy, such as the various Aga Khan hospitals across the globe. At the same time, they keep a relatively low profile and none of them get into crazy Paris Hilton-like shit. Aly may be the exception, and it's unsurprising then that his dad (Aga Khan III) passed him up and made Aly's son the new Aga Khan, at the age of 20 no less.

Despite having British citizenship, he spends most of his time at his French chateau in Aiglemont, a vast estate near Chantilly about 40 kilometres north of Paris. He grew up in Nairobi, studied in Switzerland and then graduated from Harvard.

The Aga Khan assumed the role of 49th Imam of the Shia Ismaili Muslims during his junior year at Harvard, succeeding his grandfather, His Highness Sultan Mohamed Shah Aga Khan III, at the age of 20. This is the first time in the family's 1,300-year history that a generation for the Imamat had been skipped over.

I've generally had a dislike for the Aga Khans. I've never been able to put my finger on it. It might simply be because the 25 milliom Nizari Ismaelis are required to tithe, which goes directly to the Aga Khan family and their foundation. Maybe it's because I grew up in a community where the spiritual leaders were expected to live a far more modest life than the average person. Something about being the Imam of a group (which the Aga Khan is) yet living like aristocrats just seems a bit seedy.

Or maybe they're running some next-level game: having a deep understanding of human behavior, they use their status, connections and wealth to protect their flock (the Ismaelis) and I'm just a hater. If I recall correctly, the Ismaelis have been prosecuted across the Muslim world for a long time and the Aga Khan family had to flee to India for their own protection.

The Aga Khan’s relationship with the Trudeaus goes back to the 1970s when Ugandan dictator Idi Amin expelled Ismailis from his country. The Aga Khan called on then-Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau to give his people a safe haven, and Canada took in 7,000 Ismailis.

“He was a pallbearer for my father’s funeral. He has known me since I was a toddler,” the prime minister said of the Aga Khan’s relationship with his family.

Today, an estimated 100,000 Ismailis live in Canada, and the Aga Khan enjoys ties to many of Ottawa’s political elites.

In 2008, the Aga Khan opened a de facto embassy to Canada in Ottawa.

For his ties to Canada and his reputation as a philanthropist, the Aga Khan has received praise from both Liberals and Conservatives: In 2009, he was named an honorary Canadian by then-Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

On average the wealthy people in Muslims countries have more Western lifestyle, they travel and spend lots of their life in Europe and USA, they are Muslim just in name mostly.

Some here need to read La Fontaine story about the wolf and the plump collared dog...

Sire Loup l'eût fait volontiers ;
Portants bâtons, et mendiants ;
Moyennant quoi votre salaire
Sera force reliefs de toutes les façons :
Os de poulets, os de pigeons,
Sans parler de mainte caresse. "
Cela dit, maître Loup s'enfuit, et court encor.

It's a question of alternatives.

If he continued along in Singapore, he'd get a few years of bangs before the momentum from his footballing days wears out, and he returns to his mediocre marketing job in Amsterdam and a rented house in a sketchy area. Looks only carry a man so far, so I doubt he'd get a Ukranian 10.

By marrying her, he gets a nice wife and an understanding and tolerant father. He can network with high class people across the world, and his children are guaranteed a good future.

He now has a lot more power to change his circumstances and the world than he did before.

Isn't that the same mentality of a divorce raping western women?

I'm not saying dudes shouldn't have a backup plan, but really, hes won nothing?

Maybe he genuinely loves her, she seems very feminine, shes thin and pretty, maybe she fucks his brains out and does anything he wants and is crazy about him, considering his humble position in life I'd bet that's the case, its not like she wants him for the money.

How often do marriages like this fall apart? Its probably extremely rare.

This guy just made the decision to cash out of the game, good for him.

Worst case scenario, they hate each other in 10 years and he can fuck cute little side pieces during his future business trips.

O Brave New World indeed. Gigolos are admired and respected, rising - come to think of it - along granny-fuckers, as high as presidents of powerful nations.

There was a time, men used their dicks strictly for pleasure, not for advancement in life... for advancement, they used their arms, minds and courage. But, those times are gone, welcome to the 21st century and the new norms.

Also, there was a time, men (apostates) abandoning their religion for money or interest, were considered as absolute scum in any and all religion...

I'm pretty sure by the way that apostasy is a terrible crime in Malaysian law...

Yet here they are, fomenting apostasy in Christians... unfair, and sad.

e.g. Lina Joy, Malay muslim woman, was denied the right to become Christian:
