I agree with rockoman. There is nothing satisfying about a person being tortured and murdered in such a way. Western women are raised in such a way that they put themselves in foolish situations such as this. They don't deserve to die for it though.

Look - death can get you anywhere. You walk out of your New York apartment, slip and fall badly.

Girls can travel too, but it depends where they can journey unsupervised. Taking a walk through most Polish cities during day - perfectly fine. Taking a walk through any more dangerous places alone is not advisable. In most Eastern European cities going out at night with your girlfriend is enough security. In WEstern European cities it is already advisable to bring a male chaperone or friend. In 3rd world countries it is better to also be more careful in most locations. I've literally never heard of it happen in Thailand. It is not uncommon for some old dude to be popped off in the Philippines though, but it isn't a spur of the moment thing, it is planned over a longer period of time and usually takes places in the provinces.

There's a lot of risks and scams for men who travel and we should be aware of these too. Generally, any man who goes out and tries to get local women, is not at a great risk, even whoremongers are generally quite savvy. It's the backpackers with their magical reality of noble savages who are most at risk. I should add to this that my life has been threatened in Thailand for doing absolutely nothing wrong. Local pride and face saving can be a deadly combination.

You probably hit on some girl and didn't make sure to figure out who she was with first. We've all been there. Usually there's still some warning you're about to get into trouble. Compassion often needs to come out as a sort of anti-compassion.

If these reckless women start to have the sense that men will be reluctant to help them and risk themselves for them in these situations, I think the reckless behavior will go down.
