Eastern Europe (EE), South East Asia (SEA) or South America (SA). But you have to pick one to avoid transcontinental flights. If you do you can easily last half year with this sum. I advice you choose 1 of these 3 countries as a base. Colombia, Ukraine or Philippines.
Read my
World Travel Log to see my experiences in SEA and SE. And I am going to EE next

Hire me for a consultancy on how to use the search option in internet forums for a 1.000 Euro. The remainder of the money will then be spent much more wisely.

You could last way longer than 6 months on 10k in EE or SEA.

That could last you a year somewhat comfortably in most Latin American cities or obviously last you a bit longer in SEA.

There have been a lot of questions like this lately.
Please, be more specific with the question. Saying "travel" for "as long as possible" is not enough. One place? Many?
What are you hoping to accomplish, for how long, what amount of moving around, what level of living standards? How old are you?
And to the people who answer, you can live a long time in such and such region PLEASE tell us exactly what country.
Too many people say "you can live in south america for a long time." Useless fucking post.
I've been to every country in South America. How about some details responders please.
I'd love to answer but ask a better question.

How far you can go with your budget depends on your lifestyle. Some extra details on what you are expecting would be helpful.
Thailand was the best for me cost and lifestyle wise. I lived there for 6 months in 2015 (Bangkok) and overall i think i spent just a little over 10k. I stayed in the Ekamai area (very nice) and had a nice modern flat for 17k baht a month. Go outside of Bangkok and your costs of living are even lower.
Cambodia was very cheap too but the quality of living and women is lower than Thailand. Sihanoukville was great, you can live the careless beach lifestyle there for very cheap, i spent about $800 a month, give or take.
Overall i think SEA is your best bet when it comes to cost, women, partying and travelling around. But thats just my opinion. I'm in the process of moving to EE (Poland) but in writing this i'm really starting to question my decision and thinking of booking a one way ticket to Bangkok, in fact, fuck it, i'm going to book one right now.

Can't afford the internet cafe to tell us where you went?
