IMO her insisting on a spot is a red flag. She's most likely going nowhere. Don't waste your time.

Text her back with some excuse about why you need to meet where you are. If she balks, cancel.

One one girl texted me to meet closer to her subway, right before the date. I cancelled (and got the notch elsewhere that night).

That's not ego, it's logistics.

It's all your fault! You were't charming, engaging, entertaining and funny.

Thanks so much for this sage wisdom, sir.

C'mon, the date would probably finish the same no matter what the location was.

I read time ago, do not invite girls to coffee because it is what friends do. Sorry, but I realized is as good as any other. It could be cheap than a bar or other type of venue and good when having multiple dates in the afternoon. In addition, as somebody else said it lowers her shields.

Same logistics, choose a coffee close to my place, and sit next each other where can start kino, etc.

Don't understand why girls agree to meet when it is obvious they don't want to.

Yes it does. I told a story somewhat similar but not as bitch a few months ago. Girl drove 90 minute each way to not have a conversation.

I've dated enough girls by now, that when one tries to control the frame of the location of the first date and she won't agree to my terms, it's not happening.

Everytime, and I mean every damn time, I have ever 'bended' to her suggestion on a date after I first gave my own. That is, she didn't like my idea and made a counter offer for venues, etc, it's been a waste of time and money and usually not even a second date. Never a bang.

Fuck that. My moniker is 'my frame or the highway'

I've even texted girls who have tried to change date plans something like, "It's the woman's job to look pretty and show up, it's the man's job to make the plans" I may through in an "lol" to take the edge off. It's worked a few times in resetting the frame.

Life is so much easier and enjoyable when you're dating women who are open or eager to see you, give you their number when you ask and are enthusiastic or at least compliant in accepting your invitation.
