Yeah thanks for keeping me awake half the night with that one. At least now I'll never forget the meaning of "chingame". But seriously that girl was a stunner, looked like a porn fantasy version of Pocahontas.

One day adventure in Madrid.

My Instagram game beliefs were once more reinforced today in Madrid.

After tiering 12 hours flight from Lima I landed in Madrid. I had a 13 hour layover so I left my luggage in a luggage storage and headed to the city center to explore. Made a photo and posted a story showing that I am in Madrid. Few minutes later a girl I banged few months ago in Bogota messaged me that she was in Madrid.

She works as an event organiser and was working/partying all night and said she was going to sleep. I needed some rest after my long flight. To my question where is she going to sleep she answered "your hotel"

So I booked a hotel and we banged and slept together for half of my day in Madrid.

Madrid in spring is a very pretty city. I enjoyed the european vibe after five months in South America.

A productive day. Last of the few days of freedom. Makes everything seem more pleasant. I am glad I got a bang cause I am going to spend my next week in company of men and machinery.

Crazy last few days.

In two days I visited Madrid, Budapest and Amsterdam.

I was in Budapest for couple of hours only, all during night hours. Wednesday night. Of course I used this opportunity to venture our and get a scope of nightgame. I went to Szimplia Kert and Bacardi open Bar. Both were utter sausage fests with 3 guys on 1 girl ratio. And neither had anything HB7+ present.

I don't want to be negative, I have heard very good things from fellow RVFers I trust, but my first impression makes me never want to come back. Budapest is one of those places who people either hate or love. I will have to come back for at least one day to see it during the day to form my final opinion.

In Amsterdam I was roamed around for few hours, did a bit of daygame mostly on foreign chicks. Was really lucky with weather.
Dutch girls are often very cute, but they are manly. They move like a man, talk like a man and I guess think like a man. So I don't feel normal male to female dynamics with them. Also it does not help that they are genetically big and thus more masculine. Bad reality check after SA.

Well good news for everyone. Tell your friends there is no need to hide their wives and daughters anymore.

Ha, interesting that you disliked BP. I'm pretty sure with more time on your hands, you would've loved it. The good nightgame options are the higher end clubs around the parliament, don't go to the tourist traps that are Szimpla and the sorts. Daygame should be really decent there as well, as it is a decently spread out city. Also not quite as overrun with sausages as Prague is.

How does the rest of your travel schedule look like?

2 years ago it was definitely better than Prague. But when I was there over Easter (could have been an anomaly because of holiday), I actually saw far more stag parties and general stupidity than Prg.

At least in Buda you can kind of escape from it at the locals clubs. Harder to do in Prague.

Offshore oil and gas was always my regular job. And yes I did quit the permanent 6 weeks on 6 weeks off employment I had.

I have travelled for half a year and I had a budget to carry on for 7 or more months, but I got this job offer and decided to take it. It is temporary, 4 weeks only, and will give me extra half year or more. So after I am done with it I can take another complete year off, if I want to...

So my sabbatical is technically not over, I just took a short strategic break.

If I would not take this break I would find myself in a position when I have no money and no work, during winter time (very bad time for finding work in my field). Thanks to this extra month of work I will feel chill and secure. And my next year off would end at summer, which is a time when I normally get multiple offers from my previous employers.

Another issue I am addressing with this short employment is something I was never aware of before. Trust me or not, but you get tired of resting. My largest vacation before this one was 2 months. So this time I quickly found out that after long period of rest you:
1. Stop enjoying things as much.
2. Get lazier.
3. Get less sharp.

Since your work is not pushing you to solve problems on daily basis, you will have to push yourself. Otherwise you degrade. I fixed this issue with starting a blog and a coaching project, which is a work in itself.

Eating good food and fucking hot girls every day becomes a normality. Good south american weather no longer feels like something special. Beer does not taste as good. Life looses colour.

Everything in this life is understood in comparison. You need downs to enjoy your ups. That is why I will keep going back to work once in a while just to maintain my ability to appreciate things. Also extra income will keep me less stressed about my coaching business and keep low prices.

Everytime I am off work and enjoying "loose women and cheap rum" I am happy with my career choice. Every time I am back offshore I am miserable. Working 12 hours a day without fun and vagina for 4-6 weeks at a time. These are two extremes and my life thus is like mood swings. It works for me, but I don't see everyone doing this.

Going back to offshore is like post vacation depression times 10. Cause you give up all your pleasures and even some of your needs, cold turkey.

This is why I am trying to break the cycle by doing baby steps in online business, coaching and blogging. It has been going pretty well. I had few months when I made more than I spent, but it is kind of seasonal and depends on a location where I am travelling to.

What definitely helps with this type of job is that once you have expertise it is with you for the rest of your life. I can be totally broke, dirty and penniless in the middle of some shit hole 3rd world country and my employer will fly me out to offshore. While this might not be the best possible contract, but after I will work for couple of weeks I will return to society, clean, healthy and with money in the bank. This gives me a great sense of security.

I think we all need periods of time when you are depraved of some pleasures of life. To shake things up and to start appreciating everything more.

^That's how I like to look at it too Vinny, having the skills, experience and be willing to work offshore or in the bush is a great back up plan. Its a pretty good lifestyle for a guy in his 20s but the time will come when you get tired of it and want a normal life and to sleep in your own bed every night, I'm going through that now.

Here are some reasons:

At the moment oil and gas prices are low so my rate is more closer to 6 months off after a month of work.

You are not allowed to work more than couple of months, there are some regulations and rules on that subject.

Within this 3 years spent offshore hypothetically: I would go crazy, lose whatever social skills I have, forget how pussy looks like, get depressed and jump overboard.

Not to offend you, but I am guessing you have never worked 12 hours everyday (Saturday, Sunday included) for couple of months at a time at a very mentally and physically demanding job. The only reason trips are 2 weeks or 4 weeks is because people just can't last much longer.

So I would rather do 1 month on 6-9 months off and keep my sanity, while having a nice lifestyle. When oil prices go up and the wages are high again I will get on working month off month on and save 70-80% of my income. Invest in real estate and retire at 35.

Vinny I have worked 6 or 7 weeks one time for 12 hours a day straight in a job with moderate physical demands but not an extreme physical job and not for 3+ months. And by the end of the 6 or 7 weeks I felt like shit. It was only one time in my life and it was horrible.

You have a good plan but the part I worry about is waiting for high oil prices. Given the incremental advances in alternative energy and the massive glut of oil and shale supply and cheap gas, I am not sure if/when we will see $100+ per barrel again. $80 U.S. per barrel is possible but I don't think it will be sustained, it may just be a temporary price spike that lasts for a few months.

I had the same attitude a bit more than a year ago. No Instagram, 1 photo on the facebook.

The times have changed IG user base is growing 100 million per year and soon enough everyone with a smartphone will have it. So calling all of them retarded and ADD is an exaggeration. Some are most are not.
For the long term relationship a girl with heavy use of social media is a red flag. If you are looking for a short term thing not more than a month or two regular it is absolutely no problem. It even simplifies the process when you revisit the country. Girl who follow you on IG closely stay warm and ready to be banged once reunited.
