I've been accused of sending dick pics to an Airbnb host

All I've ever verified on airbnb is a phone number and a couple email address.

I do wonder if someone hacked your WhatsApp account or if someone was pretending to be you.

This really sucks. It's these kind of false accusations that many men are victims of. You don't serve any jail time, of course. You do lose access to a resource that has been very useful though.

All you can do is create a new account and start over.

Fuck airbnb. I hate having to explain myself to jack offs as to why I want to use their rental.

Go to http://www.vrbo.com . Much better, less bullshit, and better options.

They really aren't all that different - they're both run by the globohomo elites in San Fran/Silicon Valley. There was a case a while back of an AirBnB host getting banned after saying something rude to an Asian guest (one who tried to lie about her plans to leave her pet unattended in the rental). Anyway long story short, the Asian girl whooped up the "I'm so offended!" chant after the host said something like "this is why we got Trump elected" (which was pretty stupid, for chrissakes).

Result was once the story went viral and VBRO found out, that host was banned from that platform too - not to mention almost getting fired from her regular job. There is no due process, sense of justice or fairness in the minds of that crowd - they flat out admit they think their votes in California and New York should count more than yours in flyover country, so I'm not surprised.

I used to know someone who worked over at AirBnB but the second she found out I was a Trump aficionado, she stopped responding to the rare occasion I would contact her. She's in her late 30s, good looking (haven't actually seen her in years, so maybe not anymore), a bay area native and all about her career. No kids, not married, and destined to either become a retard factory for whatever beta she can land with her saggy small tits at this point, or just be a spinster for another decade or three before "discovering" she's a lesbian and settling in with some other cat lady.

I once thought AirBnB was a great innovation as a traveling tenant, but as a property owner I had to reconsider. They actively encourage people to ruin nearby property values with constant streams of short term rentals. Nobody in suburbia wants their neighbor to start running a rooming house; ditto for expensive condos in the city. Now, whenever I catch somebody doing that in my building I report them to the management. Regardless, AirBnB keeps doing their thing, seemingly unaffected by being an accessory to breaking zoning laws and hotel regulations.

I think one day they will get their overdue comeuppance. Fuck 'em - find a legit short term business apartment or a cheap hotel.

This thread reminds me a bit of Kafka's "The Trial." The protagonist is put through an absurdly byzantine and opaque process of prosecution, yet we retain a lingering sense that he might be guilty after all.

Orson Wells made it into one of the most alienating movies ever made. Unfortunately, this disturbing view of the future now resembles our modern socialistic society.

So Airbnb is socialistic now and not a capitalism company that's all about making as much money as possible? A company, that doesn't care about destroying the renting prices / spaces in big cities for the locals, using their monopol and giving a fuck about what's right or wrong, because they have the monopol/money/power/enough users?

Or did you go a little offtopic and it wasn't about Airbnb at all?

When a society becomes socialistic, this socialism leaches into every sphere of life beginning with the government, then the university systems, and eventually into the large corporations. The compulsions of sociopaths who seek to control human thought and behavior drives them to seek power in these large organizations, where they can effect the most change and control. Once these sociopaths obtain power (whether in the government, education, or corporate spheres), they slowly change the sole goal of these organizations from their prime objective (governing, teaching, and producing a profit for their stockholders) to various social justice causes.

These secondary goals often eventually become subservient to the traditional primary goals, resulting in organizations that bear little resemblance to the traditional model. Here is a perfect example: California's pension investment fund, the largest in the U.S., is growing insolvent with its social justice investments, because it would rather effect social change than adhere to its primary goal of maximizing retirement income for its retirees --

The nation’s largest pension fund is edging closer to financial disaster by investing in progressive-oriented companies instead of more-profitable ones according to a new report from the American Council for Capital Formation.

San Francisco is a major hub of such socialism in the U.S., which is where AirBNB is based. AirBNB committed to the socialist model with its non-discrimination model, which "applies to everyone who uses Airbnb around the world." So, a myopic corporation in San Francisco, with San Francisco social values, decides to create a non-discrimination policy that applies worldwide -- even in places where some types of discrimination (once known as "common sense") might be warranted to preserve your life or your health. Such mindless hubris is the very apex of degenerate hyper-paternalism.
