Just finished a recent trip to Spain and actually found Madrid to be the best city for me for game. This surprised me as I wasn't expecting this going in but some things that I liked about Madrid included:
1. It also has a large outdoor seating for cafes and restaurants that make it easy to approach girls that are eating alone or are a pair of girls. But of course, you can also do this just as easily in indoor restaurants and cafes as well.
2. It also has several other spots that are great for Daygame. Puerta del Sol has a number of places where you can approach women whether it be in stores, on the streets or different stopping points. Another great spot is all around El Retiro Park. The gardens itself offers opportunities to meet girls but also a nice place to take a date in the evening. There is also a botanical garden next to it and they have a Prado museum that gets a large amount of traffic of tourists to approach as well. IMO, Madrid may be the best city in Spain for daygame because it gets so many tourists and is the biggest city in Spain. The only downside is they do have a lot of people soliciting people on the street (selling the weeds people, African migrants begging for money or selling some trinkets, women selling themselves, etc.) so you need to make a point to distinguish yourself when approaching.
3. Daygame doesn't stop in the nighttime. You can keep on approaching girls. I would come off a date that ended around midnight and be able to keep approaching girls. But again you will get better results from the tourists than Spanish girls. I found it a far better investment to focus on the tourists and skip the Spanish girls.
4. For dates, I found the tapas bars to be a good place for the first date or drinks of the evening. There are dozens of different tapas bars but two that I particularly liked were:
a. Los Gatos- this is just kind of interesting because it has a lot of crazy stuff on the walls which makes for easy conversation with your date. Also, nearby is the Jazz Bar which makes for a good bounce spot as you have Jazz and a lot of rounded booth seating to make it easier to get close to your date.
b. Tribuetxe- this places isn't for tourists as it is a local's bar but it makes for a great environment to bring a date to. They also have some nearby cement parks for making out and escalating nearby.
5. You can also take dates to many of the outdoor seated restaurants. These are all over the city but especially near Puerta del Sol and another popular spot is near the Royal Palace as you can eat and then walk around afterwards in these open areas.
6. I spent most of my time daygaming and so did not find myself needing to do much approaching in bars. The one time I did which was some place someone recommended here, I found it tougher than daygame as the women there were getting approached by more drunk men including Spaniards. IMO, it is so much easier to approach during the day when the bitch shields are down. My advice is get your dates with daygame and then use the bars and clubs if you must as a part of your date plans.

Also, one other place I forgot to mention that is good for dates and I suspect pickup as well is the San Miguel Market. I was there on a Saturday evening and it was full of women either in the market or walking by it. A good place to take a date but I also noticed a lot of IOIs in that evening from women. Of course, Spanish women tend to stare more but it was more pronounced this evening. I imagine this place may also be good for daygame too since these boquerias tend to be pretty good spots in other cities. Maybe others can share their insights. This is also nearby the Plaza Mayor which is another great place to walk a date to.

You seem extremely positive about Madrid.

I spent a day in Madrid when I visit Granada a few weeks ago. I was impressed with how friendly girls were. So much so that I would like to visit Madrid next time in the spring or fall only. The weather was very pleasant and no low on tourist.
