There is nothing to cheer about Mugabe's resignation. One of the last bastions where LGBTQ lobby was powerless fell today.
Mugabe took what was the most prosperous nation on the continent of Africa and turned it into the rest of Africa, he should be hung in the town square.
Then he will be a good commie, i.e. a dead one.
But that wasn't real socialism.

BBC: Ousting of 3 decade dictator we never criticised over tyranny we never covered leads to inexplicable jubilation of locals.
"Carnival atmosphere on the streets" they say. Not even the merest hint of why that might be.
They've given that prick a fellow-traveller pass for 37 years paying mere lip service to the fuckfest that's been going on there. Now they have the shameless audacity to simply waltz on over and join in the jubilation as if they'd been boxing for "change" this entire time.
It makes me fucking sick.

@Adonis
Like we did with Gaddafi, Saddam, Mubarak, et al. and fucked up the entire European continent while doing so because they were "radical commies and dictators." If you think that anyone succeeding Mugabe will be better than him then you are quite naive. Brace yourself for a new wave of political, aka economic, migrants, this time from Zimbabwe.

Much has been written about the steep decline of Zimbabwe that began in about 1996/1997. That amounts to two decades of collapse.
Simply what has happened in Zimbabwe & might soon happen in South Africa is this - a liberation movement came into power, defeating white minority rule. Due to this achievement, the black majority showed unquestioning loyalty to the ruling party, and effectively gave them a blank cheque, without actually realising the dire peril that would soon follow. The ruling party made all sorts of promises and blinded the naive population with visions of prosperity delivered by Black leaders. The problem is that years of being absolutely on the periphery of the mainstream economy, meant that the Black population did not understand how an economy works, and commerce in general. All they understood is that they are destined to be labourers of some or other description. Meanwhile a small part of the Black population (those in the ruling party and their associates) were part of the Black elite and in fact they could care less about the prosperity of their fellow citizens. Their core concern was to earn a 'liberation dividend', a payoff for being associated with the liberation movement. Meanwhile the world was moving fast and there was a real need that Zimbabwe become a modern State and player in the world economy. However in order to do that, most African nations are compelled to give away a part of their sovereignty, to international financial institutions and foreign nations that would invest in them. The Africans in Africa have repeatedly proven that they cannot build modern, prosperous economies on their own. It is a combination of a lack of will, and a lack of skill. At the same time Mugabe was facing domestic demand from the Black population for a transformation of their living conditions and a change of the racially determined hierarchy which was a legacy of the colonial era. Transfer of land to Blacks became the biggest issue, and eventually Mugabe realised that he would never be able to deliver on the promises that had been made to the Black population. Especially with an economy in trouble and with mounting debt. Under this pressure, he took the easy way out, attempting to placate a restless population through the land grabs. At the same time he became a dictator and gutted constitutional rule. The rest is history - economic collapse, political repression, stolen elections, assassinations, White flight, hyperinflation etc.
Now ironically, the legacy of Mugabe is that Zimbabwe will have to become a de facto colony of some or other nation (China probably) in order to recover. No nation will invest the billions that Zimbabwe needs without it having to relinquish most or almost all of its sovereignty.
