This story is from Phoenix and has been blowing up.

Del Taco is a SoCal and southwest chain.

If you've been anywhere near the service sector, you know how the manager feels.

Basic story is 2 dumb ass customers are crying about their hot sauce.

He comes back and says what many employees would love to say to a customers face.

The whole interaction is hilarious at the stupidity of both sides.

In the end, the owner aka father, fired the son.

Interesting table talk at dinner I bet.

I don't care how he treated these individual customers, but it's a little careless, because he is a sitting duck in that drive-thru window. People have waited around to fuck somebody up or come back for much less.

This line alone made it clear that this manager is an entitled brat. He tries to lord it over the customers that his dad is the owner, that it will be a cash cow for him in the future as the son, etc...

Also, the manager doesn't deny that they came back to buy additional food (which is actually good faith on the part of the customer). It sounds like the customers may have been a bit bitchy to the employee of the manager or the manager himself, but seeing as they bought additional food while lodging their complaint, this manager is an entitled brat or an idiot, or both.

You could call it a crappier version of Taco Bell. They have a 1 lb burrito that looks like someone mixed everything in the fridge together, mashed it a blender, and then crammed it into a large flappy tortilla.

I see no evidence that the customers were in anyway at fault. Sure, they may have been on their best behavior only after they started recording the video, but they come off as very reasonable from what I'm seeing.

Making reasonable and accurate statements, they remain in control and leave once they've made their point.

I think the customer service representative is the problem here.

Del Taco is a slightly better version of Taco Bell but I only get a couple things from there.

To me Del Taco is 10 times better than Taco Bell. I will not eat Taco Bell anymore after getting food poisoning twice from eating there. One of those two times I felt like I was going to die, it was brutal. Since then I never go to Taco Bell and Del Taco is my go to spot. I've never got sick from Del Taco despite eating there hundreds of times.

Del Taco has better quality ingredients when compared to Taco Bell. Of course both are shit compared to Chipotle.

Baja Fresh is alright, if I ever do fast food it's In and Out or Del Taco.

Baja Fresh is OK though, pretty decent fish tacos for a chain. I've actually never been to a Taco Bell, always had much better options around with authentic taquerias. The few times I've tried it was when workmates brought food in on late night coding sessions, it reminded me of mexican food day at my high school cafeteria...

Taco Bell is struggling in Northern California from the competition, they went out of business in San Francisco, then reopened with a totally different upscale concept with beer and wine:

A neighbor of mine is a C level exec at Del Taco. About 7-8 years ago I told him that they should have a salsa bar instead of just the packets. A couple years later they started putting in salsa bars in most of the DT stores.
