A few days ago, when I needed an in-depth answer to a question, I contacted NASA Test Pilot. Of course he came back with a very comprehensive response. I offered compensation because it was well worth it. He instead suggested I sponsor several members to gold membership which I did. You should blame NTP, it was his idea

Also, RVF is always the first place I look when I have questions. More often than not and to my surprise, I find the answers right here. Its quite an amazing resource. It deserves the support.

I'm also impressed with the accuracy of NASA Test Pilot's contributions, and admire the depth of his knowledge on many issues (macro or micro economics, Latin-American geopolitics, sailing...); also I'm grateful to him for his willingness to answer questions by PM, always giving detailed, true and sophisticated answers.

So now, I'm doubly grateful to NASA Test Pilot! And also of course, very grateful to Oneeyedjack himself: thanks man, much appreciated!!

This is awesome. I can't speak for Tokyo Joe and OEJ, but once you start trying to assign the budget to names, you realize just how many guys have been contributing hours of their time each year since 2008. RVF is arguably the best resource available for pretty much anything a man may need information on in order to make better life decisions. How do you put a price on that?

I had been planning to do something to give back to the community to celebrate officially being here on the forum for a full year, and Tokyo Joe's generosity was particularly inspiring.

I think it also encourages members to keep sharing their wisdom. I hope you all know it doesn't go unnoticed. Thanks to everyone who puts so much thought and effort into their posts.

By the way- There's more of you on my list- I'll get to the ones that I left out soon enough... Unless someone else gets there first!

As I mentioned to you before we did this; it will help our community of men knowing that people are working (together) behind the scenes, as well as being examples, that will make the Forum a better place. Look at the comments, it is already happening! It is bring the best out in us.
