I don't think hitting the gym is very relevant. Losing weight is more important. No girls sees a skinny guy (especially if he is tall ) as offputting unless he is really too skinny.

I have ran thousands of kilometers.
I have marched thousands of kilometers.
I have lifted thousands of kilograms.
I have lifted myself for thousands times.
I have punched people thousands times.
I have been punched thousands times.

Accept my faults and learn to live with them

Not being in my head all the time, cut the shitty thoughts out

Start doing something that I actually like, instead of being someones clown - that involved choosing school / work that was really relevant to what i wanted to do, instead of doing what others wanted me to do. For me it was doing something creative, but it took me a long fucking ass time to find this out.

Going to the gym regularly

Growing a beard

Being consistent in what i enjoy, not slacking on the important things in life.

I'm sorry but you are wrong. Hitting the gym is very important. You look better and you feel better. Plus the perception of the guy with the muscles is much more positive.

Of course losing weight is the first step - But closely followed by the gym.

Gym and losing weight - we should do it for yourself not woman's

Got into fitness and fashion. Then listened to the Black Phillip show over and over for about two years while wiring myself to expect and embrace the most brutal form of rejection possible every time I approached. When it didn't happen, my confidence grew and I become addicted to that growth

If a guy who is a 5/10 approaches 1,000 girls who are 8/10, the guy is likely to get 1,000 rejections. I believe there is another thread where a guy details his 1,000 approaches with the end result being no numbers, no dates and no bangs. I appreciate a lot of you guys are American, and I love that positive "can do" American attitude, but I think becoming an approach machine is the wrong step. What you need is an honest assessment of your SMV, ideally from a guy who won't sugar coat (most girls are too nice to tell you the truth) to give you a good idea of where you stand. Once you have an idea of where you rank you can begin the process of improving yourself. It really shouldn't take longer than 1 year to get into shape, improve your style and take care of your logistics. The risk you run with doing a lot of approaches before the self improvement stage is that the constant rejections can mess with yout self-esteem and make you incredibly bitter and angry.

I lost some weight while first starting going to the Gym. I was 181 pounds (5'11, I know you would say it is not overweight but if you have no muscles, 180 pounds is a lot of fat). At that time I did not get ANY IOI's, even when I went to a store to buy clothes, the female workers were aggressive / unpolite to me (I did not ever try to game them, just buy clothes). I was invisible, but since the process of gaining weight / loosing shape was very gradual for me, I did not even noticed it.

Then I started at the gym; initially lost 45 pounds; went down to 136 pounds (extreme skinny). I do not think I looked well at that weight, but even so I noticed IOI's the first time in at least 10 years: women would look at me when passing by; at the gym girls would stretch in from of me in really weird poses, or coincidentally use the machine near me even after I move around the place; female staff telling me how interesting a man I am, etc; women at bars introducing themselves; and the most prevalent: women bumping into me on the street; lets say, they got clumsy all suddenly because it never happened before.

Currently I am 157 pounds, gaining weight slowly, much leaner than before, and more confident.

Conclusion: most women are very superficial, more so than men; if you are fat, not matter how your face characteristics are, you are invisible; even more, not only invisible but women seems to hate you; wives / LTR girlfriends notice the IOI's of other women and treat you the better the more female attention you attract (the shit test get worse though). As a men you are playing game in hard mode by default, but if you are not in shape, you are playing super-hardcore mode.

If you do not have any medical impediment, go to the gym! Start today! It is funny, you are going to feel better, look better, probably live longer, be stronger, look stronger.

In an all natural process, after starting in the gym I am doing more masculine stuff, behaving more masculine, and improving many areas of my life that are not directly connected (at least in appearance).

Please go to the Gym now!
