IKEA is a good daygame spot

I don't want to start too many threads, but during the time I've been absent from the site I have been "thinking outside the box" on how to daygame in my suburban location.

I discovered when shopping for a few pieces to round out my place that IKEA seems like a really good place to daygame. I've been there twice in the past month, and I took a number each time I went. Both ended up ghosting on me eventually, but there was so little effort involved that I could probably take several each time I went if I hit it up at the appropriate times.

Here are the advantages: if a young woman is there by herself, you can almost guarantee that she's single, or likely at least doesn't currently have a serious live-in boyfriend or husband. No young American woman who did would suffer the indignity of shopping for household items and furniture while her SO fucked off.

The place is popular with 20-something college women. That's even the joke about IKEA - that it's furniture for college kids.

The place is huge. Even when it's fairly crowded, isolation is easy. It's not some little coffee shop where there are people right on top of you listening in to every line you say.

Endless topics for openers and amusing one-liners everywhere. Thinking up conversation starters to drop is trivially easy. "Haha, I bet most of these words don't even mean a THING, even in Swedish. What do you think?"

All IKEA stores have a cafeteria/cafe type thing. If an interaction goes well, well why don't we go grab something and talk there? Insta-date location right on the premises.

Thoughts? If I manage to actually get a lay from IKEA, I'll be very proud of myself. Hell, maybe one could even hook up right in the bedroom department. So it's really got everything you need.

I gotta try this.

I haven't noticed many solo girls when I've been there before except maybe a few fatties but I'd bet the odds would be pretty good.

My guess is that if there's any college population in the area, Sunday afternoon or night would be the time to hit it up.

Xpq, wouldn't college chicks be there with their parents?

I'm expecting more of the young professional crowd of 22-24 year olds.

Oh and as of last night I think I caught some cougar fever. I wonder if ikea carries sugar mamas.

Well, I use the term "college girls" pretty loosely. It's not uncommon to encounter women around here who are in their mid-to-late 20s who are still in school, often living nearby but off-campus. You can't drive 5 minutes around eastern New England without bumping into some little podunk liberal arts or community college.

It's not even that uncommon to talk to women who are in their 30s who are in grad school or working on their second degree or God knows what to avoid ever entering the real world.

Have you considered just making things easier on yourself and just going to a mall where there will be a concentrated amount of good looking girls to approach and more variety to choose from along with more opportunities to escalate. It will be much easier to venue switch at a mall because you can go from one store to another and get stuff at the food court, and many other activities at the mall. They also have a lot of Christmas trees and ice skating rings around the mall this time of the year they bring a good vibe and help with entertaining a girls short attention span.

I never thought about Ikea being an opportune spot for pickup. Will look into this since I'm about 20 blocks from an Ikea store. Think I'll use, "hey what do you think about this sofa against a green painted wall?" Then proceed from there.

This isn't surprising given that every time I pass by a furniture store I mostly see female customers in there. Good call. Women do love furniture though. I'll take a look at the Ikea near me and report results.

I'm glad you mentioned it. I cringe when I see dudes "lol". For some reason I feel "lol"'s should be the purview of pre-teen girls.

Yes. She's been trolling a little while now. I'm surprised by the 4 reps. A fellow local tribe member pointed her out. Anyone else notice the patterns?

I hated ikea the first time i went too. PT, I was right there with ya. But after getting my bearings a little with my superior sense of masculine direction I can see the appeal.

I'd forego the food, which I suspect is overpriced and overswedish (I could be wrong) but I can totally see it as a quality gaming venue.

[Rant]Fuck that place all together. Since everyone and their mother always calls me to assemble that balsa wood garbage. On top of that you only need to see the customers that buy it, poor college kids, hipsters, and spinsters, to know it will never be anything worth having.

I don't need food when I go furniture shopping, I get food when I shop for groceries. Besides, the grocery store has been and always will be top venue if you are gaming.
