I second the "Cool, calm and collected." And "Fuck it"

But the two I always say are "adapt, improvise, and overcome." And "harden the fuck up"

Also the line from The Gambler really hit deep and I find myself thinking it more and more. "Come from a position of fuck you."

"Imagine that it's your private birthday party - wherever you are in life. It's your birthday, and the people that you come into contact with are at YOUR private birthday event."

Credit to PUA Derek Cajun for that one.

This "manta" usually works best before going out, socializing or just living life in general. I now literally repeat it to myself every single day. This works really well for meeting new girls. Imagine it's your fucking private birthday party wherever you are.

I need your personal mantras

I am now for some time in a easy going environment. That´s why I don´t have bad ass and kick ass mantras anymore. But still to keep it going I have some:

Watch and wait. Specially in the habit creation phase it is extremely important not to do more than baby steps. This mantras helps to stop additional actions which may cost to much energy and destroy the habit. One of the example regarding women is take your time to learn cold reading.

Smile, breath and go slowly. It´s from the some Vietnamese guru through zenhabits. It keeps your expectation low, more grounded, happier in the moment. Specially good when you have to remind yourself to relax more and to smile more.

One of my newer mantras: Discipline, Declutter, Dokumentation. To remind myself of basic discipline and accountability.

Eye kontakt, smile. This is good to remind myself that what´s important for connecting with chicks and people.

Mantras imho work only when my emotions (I have some methods for that) are unlocked. Otherwise I almost don´t feel anything while thinking the mantras.

"What do I get out of this?"

This is so key to asserting yourself.

To quote Bang, regarding betas
: "His number one defining trait is a fear of going after what he desires. He doesn’t pursue what he wants because he doesn’t think he’s capable of getting it. He worries about other people’s needs before his own. He quietly accepts being disrespected."

Regarding alphas: "First and foremost, he does what he wants to do. He doesn’t concern himself with personal rejection or social failure. His needs, wants, and feelings come before anyone else’s. No one’s judgment, dirty looks, opinions, or laughter is going to stop him from getting what he wants. He doesn’t ask for permission."

Note: This does not mean be a sociopathic asshole. You can still give and be kind. However, only if YOU want to because it makes YOU feel good.

ABBA

Always be being approaching.

Too many missed opportunities where I'm thinking of something else while (for example) going to the news stand in the morning and passing a bubble butt going the same direction.

When I'm distracted:

"Think quickly."

Then I get back on the ball.

Writing a journal entry has a similar effect. You have to explain yourself to yourself, and have to make conclusions about what you are doing and why.

Something Mike Cernovich wrote, an acquaintance of his just said "mighty" when he needed to remind himself of his masculinity.

I like stanza 77 of the Havamal:
"Cattle die, kinsmen die,
You yourself will die,
but I know one thing,
which will never die:
the glory of the dead man."

I also find just saying words with strong sounds and imagery help, such as: Titan, hero, fight, crush, smite, peace (spoken like a command), fire, stone, etc.

Oh, and Proverbs 28:1: "The wicked flee, though none pursue, but the righteous are as bold as a lion."

Havamal 77

Cows die,
family die,
you will die the same way.
I know only one thing
that never dies:
the reputation of the one who's died.

I believe it can be done and i'm the one to do it.

Adam says to God, "God, why did you make women so soft ?"
God says, "So that you will like them."
Adam says to God, "God, why did you make women so warm and cuddly?"
God says, "So that you will like them."
Adam says to God, "But, God, why did you make them so stupid?"
God says, "So that they will like you"

I like the 'Paratrooper's prayer', whether you're religious or not (I am not) it has both a calming and girding effect, and tends towards mental clarity.

I'm asking You God, to give me what You have left.
Give me those things which others never ask of You.
I don't ask You for rest, or tranquility.
Not that of the spirit, the body, or the mind.
I don't ask You for wealth, or success, or even health.
All those things are asked of You so much Lord,
that you can't have any left to give.
Give me instead Lord what You have left.
Give me what others don't want.
I want uncertainty and doubt.
I want torment and battle.
And I ask that You give them to me now and forever Lord,
so I can be sure to always have them,
because I won't always have the strength to ask again.
But give me also the courage, the energy,
and the spirit to face them.
I ask You these things Lord,
because I can't ask them of myself.

Probably the already mentioned mantra from Shawshank Redemption, "Get busy livin' or get busy dyin'" I said it to my father and it really helped him after his divorce.

Also, is "Tebowing" still a thing? I find it helps if you have a mantra/prayer/saying that you keep in your mind. Before going out into the world, I sometimes do it just to remind yourself that whatever happens, you're actions and reactions are all on you.
