If you pay close attention, you'll see that the artists drew a lot of SIF angles and included closely cropped facial images.

Even they hate fat people.

What's the over/under on the issue number where we are introduced to her boyfriend/husband who is tall and buff, because 'real men like curves'?

Predictably, already done in the series she was introduced. SJW's are delusional…

Hey, I'm all for this. Women's craven need to have it all whilst expending no effort into earning it all just sets them up for a life of psych meds. You know where to invest.

Wow, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I look forward to this appearing on my social media so I can ask the obvious "So the man is tall and muscular yet she is fat. Body positivity for women only yes?", and then of course watch heads explode.

For those of us that grew up loving comic books, this is only the latest example of the decline of our once-beloved hobby as more and more SJW and butthurt PC millennials get their grubby hands on everything.

I was lucky enough to read stuff in the late 80s and early 90s which was arguably the peak of creativity in mainstream American comic books. I don't bother with very much anymore. I lost interest in super-hero comics quite a while back but I still read about the comics "news" and it's a sorry state.

One thing I find equally fascinating and repugnant is how the comics of 1980's toy properties are now being used as fodder for SJW bullshit.

I have every issue of the Marvel comics Transformers from my youth. I loved them...they're cherished childhood memories.

Now, Transformers deal with gender equality as female Transformers are introduced to their all-male society, and also Transformers are gay and have loving gay relationships. (Not to mention that anything with the prefix "trans" is ruined now.)

And hey...remember Jem? The rock star Barbie dolls for girls? Maybe your sister watched it or maybe, just maybe, you'd watch an episode after school when nobody was looking just out of curiosity.

Well, these were the "bad guys"...a girl rock band called The Misfits. (No Glenn Danzig, obviously.)

And here they are now! With Skrillex hair and an added black chick....and good fucking god, what did they do to the blue-haired chick? Why??

(oh PS....they're lesbians now. In a book aimed at pre-teen girls. Bet you didn't see that coming!)

Indeed they do, they made this girl hail from Milwaukee, WI...that is subtle fat trolling if I've ever seen it. There is one other famous fat cartoon character woman that hails from Wisconsin already...and their looks are very similar

These lines are so unnatural and cringeworthy that it pains me just to glance at them.

FupaGirl, FupaGirl,
Who honestly wanted FupaGirl?
Loves herself, at any size
Catches burgers, just like flies
Look out! Here comes the FupaGirl!

She's so heavy, she's so big,
Was she bitten by a radioactive pig?
She won't lose any weight,
Body-shaming is what she hates,
Hey there, there goes the FupaGirl!

In the chill of night,
She'll raid her fridge for a bite,
When she gets real bored
Bisexuality will be explored!

FupaGirl, FupaGirl,
Friendly neighborhood FupaGirl
Fruits and veggies, she's ignored
Donuts are her reward
To her, life is a great big buffet
Wherever there's a buffet
You'll find the FupaGirl!!!

Hell, even their hips are wide compared to their fat bellies. What about chics who are fat all the way through. The chics with 1:1 waist to hip ratios. These creators are true misogynists.

On the subject of comics sucking these days...

Frank Miller said today he wants to do a fourth Dark Knight sequel after the one that he only "co-wrote" comes out.

Good for him, right?

Nope, not according to modern comic fans...every comment I've read has been calling him a "misogynist old creepy asshole who sucks" and "even his old stuff sucks if you re-read it" and on and on. Pages of this shit.

Frank Miller is one of the top ten comic book creators of all time. That's a fact, not an opinion. I can't overstate the influence he's had on the industry. Like all those Batman movies that have made BILLIONS of dollars around the world? They'd never have existed without Miller.

"Oh but Sin City is just misogynistic and he dared to express his opinion that Occupy Wall Street were a bunch of fucking faggots, and he's published a book where Batman maims a bunch of Islamic terrorists as revenge for 9/11......so he's obviously a fucking dirty scumbag out of touch piece of shit."

Eh....they can all go to hell. At least I'll always have DKR, Daredevil: Born Again, Ronin, Elektra Lives Again, Sin City, and 300 to read over and over.

Man, if thats what they think of Frank Miller, they'd better not read anything by Garth Ennis

Nothing surprises me anymore.

Also note that her boyfriend is good-looking, ripped and muscular - why didn't they pair her with another fatso?

I hope they make a movie off it, so we can have a good laugh.

Why would men not take fat male superheroes seriously? Because regardless of superhuman strength, we would know from the first glance that this is no role model and top of his possible achievement. For the same reason do we not want to see a fat Navy Seal commander or Olympic athlete.

Instead that fat Superheroine just gets her powers, her ability to fly and that's it. Her long journey to herodom is complete. Never mind that she is at 20% of physical capacity and would have in reality trouble combating super-villains. That does not matter - what is important is that she can "just be herself" :

When a culture no longer celebrates virtue and beauty, it begs the question: does it deserve to survive?

Comic books have always been the domain of geeks and outcasts, but at their inception the geeks and outcasts pursued virtue. A couple of nerdy Jewish kids invented Superman - the ultimate immigrant, and the ultimate American; an alien who never truly fits in to the culture, and yet embodies all of the greatest things about it.

An aspirational character reflecting how they viewed themselves on the inside. Alien - Jewish and nerdy - but possessing of the same capacity for virtue as the Captain of the Football Team.

These days? The outcasts embrace their weirdness, not in the positive ways of geniuses like Tesla, but like the utter degenerates that they are.

Also: fat chicks with fit guys. I'm so sick of seeing this.

Also: Apple laptop.

Also: OP should turn his observations on the lack of aspirations amongst geek girls into a full-length RoK article.
