FupaGirl - The Body Positive Superheroine

Part of my suspicions about the rise of women in 'geek culture' was that there's an increasing number of Female Incels (Involuntary Celibates) needing escapist power fantasies, that was more traditionally the domain of powerless teenage boys.

Behold, Fupagirl Faith: the body positive superheroine, debuting from Valiant in January.

Press Release

Quote:Quote:

“Faith is one of the most unique characters in comics – a sci-fi loving, Firefly-quoting fangirl that wound up standing shoulder-to-shoulder alongside some of the most powerful superheroes on Earth, who, at the end of the day, might just prove herself to be the bravest of them all,” said Valiant Editor-in-Chief Warren Simons.

Of course. She can't just be a hero, she has to be the best, despite her lack of any traditionally-heroic quality.

I've mentioned before what I find fascinating about the Female Incel Power Fantasy is they seem to lack the ability to fantasise in an aspirational way which might make them want to better themselves. 'Batman' might make a kid want to lift weights, or TMNT might make a kid take up martial arts, but the Female Incel lacks any drive to improve or curiousity about other life experiences - I'd even go so far to say any true empathy for others - so all they're demanding from geek culture is to see themselves as the heroes.

Quote:Quote:

“Faith is an especially fun character for this sort of story because of how genre savvy she is,” writer Jody Houser told Comic Book Resources. “She didn’t fall into the ‘classic costumed life’ by accident. She made a deliberate attempt to model her life after the heroes she grew up with, not because that’s just how it’s done, but because she understands the benefit of having a normal life on the side. Wanting to do great things doesn’t mean she wants to be in the spotlight 24/7.”

Great, more fourth-wall breaking self-aware dialogue, so groundbreaking in 2015. Another WhedonDoll ready to snark quickly-outdated pop culture references.

Strange that she looks like a middle-aged woman there. Perhaps it's the fact they seem to have worked Mom Jeans into her costume design.

Think she'll get Rule 34'd any time soon? I dare someone to draw her fucking Mayor McCheese with a strapon whilst taking a bite out of his head at the same time.

I bet they all eat healthy because they don't want to get fat...which they think is really awesome to be, for some reason.

If they want a "body positive" comic-book superhero, they should bring back Herbie Popnecker, AKA The Fat Fury.

Quote:Quote:

Deriving some of his powers from genetics and some from magical lollipops from "the Unknown," Herbie can talk to animals and sometimes even inanimate objects (who all know him by name), fly at high enough speeds to quickly travel to other galaxies (by walking through the sky), become invisible, cast spells and summon spirits from other dimensions, quickly dispatch his enemies with apparent ease, and (once he got his own title) travel through time. Herbie is emotionless, terse, irresistible to women, consulted by world leaders, and more powerful than Satan.

The Comic Industry has been almost entirely-taken over by Cultural Marxists.

To them, what is ugly and against traditional values is what is beautiful and should be celebrated.

They have no objective critical standards. Good Art is simply what serves as Propaganda for the Narrative. Bad Art is that which doesn't.

This is how a walking simulator with a basic teen angst plot involving Lesbians gets Game Of The Year.

These three creators know they'll get Critical Approval and Personal Good Person Praise for writing this character.

This is why SJW is so consistently-godawful, because there's no true experience, just transparent, constant, desperate virtue-signalling for narcissistic supply.

I, for one, can't wait for the issue where Faith's Sassy Gay Friend to drive her to the abortion clinic.

Come on, even tentacle monsters have standards.
They might tell you otherwise and pretend to be all open and progressive minded, but who do they hang out with in the end?
Slim and fit, busty anime chicks.

Faith will have to spend her nights with her sidekicks Muffingirl and Dildorella.

Of course, they have big tits.

Bastards are fat body small tits haters. Revised below...

Hell, even their hips are wide compared to their fat bellies. What about chics who are fat all the way through. The chics with 1:1 waist to hip ratios. These creators are true misogynists.

It's all about the golden 1:1 ratio. Perfect shape. Boxes are people too.

I agree, they failed on making this fat chick...fat. She just looks like a thick girl girl that got pregnant. I mean literally she is a blonde pregnant kim kardashian

This will go as far as "chubzo Barbie," which I think was called Lamilly.

We see how those are flying off the shelves.

Marvel created a fat woman superhero before, Big Bertha

Quote:Quote:

When not using her powers, Ashley is a proverbial 'big fish in a small pond', being the most famous fashion model in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, her hometown. Although offers have come her way numerous times for more prospective opportunities, she has declined them all, choosing to stay in Milwaukee with the team she considers family.

Quote:Quote:

Big Bertha has the ability to make herself superhumanly strong and durable (to the point of being bulletproof) by becoming extraordinarily obese. She can also leap great distances and purge most fat from her body through vomiting to take on a slimmer appearance

This stuff might seem to exist in an alternative universe, but it's really starting to influence the mainstream.

One of the top entertainment stories today is that Ariana Grande had to defend herself after she was insulted on social media by someone who said something like "Curves are sexy, stick are not." They were comparing her to Ariel Winter, but it doesn't matter.

What matters is that Ariana Grande's body was the norm when I was a teenager. This kind of thought would not have even been on the table in the '80s, '90s or even early 2000s.

Yet another fuel for the stereotype "Geeks have no concept of self-control." Damn, sure I did grow up eating foods with HFCS throughout my teenage years yet I still change my diet and being consistent with it.

We will stand tall in the sunshine
With the truth upon our side
And if we have to go alone
We'll go alone with pride

For us, these conflicts can be resolved by appeal to the deeply ingrained higher principle embodied in the law, that individuals have the right (within defined limits) to choose how to live. But this Western notion of individualism and tolerance is by no means a conception in all cultures. - Theodore Dalrymple

Not to mention.
How viable is the fat 'geek-girl' comic market for Valiant?

Do fat geek-girls purchase that many paper based comics?
Wouldn't you need to tear them away from their Tumblr app. first...

Predictably, already done in the series she was introduced. SJW's are delusional.

Hey, I'm all for this. Women's craven need to have it all whilst expending no effort into earning it all just sets them up for a life of psych meds. You know where to invest.
