Bradley Cooper says he'll start sharing salary information with female co-stars

Since Cooper is wealthy and deeply-committed to the cause, I'd suggest a Change.org campaign for him to retroactively-reimburse the salary difference between him and his female co-stars.

I mean, he's genuinely-concerned enough about male privilege to willingly-share his own personal resources to make up for inequality, isn't he?

It's time to start calling out the bullshit of men who repeatedly-throw other men under the bus. If you're not with us, then prove it. All else is hot air.

Pay these women what you believe they deserve, Cooper. The power starts with you.

Bradley Cooper says he'll start sharing salary information with female co-stars

Why did Jennifer Lawrence get paid 80% as much as Bradley Cooper when she only had half the screen time, was in a supporting role, and has an average of twelve years fewer acting experience than all of the higher paid male coworkers?

Why does she feel fit to bitch when she made like 18 million more than Bradley Cooper this year? When the only actor in the world who earned more in total salary was Robert Downey Jr.?

If she agrees that men and women should be paid equally in Hollywood, is she going to make a good faith gesture on her supposed convictions and split the difference with her costar Chris Pratt in the movie "Passengers" (2016), where reportedly she's being paid 8 million dollars more?

Funny you should ask.

Just yesterday (Oct. 18), two columnists at Deadline.com looked at the dollars and screen time and are of the opinion that Lawrence was actually paid more than any of the other stars when you put it all together:

"While it’s refreshing to see Lawrence put herself out there for a worthy cause, I’m not sure that American Hustle is the movie to use as Exhibit A. Here’s why. Everybody on that particularly film worked for heavy discount to make the numbers work. By the time Lawrence was brought in by her Silver Linings Playbook director David O. Russell to round out that stellar cast, deals were done with other cast members. And then they were changed, as several others gave up back end pieces to make things more palatable to Lawrence, who worked a lot fewer days than most everybody else.

"I’m told that Lawrence worked 19 days and was paid $1.25 million and got $250,000 in deferred compensation. She also got seven points in a back end pool that kicked in after cash break zero.

Christian Bale worked 45 days for $2.5 million upfront and nine points; Bradley Cooper worked 46 days for $2.5 million and nine points. Amy Adams got $1.25 million and seven points for working 45 days, so if anyone has a beef, it would be her. I’m told that Bale and Cooper each gave a point from their back ends to bring Lawrence up. Russell also gave up some back end and so did Sony and financier Annapurna Pictures, to make the formula work."

Avengers Salaries Revealed

Quote:Quote:

Understandably the biggest star of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Robert Downey Jr, earned $40m for reprising his role of Tony Stark aka Iron Man for the fifth time on the big screen, while Johansson got $20m for her portrayal of Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow.

Chris Evans (Steve Rogers aka Captain America) was next in line earning much less than the previous two with $6.9m, while Jeremy Renner, not far off, walked away with $6.1m for his involvement as Clint Barton/Hawkeye. Thor actor Chris Hemsworth earned the second-lowest amount, $5.4m, leaving Mark Ruffalo in sixth position earning $2.8m, according to Celebrity Glory and Comic Book Movie.

So Scarlett Johansson gets $20M? I think she should have got around $5M! Does anybody go to watch the Avengers or get any merchandise because of her? How does she get more than the guys who play Captain America Thor, who have been in 2 films playing the lead?

I see somebody already referenced Ronda Rousey. Here's the clip. She pretty much addresses this stupidity.

She may have been knocked out by Holmes, but she knocks out this stupid feminist with her response.

I don't care about celebrities one way or another. Simply, as they enter my sphere, I observe behaviour and note things down in my head.

So, this is why I think Cooper is gay:

- Constant dodging of gay rumours, with the standard 'I'm flattered that they think I'm gay' plausible-deniable response

- Openly gay celebrities like Ryan Seacrest and Alan Cummings joking about his closeted status

- Feminine presentation and body language when out of character

- Crusading male feminist

- Previous relationships include notable 'beards' Jennifer Aniston, Renee Rewelliger and Jennifer Lopez

- Four month marriage

- Lack of 'heat' with female co-stars

- Any time I've watched a movie of his with a bang, the girls say he's 'cute, but obviously-gay'

- Pre-pubescent, Peter Pan body language. [Image: gay.gif] No straight adult male sits like this.

[Image: suki-waterhouse-kisses-bradley-cooper-at...don-02.jpg]

- Keeps the company of other famous men considered closeted with intimate body language in multiple photos

[Image: renee-zellweger-bradley-cooper-ryan-reynolds-21.jpg]

'Girlfriend' is on left. Note her complete physical disinterest in her 'alpha' boyfriend, as are most photos I see of them together. Note where the intimacy flows, particularly the touching of legs and arms.

Seems obvious enough to me. I've worked with a lot of gay men over the years, and they have a look I can only call Gayface. They project insecurity and weakness rather than masculine strength, and when emotions are involved, everything is artificially amped up and exaggerated, like they don't quite understand normal behaviour and facial cues.

Don't know whether he is gay and I don't care.

But given all the accounts we hear from Hollywood is that unless you are incredibly lucky or come from Hollywood aristocracy, you have to suck producer-dick. Does not matter even if you are gay or not - that's what it takes.

For women it's fucking and blowing her way to the top. The casting couch is not only a myth.

Of course - when you are forced to suck dick as a straight man, then it's clear that it will leave you damaged.

All those gay rumors about Hollywood actors are really overdone frankly - given enough Paparazzi time I could likely have a collection of pictures of notable PUAs who look gay at certain times.

I would not say that human sexuality is fluid, but I know men in my environment who make a gay impression, but have only had LTRs with women. It's probably as some gays report - they have a conscious choice on whether to be straight or gay. And they chose straight - sometimes even after having tried the gay lifestyle. Those men are often - not always - more feminine, but they are still straight.

You say you don't care about celebrities but you just gave a TMZ photo dissertation about your theory on Bradley Cooper's sexual orientation. I rather not debate something silly like this on a forum. I'm just pointing out it's a very tiring theme I see on this forum from users. Anytime a celebrity does anything against the grain here somebody throws out the gay card. It's a similar insult lexicon from a grade school student. I'm not going to comb through your evidence and debate because quite frankly that would make me quite gay and I just don't give a shit about body language theories on which male celebrates are gay. As Zelcorpion said "gay rumors about Hollywood actors are really overdone frankly"

Breitbart: H8ful Eight & Joy takings down

Quote:Quote:

What about trashing American Christians and exposing yourself as a spoiled, nasty, entitled Diva as opposed to the relatable every-girl that made you a star? Let’s see how that worked out for anti-Christian bigot Jennifer Lawrence.

In its third weekend of wide release, “Joy” (which is a terrific movie), after a $4.7 million take this weekend, will sit at just $47 million.

In 2013, “American Hustle,” which was also released in December, sat at a robust $88 million after three weeks in wide release. It would eventually go on to earn $150 million. Because of its release structure, there is no way to compare weekends with “Silver Linings Playbook,” which eventually grossed $132 million, but it is safe to say “Joy” probably won’t gross half as much.

Same stars (Lawrence, Robert DeNiro, Bradley Cooper).

Same director (David O. Russell).

Same release weekend.

Hollywood needs to understand that the Legacy Media can no longer protect its product from the assholery of it stars. New Media is now a dominant force in the American conversation, and Old Media can no longer bottleneck the truth in order to serve its corporate, left-wing masters.

In the old days, like ten years ago, a celebrity could pull off a two-fer: Suck up to the Motion Picture Academy by trashing Middle America while counting on the obedient mainstream media to ensure their bigoted and boorish behavior did not explode into a box office backlash.

If Mr. Whipple or Madge trashed 50% of the customers, you can be sure a lot less toilet paper and dishwashing soap would have been sold.

In a world of streaming, video games, and Blu-ray collections, why does Hollywood believe its product is so special they can still afford to have their Mr. Whipples insult and denigrate more than half of their customers?

Welcome to the Free Market, Tinseltown, where tolerance and inclusion are virtues.

And from Salon, of all places...

Not even populist princess Jennifer Lawrence could redeem the movie’s toxic brand of lone-wolf feminism

Quote:Quote:

Praised as a “story of loyalty, love and deeply-entrenched personal values,” David O. Russell’s rags-to-riches tale is certainly seductive, but in today’s climate of swelling consumer debt and income inequality, this neoliberal fairy tale can feel downright bogus. For the first time in many decades, middle-class Americans now comprise less than half the population, and in such a context, “Joy” seems less, well, joyous, than placating late-2015 anxieties and our polarized zeitgeist of Trump vs. Sanders. The same day Santa gifts goodies to the good, “Joy” creatively recasts our myth of meritocracy while masquerading as feminist fable, one grounded in the gritty pluck for which J-Law has long been lauded.

Bradley Cooper says he'll start sharing salary information with female co-stars

Yes, we all know Hollywood is a leftist echo chamber filled with degenerates, and ordinarily I wouldn't consider anything related to "entertainment news" to be particularly worth posting. But lately, actor Michael Caine has been speaking out against some of the same things we regularly discuss on our forum, so I thought this was worth a bump:

http://www.breitbart.com/big-hollywood/2...p-rubbish/

Quote:Quote:

Veteran actor Sir Michael Caine has weighed in on the so-called gender pay gap in Hollywood, explaining that the idea that female actresses earn less than their male counterparts for the same work is, in his view, “rubbish.”

“It’s rubbish. I worked with Elizabeth Taylor and she got 10 times more than I did — and that was over 30 years ago,” Caine said in an interview with the UK Mirror.

Caine starred alongside Taylor in Michael G. Hutton’s 1972 film X, Y and Zee.

“I don’t agree about the pay gap because she got a lot more money than me,” Caine added.

The two-time Oscar-winning actor’s comments come as a debate rages across Hollywood about sexism and unfair compensation practices in the entertainment business.

The conversation began in earnest in October 2015, when actress Jennifer Lawrence penned an essay entitled, “Why Do I Make Less Than My Male Co-Stars?”

In the essay, Lawrence — who earned more than $50 million last year — wrote that she had been paid far less than her A-list co-stars on the hit 2013 film American Hustle: “When the Sony hack happened and I found out how much less I was being paid than the lucky people with d*cks, I didn’t get mad at Sony. I got mad at myself,” Lawrence wrote.

The essay drew wide praise across Hollywood and media, and even earned commendation from Hillary Clinton.

In the months since, actresses including Emma Watson and Salma Hayek have called attention to the gender pay gap.

Actress Patricia Arquette used her Best Supporting Actress acceptance speech at the Oscars last year to call for gender pay parity.

“To every woman who gave birth to every taxpayer and citizen of this nation, we have fought for everybody’s equal rights. It is our time to have wage equality once and for all, and equal rights for women in the United States of America,” Arquette said.

Caine, 83, has made headlines in recent months for speaking freely on a number of controversial topics. In January, the actor said he supported Britain leaving the European Union, while later that month, he told supporters of the #OscarsSoWhite protest to “be patient” in their quest to earn an Academy Award.

In May, Caine told the Telegraph that today’s actors are only in it for the fame, and most “can’t really act.”

Compared to what most Americans earn, ALL actors (male and female) are being paid ridiculous amounts of money. Why is Jennifer Lawrence even bitching? Anyone who can make $50 million and still fucking complain needs to get their head examined. Besides, what's wrong with her co-stars making more? They've been in the business longer than she has! I mean, wouldn't it make sense for someone with more experience and whose name is more of a draw to make more money? I give up trying to find logic in the illogical libtard brain.

I have personally seen what he does and who he does at various clubs. His "closet gayness" is not so obvious to me.

Can't he be bi? I'm quite noob here - maybe you guys don't consider that a possibility.

An actors marketability is what affects the amount they are paid. People, both men and women just dont want to see a 'Ironwoman" "Batwomen" or fucking "Adriana Jones". Females in movies are not really that interesting unless they are sexualized. The thing that pisses me off about white knighting on the level of a famous actor is that people will listen, for some reason people think actors are smart or something, they are puppets who memorise and spit out lines and get all the limelight in the massive undertakings that make a movie possible from alot of people far more creative and intelligent than they could ever hope to be. Anyway its dickheads like Bradly Cooper who sympathise with women and fail their shit tests who got us into this whole mess in the first place.

The most surprising thing I learned in this thread is that Scarlett Johansen made $20mil from The Avengers. They could have replaced her with a cardboard cutout and I don't think anyone would have noticed.

I wish these weak men would wake up and realize the world is better off when pay is based on merit. Put crazy-ass Tom Cruise in a movie and you know people will go see it because of him, so it's justifiable to pay him the big bucks. Do you think you'd catch Tom fighting to have equal pay for a female co-star? Fuck no, crazy 'ol Tom knows how it works.
