Chrissie Hynde Criticized for saying 'You Have to Take Responsibility" and for simply suggesting it can be a woman's fault if she is raped.
Her ideas are in line with Roosh's. Any thoughts?

Smart lady.
Yeah, you can think however you like up until it contradicts the party line.
Sounds like good fodder for an ROK article - SJWs Harass Rape Victim Due To Her Views.

Here's a thought, this girl comes from an earlier generation of women who are known to be more feminine than their modern counterparts.
If you think about it, she was born in the 50's, and its safe to assume that her mother was between 17-23 when she was born. So if youbtake that in to account, she wouldve been raised on the generational values of someone from the late 30's to mid 40's. A time when woman HAD much more responsibility. Remember, these women were caretakers of the house and though that may not seem like much these days, back then, it was a big deal if hubby came home to a cold dinner and an unkempt house.
With that being said, it does not surprise me that she is a woman that takes responsibikity of her actions. People of those days didnt jump at the attention to letting everyone know they had been raped. Rarely, if ever, coning out about it to anyone other than immediate family.
I bet she sees the mentality of todays female youth and is speaking out because she knows, as well as all of us here, that it is absurd to blame men for every rape when so many cases are presented to be at more fault to the women. She lived the life of a sexy provocative young gjrl high on drugs and alcohol and guess what, she accepts the fact that she put her self in tha situation and can guaran-damn-tee ya she learned from it. Never did it again, never happened again.
Edit: Chrissy is one of my all time favourite female rockers and knowing this about her gives new meaning to her song ,"my city was gone." -- you know, where she goes back to ohio? Where my city was gone? Check it out. Im sure some of you non classic rock listeners have overheard it once before.

Chrissy has never been afraid to speak her mind. She is a cool chick and one of the few female musicians I would pay to see perform.

I've already got the best of the Pretenders on CD. I guess there's another band I need to add to my Must Listen list...

CH created her all male band bc she could not connect with other female musicians. When two of her talented band members died at an early age, it affected her quite a bit.
Some feminists in the media tried to portray CH as a woman leader other feminists could look up to as a role model -- and CH blew her top - and blasted back at them - telling the feminists they were fucking stupid and immature -- and had no idea what it takes to get a music group together.
If she tours again, I am going to be seeing her for sure.

Given the details, I don't think it was her fault or that she has to take full responsibility for what happened. If she went along with things because she was naive and didn't want to say no, that's different. But she said she was threatened with violence and forced. If her recount of the story is accurate, I don't blame her. I feel bad for her - for both what happened then and how she feels about it now.
Suggesting that women drink responsibly, stick with friends, or speak up when they are uncomfortable - all good advice and fine... but if someone sexually assaults you, that's on them. When someone is legitimately forced to perform sex acts, we can certainly look at the circumstances to see what measures could have been taken to avoid the situation, but it still isn't the victim's fault or excuse what took place.

The difference between her and most feminists is that she was actually raped. That and she actually accomplished something with her life. This is they they hate her.

Always loved the Pretenders.
I never knew she was talking about herself in Tattooed Love Boys. Wow.
That song was from 1979, 1980. I was very young and that song title seemed so odd to me then. Only real hard asses had tattoos back then. Felons, servicemen, dudes in biker gangs, gangbangers. That's about it. If a woman had a tattoo she was in the circus - so people could stare.
