I hate to add to this thread...but he will receive the Arthur Ashe Courage Award this year (part of the Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Award).

First winner of this award was Jim Valvano: coach for the 1983 NCAA championship team that won against long odds. He not so soon after that died of cancer. Also he started the V Foundation for Cancer Research. Note, he did not feel it necessary to do a lingerie spread in Vanity Fair.

This year it's Jenner, who is winning not because of his athletic skill or philanthropy, rather, because of a publicity stunt and a lingerie spread in Vanity Fair.

Speaking negatively about faggotry is what takes courage nowadays.

“….and we will win, and you will win, and we will keep on winning, and eventually you will say… we can’t take all of this winning, …please Mr. Trump …and I will say, NO, we will win, and we will keep on winning”.

I feel like our culture and this narrative of championing the degenerate has either officially jumped the shark, or getting close to it. One day soon, something will come out that will jump the shark, and the backlash is going to be fun to watch.

Guys, maybe I'm just in Alex Jones mode right now, but all of this stuff seems all too convenient. The more I read about this - the more it seems like Bruce did this as a one big giant fuck you to his ex wife and the Kardashian offspring.

Let's look at the evidence

The Timing: Kim Kardashian just announced her pregnancy, but because of Bruce's news, this announcement received very little fanfare. Now, the Kardashian family aren't the type to keep stuff like pregnancy on the low - they monetize every aspect of their lives - and all of that is possible because of the fanfare that surrounds it. Essentially Bruce just cost the Kardashians a lot of money, maybe millions. And who manages the Kardashian empire - his ex wife.

The Name: all of the women in the Kardashian clan have first names that start with the letter K. The most common spelling of Bruce's new name is with a K. By spelling his name with the letter C - it is a direct fuck you to the Kardashian family.

The Execution - Remember when Kim Kardashian said she would "break the internet" by showing her asshole in a two bit magazine nobody cared about? Remember how the whole thing was, well, underwhelming? Bruce Jenner is actually breaking the internet, you can't go anywhere without him being mentioned, and he managed to do it while wearing elegant clothes, and in VANITY FUCKING FAIR - a respected name in fashion. His issue of Vanity Fair will outsell anything that Kim or any other Kardashian has put out. Combined. Yes, I'm calling it.

The Age - Bruce is 65 years old. By 65 - it is not an age to be rediscovering oneself. 20's? Go ahead. 30's? Ok, you might have had a bad marriage, taken the red pill, etc. 40's? They call that a mid life crisis - but it happens. When you're in your 60s - you know who you are. That's why such a drastic declaration makes zero sense. BUT - on the flip side - he's old, he's accomplished everything he wanted, raised plenty of kids - and now in his twilight years he wants to spend it trolling people because he just straight up doesn't give a fuck anymore. It's like the phenomenon of corny "Dad Jokes" - they exist because dads shouldn't give a fuck about "looking cool". Bruce is old enough to not give a fuck about trolling people.

The Operation - Bruce is pre op. My prediction is that he will always be pre-op. I'm no medical expert, but I assume that 65 is not a good age to have that surgery. So he gets all the fame, attention and money just by putting on a dress and growing his hair.

The Praise - and this is my favorite part of this whole thing. Bruce is getting praise from everywhere. Barack Obama, the Arthur Ashe Courage Award, etc - next level praise. Contrast that to the Kardashians. Everyone knows they're lowbrow, that they're "America's guilty pleasure", are trashy and were only famous because of Ray J's dick. The Kardashians are famous for being famous - and Bruce is now eclipsing their fame by eons. And his fame is mostly been positive. Olympic hero turned transgender advocate. His ex wife couldn't even have imagined this.

The Past - have you watched any of the Kardashian shows? You had a Olympic hero being emasculated week in and week out, year in and year out. He had enough. Is there a term similar to "emasculated" but in a feminine way? Cause that's exactly what he did.

By becoming Caitlyn - without even needing the surgery - Bruce has become the Wayne Greatzky of trolling - his records will never be touched.

He changes back to a man in 5 years, and becomes a spokesman for Cialis.

Then makes a movie about it, like Joaquin Phoenix did about his fake "mental breakdown" in "I'm Still Here."

See, that's not an option because Caitlyn is attracted to women.....

Which means she's a lesbian.....

She has technically been a lesbian all her life because she is a woman who likes women while trapped in a man body.....

So even though she has always technically been a man, she has still always been a lesbian.....

Even when his penis penetrated his wife's vagina and they were technically committing a heterosexual act, they were actually both committing a lesbian act (unbeknownst to his wife at the time)......

Because she's a lesbian trapped in a heterosexual man's body.....

Well I'm not trying to upset anyone - but I don't really see what the big deal is. Transgenderism has been around since the beginning of history. Records indicate the Romans & Egyptians both had men who dressed like women (this has always been more common than the vice versa). Of course they didn't have the hormones back then or sex reassignment. It's found in every culture around the world, it's really nothing new, regardless of how bad the left wants to present it as this new amazing phenomenon.

Oddly enough, before the left/SJW's/Crusaders of Jack-dressing-up-like-Jill, transgenders/crossdressers/drag queens were basically portrayed strictly as vaudeville, which may have been a better way for the hivemind to deal with it. Look at a movie like the Birdcage for example, it did very well, #1 at the box office for weeks, with a plot centered around a drag show. The left in those days didn't even care to applaud it, today they wouldn't know how to react since it portrayed one of their most protected classes in a comical way. The majority of Hispanic humor if you watch Telemundo/Univision telenovelas, typically relies on a heavy stock of queer vaudeville in the form of a very effiminate stereotypically acting very feminine or men in drag.

By making such a big deal of it and trying to tell everyone this is normal, or to go even step further, that it's impressive and should be looked at with reverence, only makes them look irreversibly stupid in the end to anyone with any working grey matter. It's obviously not normal, but if an aging Bruce Jenner is happier as Caitlyn...does it really matter?

There's way too much right-wing rhetoric in the manosphere these days. Yes, this is a victory for the SJW's/SWPL's/left/democrats/Hillary followers. Those people are barely accountable, that shouldn't be forgotten.

Got to love Mike Huckabee:

"Now I wish that someone told me that when I was in high school that I could have felt like a woman when it came time to take showers in PE," Huckabee said.

"I'm pretty sure that I would have found my feminine side and said, 'Coach, I think I'd rather shower with the girls today.'

Huckabee wishes he could've identified as female in high school gym

Whether you're like me and non-judgmentally don't really know what to think of this whole mess, are all for it, or totally against it, transgenderism is weird. It's not normal. That's not to say it's wrong, just weird.

Being a man or woman attracted to the opposite sex is normal; being homosexual is weird. Being a man or woman wanting to be neither man nor women is way the fuck out there weird.

I'll cater to the trans-cis-homo- whatever crowd. Good bad or otherwise, for the last 50 years they've been tearing apart definitions, redefining, and removing 'barriers' and definitions, so I'll jump right in and dissolve gender delineations:

Make no mistake, a man or woman who changes gender is neither man nor woman.

You don't become a woman by feeling and behaving a certain way getting surgeries and undergoing hormone therapy. He's not a woman. She's not a man. And it's really fucking weird to want to mutilate and destroy a perfectly normal body to feel 'right' or 'normal' or whatever Bruce needs to feel.

I wish the best for Bruce. "How a man can feel anything but bewildered pity for the genuinely homosexual I've never been able to understand." (CS Lewis)

Why am I posting at all in this thread? Because a person taking his or her normal functioning male or female body (not talking about brain chemistry) and mutilating and manipulating it to feel more 'right' or 'normal' is weird.

How weird? Read the article below and you'll get a glimpse.

Becoming disabled by choice, not chance: ‘Transabled’ people feel like impostors in their fully working bodies

Quote:Quote:

OTTAWA — When he cut off his right arm with a “very sharp power tool,” a man who now calls himself One Hand Jason let everyone believe it was an accident.

But he had for months tried different means of cutting and crushing the limb that never quite felt like his own, training himself on first aid so he wouldn’t bleed to death, even practicing on animal parts sourced from a butcher.

“My goal was to get the job done with no hope of reconstruction or re-attachment, and I wanted some method that I could actually bring myself to do,” he told the body modification website ModBlog.

His goal was to become disabled.

People like Jason have been classified as ‘‘transabled’’ — feeling like imposters in their bodies, their arms and legs in full working order.

“We define transability as the desire or the need for a person identified as able-bodied by other people to transform his or her body to obtain a physical impairment,” says Alexandre Baril, a Quebec born academic who will present on “transability” at this week’s Congress of the Social Sciences and Humanities at the University of Ottawa.

Alexandre Baril, a Quebec born academic who will present on "transability" at this week's Congress of the Social Sciences and Humanities at the University of Ottawa. Baril himself is not transabled.
“The person could want to become deaf, blind, amputee, paraplegic. It’s a really, really strong desire.”

Researchers in Canada are trying to better understand how transabled people think and feel. Clive Baldwin, a Canada Research Chair in Narrative Studies who teaches social work at St. Thomas University in Fredericton, N.B., has interviewed 37 people worldwide who identify as transabled.

Most of them are men. About half are in Germany and Switzerland, but he knows of a few in Canada. Most crave an amputation or paralysis, though he has interviewed one person who wants his penis removed. Another wants to be blind.

Many people, like One Hand Jason, arrange “accidents” to help achieve the goal. One dropped an incredibly heavy concrete block on his legs — an attempt to injure himself so bad an amputation would be necessary. But doctors saved the leg. He limps, but it’s not the disability he wanted.

The transabled are very secretive and often keep their desires to themselves, Baldwin says. One 78-year-old man told Baldwin he’d lived with the secret for 60 years and never told his wife.

Some of his study participants do draw parallels to the experience many transgender people express of not feeling like they’re in the right body. Baldwin says this disorder is starting to be thought of as a neurological problem with the body’s mapping, rather than a mental illness.

“It’s a problem for individuals because it’s distressing. But lots of things are.” He suggests this is just another form of body diversity — like transgenderism — and amputation may help someone achieve similar goals as someone who, say, undergoes cosmetic surgery to look more like who they believe their ideal selves to be.

As the public begins to embrace people who identify as transgender, the trans people within the disability movement are also seeking their due, or at very least a bit of understanding in a public that cannot fathom why anyone would want to be anything other than healthy and mobile.

But this has been met with great resistance in both the disability activist community and in transgender circles, argues Baril, a visiting scholar of feminist, gender and sexuality studies at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut.

“They tend to see transabled people as dishonest people, people who try to steal resources from the community, people who would be disrespectful by denying or fetishizing or romanticizing disability reality,” Baril says, adding people in both transgender and disabled circles tend to make judgmental or prejudicial statements about transabled people. “Each try to distance themselves.”

Baril — who is himself disabled and transgender — believes the transgender community distances itself because it has worked very hard to de-pathologize what’s known as ‘gender dysphoria,’ and sought its removal from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.

Transability is also known as Body Integrity Identity Disorder, which was only just added to the “emerging measures and models” appendix section of the DSM-5 in 2013. Many transabled people want to see it fully added to the psychiatric bible because it might legitimize their experience in the field of medicine, Baril notes.

National Post

I'd go so far as to say mutilating and manipulating one's body to something neither man nor woman is even more disturbing than doing it for the purpose of being handicap, but I won't split hairs.

All this said, I pity people going through this. Not so much Bruce, as he has all the love and support and money (it really does help, doesn't it). He had the athletic manly successes early in life. Many who struggle with gender (homos, cis, trans, whatever) don't have his luxuries.

But if my friend or family member had this issue, similar to if they were schizo or alzheimbers or whatever ailment, I'd support them, with bewildered pity, not sure what the fuck to think.

But it's still fucking weird.

This article summarizes my feelings pretty well. This bit in particular:

Quote:Quote:

This trans Orwellianism is increasingly finding expression in the law itself. In Ireland last year, a trans woman won the right to have her sex changed to female on her actual birth certificate. This is alarming. The midwife who said ‘This is a boy’ when this trans woman was born was telling the truth, and that truth was recorded on a public document. No matter — truth and history are putty in the hands of the trans lobby. Just as Big Brother thinks it can force people to accept that 2 + 2 = 5, so trans activists want us to chant: ‘Bruce Jenner is a woman and has always been a woman, even when she was producing sperm, impregnating women, and winning gold medals in men’s sports.’ And the small matter of Bruce’s birth certificate, his proven paternity of children? Forget all that; shove it down the memory hole.

What the Cult of Caitlyn confirms, beyond a doubt, is that there is nothing progressive in trans politics. It is shrill, censorious, unreal, demanding compliance, punishing dissent. Progressives should reject it. Jesus was not the Son of God, Bruce Jenner is not a woman, and, I’m sorry, but 2 + 2 = 4, and it always will.

Currently torn between a sick sense of admiration for Jenner having finally outdone his insufferable attention whore Kardashian family and a combination of fear, depression and resignation towards the current state of cultural affairs.

Bruce Jenner: "Call me Caitlyn"

I harbor no negative feelings towards Jenner's transition, and I hope he's planning to use it to prove a point rather than being a sporadic publicity stunt. I will still use "he", as he was born with a penis.

What I resent is the appropriation of terms such as "courageous" and "heroism". Being courageous used to require actual merit, an actual benefit to those around you and taking an actual risk. A firefighter who runs towards the inferno to save lives is courageous. Clara Barton, the Civil War nurse who tended to soldiers under artillery fire, was courageous. Jenner's Olympic achievements already cemented his legacy, his self-mutilation and estrogen treatments pose no risk to his comfortable, millionaire lifestyle. He could leave his house tomorrow in 6 in. sparkling heels, and it wouldn't rob him of his medals, his millions and livelihood.

President Obama's attention whoring is more condemnable than Jenner's new tits. Presidents are not supposed to gossip on social media, nor express his political platforms on the newest pop culture topic. He is being the parent that tries to be the kid's "big buddy" rather than a guiding father figure.

Sympathy for those less fortunate than ourselves used to be an emotion. Now it is bastardized, notions like sympathy, empathy and striving for human decency is commercialized and political. At this point in time, I can't say that I can muster any genuine sympathy anymore, because activism has turned into a prosecution process rather than an emotional one. If that is the case, activism is detrimental to those they are "helping", as people will just move from sympathy to indifference to resentment.
There's only so many times a little boy can cry "wolf" until the villagers just disown him.
