I know I don't post here much anymore, but Roosh got ripped a new one on the show. Watching that was cringeworthy, that Dr. Oz is really an asshole, hypocryte.

Roosh should have had better frame control, putting Dr Oz in his place like the bitch he is and then he should have changed the mood of all the women in the room.

I would have calmly ask him "Dr Oz, is your wife fat?" that would have been a good way to rattle him. Many would say "isn't that childish and personal?" fuck Dr Oz, he should have the script turned on him. Roosh's biggest strength which was logic is going to be neutralized in a room full of women, I don't know how he thought he was going to have a calm nice logical debate in a show that's target mostly towards women. He should have said healthy lifestyle and use humor to deflect the piranhas "what can I say? call me crazy, I like pretty girls" lol

Do you have experience appearing on national TV in front of a live audience goaded into hating you while an asshole conman peppers you with bullshit?

Whilst also dealing with editors who will scan 30 minutes of footage to find the moments when you look weak or frightened, then substitute them for any genuine reaction shots you have in that moment, and cutting out entirely any moments where you might look like you had the upper hand?

Roosh looks like the only sane adult in that entire room.

Well I just watched the entire episode. I don't think you ever had a chance to have an honest platform. I thought you made solid points throughout. Calm and collected. I thought you made the best of a bad situation. Regardless, you did a get a chance to present to a national audience and some people are impacted, some viewer probably is thinking differently. It is impossible that not a single person was affected by you being on the show. So you made a difference, you just had to fight through a ton of fat chicks and a showman. Oz was just trying to make money.

Also, I can't believe the warpigs were allowed to make a commercial about body positive and of course they are wrapped in black outfits. Because it is slimming.

This one had the crazy thought that she is pretty. Pretty much destroys any credibility she has.

For future TV appearances, as there will likely be more, I'd suggest only agreeing to live TV.

I was listening to Alex Jones, and he brought up Piers Morgan and how he would never have agreed to a taped segment in which they can edit.

And rhetoric beats logic when appealing to the mainstream crowd.

The part where Oz explains how his show isn't a medical show because of how small the "Dr" is in the title, reminded me of this.

Going through the episode again, I thought it would have been a perfect opportunity for Roosh to tell the fat women who told him ''we are gluten free, we are fat free, sugar free, and beautiful''.

First off, fire your nutritionist, you are definitely not sugar free, fat free, or beautiful. The half life of gluten is 4 months, whereas even absorbing traces of gluten can perpertuate the inflammation associated to gluten disorders.

What a SHAAAAAAAAAMEE.

Stephanies 145 pound weight loss.

Quote:Quote:

Stephanie Denny is 33, 6 feet tall, and currently weighs 175 pounds. But in 2011, she weighed 320 pounds — nearly double her weight today.

The Turning Point

After I gave birth to my last baby, I told myself, This is it, Stephanie. You better get your stuff together or you are going to be sad, lazy, and die an early death like your mom.I felt like a horrible mom, getting winded from simply looking at my kids. I had been approved for the Lap-Band [gastric banding surgery], but I decided I needed to give it one last real shot with diet and exercise alone before I went down the surgery route.

This sounds and awful lot like self-shaming and I, for one, do not approve. All she needed to do was go sugar free, gluten free and hire herself a nutritionist!

Quote:Quote:

The Changes

While I was pumping milk for a few months for my baby, I really concentrated on changing my diet. I even followed the Weight Watchers plan for nursing women for a while. Using a food scale was (and still is) the greatest help. From August 2011 to December 2011, I lost 40 or so pounds following Weight Watchers and using a food scale. At the beginning of January 2012, my sister-in-law challenged me to see who could walk more miles. Walking five miles per day, combined with logging what I ate on Sparkpeople.com (and eventually transitioning over to MyFitnessPal.com), helped me to drop even more weight.

After that, I did an entire cycle of P90X Lean and began using a BodyMedia armband to monitor my calorie burn. Through all of this, I had gotten myself down to 220 pounds. But once I had lost 100 pounds on my own, I found myself stuck. I had to make a change, so I joined a gym and hired a trainer. I began doing INSANITY workouts and went to spin classes. Around that time, I switched from using my BodyMedia armband to a Fitbit, because let’s face it — who wants to wear a bulky armband all the time?

Finally, I had lost enough weight to get a tummy tuck. When I healed from that, I stuck with clean eating and got back in the gym, and I lost the remainder of the weight. I also started going to a boot camp to get outside and do something different. Of course there were times when I felt like I didn’t want to have to work so hard and wanted to give up, but in those moments I’d remind myself that this was a lifestyle change and if I wanted the weight to stay off, I had to keep at it.

Today, I am concentrating on the shape of my body and filling in the rest of my skin with muscles. It can be a challenge, but I’m working on not being paranoid of gaining all the weight back. On any given day, my weight ranges between 175 and 180 pounds. People often ask me how many calories I eat, but it’s never the same number. Usually it’s between 1,500 and 2,200 calories, but it depends on how much activity I do on any given day.

TL;DR - She worked very hard and watched what she ate. Guess what happened? She lost weight! [Image: idea.gif]

Quote:Quote:

The After

Losing the weight has been amazing. I felt and still feel confident and energetic. There were so many new and incredible experiences: being able to go to amusement parks and not worry if I fit in the seat; walking around Disneyland (six to eight miles!) with my family and not wanting to die; going shopping with my friends — to any store — and being able to fit into the clothing.

What surprised me, and frustrated me, was the extra skin. After having lost so much weight (and having my children), I was left with excess skin around my midsection and my breasts were all sagging skin. No matter how much exercise I did, I had that extra stomach skin that I tucked into my pants. It was time to get surgery to remove it. I got a tummy tuck and a breast lift/augmentation.

But all bodies are beautiful. That extra skin is equal to battle scars and show how strong you are. Right?

Society is so two-faced and full of shit it is remarkable. I don't mean to belittle this woman, I'm only holding it up as a case of the media and society at large being extremely hypocritical in the messages they send. She was a dumpster fire hambeast before. If you listen to "Dr." Oz, we should all be busy making her feels super great about herself and confident. No need to lose that weight honey, you're beautiful!

Not sure what to make of her now. She's definitely improved, though all the arm tattoos give one pause. But hey. WB. Also, in her before pic she is actually smaller than the ham planets that appeared on the Dr. OZ show.

I am bumping the thread as Black Pigeon Speaks who lives in Japan (he is a German-Canadian) did a video on the effectiveness of fat-shaming:

Turns out that fat-shaming is highly effective on women when the entire society, media, entertainment and academia are doing it. Access to fattening and sweet food is plenty in Japan, but women are kept slim by constant fat-shaming from all sides.

In the West this does not work very much, because even if some men or magazines are fat-shaming them, then there are so many excuses by media, entertainment and academia - as well as many men - so that shaming them does not get much traction.

In Japan they were even fat-shaming the Hollywood version of Godzilla:

The Japanese Are Fat-Shaming the New Godzilla

“When I finally saw it, I was a bit taken aback,” Godzilla fan Fumihiko super-fan Abe told the AFP at a Tokyo exhibition of paintings of the monster. “It’s fat from the neck downwards and massive at the bottom.”

Other fans joked online that the American version of the monster had “done a ‘super-size me,'” calling it “a calorie monster” and “Godzilla Deluxe.” And perhaps the most cutting insult of all, posted to a Japanese forum, read, “He’s so fat, I laughed.”

This just in from CNN: "Trump appointing Dr. Oz to his sport, fitness and nutrition council" (link to the cache file here).

The CNN story criticized Oz, so he's apparently the bad guy now that he's in bed with Trump.

Dr. Oz is an opportunist - privately he may agree with a lot of issues. He has invited for example Dr. Mercola on his show who is a good alternative doctor. One of the contested issue of Dr. Mercola is his stance against vaccines backing that up with logic and numerous numerous studies and data. The funny part is that Dr. Oz has explicitly stated that he does not vaccinate his kids, but recommends it of course to everyone else. One could call him a bigot.

My take is that he isn't such a bad guy - he is just a Blue Piller who tows the party line. Blue Pillers have other issues with us Red Pill men. But I do think that he is opportunistic enough to throw other people under the bus, but also not too far gone as to not go his own route. Actually it's very much likely that he supports Trump in private.

God, the media are a fucking joke. I saw Piers Morgan's interview with Tyson Fury the other day. Fucking fawning over him and celebrating his "charisma" (rightfully), when a mere two years ago Morgan was aggressively attacking him for being a "misogynistic anti-semite" due to his beliefs regarding gender roles and zionism. It's all bread and circuses.

I may have written this earlier in the thread (or maybe someone else said it), but he's also something of a sex symbol for older middle-aged women. They fawn over him the way they did with Barry Gibb or David Cassidy back in their youth.

Where I used to work, women ages 45 and older would record his show and discuss it the next day. They saw him as some sort of surrogate boyfriend/husband.

It annoyed me at first, but then I thought it's better these women watch Dr. Oz than all those man-blaming Shonda Rhimes shows. Better a real doctor (no matter how sketchy) than "Grey's Anatomy."

So Dr. Oz is doing some good. For every Dr. Oz DVD they buy, that is one less cat they can afford.
