Had a girl promise dinner and a massage. She has amazing boobs and a tight body so okay. She sent me an address and two minutes before I arrived I messaged her. Response 'I am in zone t baby'. Fuck sake. By the time I got to meet up with another forum member elsewhere my taxi was over 330 on the counter. The guy charged 33,000 - ripping me off also.

I've gotta say, I can't remember ever being ripped off, or at least attempted to be ripped off, as much as I was in my three weeks in Colombia. One time in Bogota the taxi driver didn't turn on the meter and I didn't notice, which was my own fault but is still dishonest on his part. That cost me 15,000 instead of maybe 10,000 for the ride.

I noticed being short changed by taxis and cashiers almost every day, most of the time it was only 100 pesos or something insignificant and not worth my time. There were two or three times where the person gave me change for a 10,000 when I gave them a 20,000 or something like that, and quickly gave me the proper change when I amicably told them about their mistake.

Colombians' compulsive lying and taking advantage of others is a real downer, it just grates on you constantly when you can't trust a menial worker to act with integrity during a simple transaction or conversation. If you're selling chicles out of a briefcase just take the damn 200 pesos and be satisfied.

Can't wait to get back down to Colombia.

After all these years of traveling and using taxis, I've come to the conclusion that taxis and taxi drivers are to be avoided when at all possible, even if the drivers are honest. It's just a huge added expense which only seems to exist when you are in a city with pretty serious logistics problems. If I stick to places like South Beach, Playa del Carmen, Manhattan, and even Las Vegas, I can spend a whole trip without riding in a taxi.

To be honest, I found Colombians much more honest than Brazilians.

Someone should start a thread about this and maybe make a map.

That bullshit pisses me off.

Also do you guys have your version of "thedriver" in each city you frequent?

La villa should be really fun tonight. The line is huge and I'm definitely paying a cover because it's almost 10PM! Place must be packed as well.

I'm 89% voiceless and I am looking forward to see how tonight is going to unfold.

I'm not feeling sick, I'm just voiceless. Lol! I was able to hit the gym in the afternoon and I'm ready to get a notch tonight!

Dude last night we got charged 20,000. Tonight by myself it was 8,000.
We got over charged because we were drunk and with girls. The guy didn't even have the meter running.

I am usually not a negative person but tonight at Gringo Tuesday sucked. After some initial warm up groups I got talking to maybe four solid sets. Each set ended with me getting cock blocked by some drunken asshole. One guy literally just keep shouting 'World cup 1996' over and over!?. I am usually able to handle these idiots well but in this case the girls aren't even worth fighting over. It really seems to have dropped off big time since I first went. Is it a more busy tourist season at the moment?

When I look around I see very little one girl with one guy action. I see very little people running solid game or having an intimate vibe. It is groups of guys who either watch from the shadows or approach in numbers and fuck everyone's game up. Lots of guys are coming in packs of 6+ and just swarm an area.

Fisto was dancing with a cute girl but I think he called it quits too. I believe One A Day was on the way out when I left.

I might call it quits for a few weeks and hit it up again later in April. Kinda sucks cause it started so well but the last two nights there have been very average.

Atlantic,

On the bright side I think it would be pretty difficult for you to top your first two Gringo Tuesday experiences - a threesome and quite a few numbers including the smoking high class blonde, correct? Perhaps it's just regression to the mean.

I don't even trust taxi drivers in the places I live. Occasionally you get a friendly guy who will shoot the shit and give you the scoop on the city or country, which is great but rare. Luckily the most a Colombian taxi driver could possibly bilk you out of, short of a kidnapping, is approximately $8.

A man who procrastinates in his choosing will inevitably have his choice made for him by circumstance.

A true friend is the most precious of all possessions and the one we take the least thought about acquiring.

^ Ha actually I got taking to the 'Texas horse' girl you smashed and was tempted to go for it. I got chatting to other girls though and lost her.

Ya it did start of strong but the ratios have definitely been different.

Just got the +1 from One A Day. This guy is a legend for refusing to give up. Well done buddy.

Maybe it's time for you to change things up. You seem to have three goals - game, Spanish learning, and health.

I'll give you some recommendations based on what worked for me in a similar situation.

As for Spanish - you need to stop using English and stop hanging out with anyone who is not a native Spanish speaker. THAT is how you really learn. Also read newspapers, watch TV, listen to music while reading the lyrics in Spanish.

I would recommend trying to make Colombian friends and also to bang chicks from non drunk settings. Here is where you get creative. What's worked for me is a combination of women and people I meet from the gym, from volunteering (did it at a Catholic soup kitchen in Seville, even though I am as atheist as they come), and from an outdoor activity club (could be hiking, could be a sport, could be a few different things). Really the outdoor activity club is where I had the most fun in Spain. So much that I repeated it anywhere I went in the Spanish speaking world that I could. We did hikes, rock climbing, random shit like SCUBA or parasailing days, etc etc. I was the only foreigner, and people were very welcoming. In Spain it was called a "Club de Senderismo", I'm not sure what the Colombian equivalent is.

All of this works together. You build relationships and create a lifestyle that's not dependent on a nightlife grind.

Atlantic,

Remember that blond girl you approached and talked to? Well, she asked about you. I know she was all over the place but she shown some interest. Well, a bit too late.

Side note: I can't believe I bumped into last year's threesome girl tonight...

I wanted a lay tonight. The chick I went home with actually has a boyfriend.. Crazy shit... I just escalated the situation quickly. She asked me where I was staying and I told her I was in an apartment. Right after, I asked if she would like to come home with me and she agreed. No resistance.. (you guys might think I'm a big talker but things just works in here for me.. I don't know why)

We had sex for a few hours and she left a few hours ago.

I agree with VolandovengoVolandovoy recommendation... Specially about trying to make some native friends. Pushing yourself to speak Spanish all the time. Getting to know a new word every single day and making a sentence with it (so your brain can memorize it).

Bed time for me,
ONE A DAY

If you guys are taking taxis from that line at Zona T, to the east of the Irish Pub, you're going to get charged more as its an official "safe" taxi stand. To avoid that either use Easy taxi or hail one from the street, they have meters and will begin the ride at 25, at the end of the ride, look at the number on the meter and calculate it according to the hanging chart on the back of the passenger seat. They will charge extra for fares after 6 or 7pm, Sundays and holidays but it shouldn't be more than an extra 2000 pesos, its a stupid system but it works.

Guys its Semana Santa so things will be quieter in Bogota until Monday as the wealthy Rolos fuck off to the coast or their fincas outside of town, the bars and clubs won't be as busy but if you visit one of the vacation towns, you could have a decent time; one is called Girardot, I've never been but have heard good things about it, its a two hour ride from Bogota and should be full this weekend, the weather is very hot there (+31 today), so it may be a good option to get away from the dreary weather: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Girardot,_Cundinamarca

I'm back in Edmonton now, its -2 and fucking snowing. Last week Linux was trying to convince me to stay a few extra days, I'm kicking myself in the ass now for not taking him up on that. It was great to meet up with you guys the other night, wherever you do end up going to tomorrow, it will be an epic night with Atlantic, Fisto, Oneaday, Geovert and Linux, wish I was there!

Scotian,

-2C.. It hasn't even crossed my mind to go back to Canada.. I mean, I've completely disconnected myself and I barely think about work, Toronto, etc...

The shock will be greater this time around when I hit the Canadian soil... 2-in-1 trip. Colombia and Brazil.

It will take a while to get used to it again...

Tonight in colombia will be happening as Thursday and Friday places close and back to usual for Saturday. Yes, many will be gone to fincas and vacation and such, but many will be around. La T will be busy.

I haven't written a report in a few days so here are some thoughts from the last few days.

I have been observing some of the guys passing through here and although I have only met Fisto and Linux briefly I did get to spend quite a bit of time with Geovert, getdownonit, Scotian, Turysta and ONE A DAY. Before I arrived I was curious how some of these guys were getting such high notch counts.

Some observations of their collective game:

- Size. A lot of these guys have been gyming hard. I think I am in responsibly good shape but these guys are carrying quite a bit of muscle mass and it gets very positive reactions. I need to bulk up and get to that next level. These guys are getting very positive attention from girls are are quite noticeable walking around the place. The attraction is highly physical which also means highly sexual.

- High Input. Equals High Output. Some of these guys have crazy drive and are approach machines. I don't mean in a spam RSD way but in a cool calculated manner. They don't give up and keep going till the notch is secured. I need to work on this. I am letting some notches go by being lazy and throwing the towel in early.

- Style . These guys are rocking suits and high end style. Good watches and clean shoes. Again impressive stuff and puts them way ahead of your typical traveler. They look and act the part. Some guys have paid attention to every detail of traveling and it creates a very impressive overall appearance.

- Logistics. . Good apartment locations, right area in the bar, good service and drink set up, uber, date planned out, drinks back at the house, portable speakers etc. All conducive to notches and everything flows well.

Also i might be taking a week long road trip with Linux to the coast...

I may be coming to Bogota later this year, can you be more specific? I'm 5'10, 185, look pretty big compared to most guys in Guadalajara, wondering how that'll play in Bogota.

There is a lot more experienced guys on here so check out the info they have written too. My opinion:

Bogota: If you have no Spanish and are relatively new to travel. It is easy to get around and lots of girls are bilingual.

Cali: If you have some Spanish and some travel experience. A little bit more advanced but better rewards than Bogota once you know what to do.

Medellin: If you have advanced Spanish and a good knowledge of Latin culture. Probably the nicest the city but also the hardest (I think) in terms of game for a newbie. Having excellent Spanish puts you ahead of the game and is nearly a must.

That is pretty much my stats. I get good reactions but these guys are bigger again. I can't exactly say get huge for one trip but if you want to get big in general it will definitely help when you do make it down here.

A few girls have talked about why the go for foreign guys. A common trend I see is they think their own men are too emotional and soft. Being a large muscular foreigner then plays into the fantasy that they want when they date outside their own country men.

Got my first hit of LMR tonight. The only girl so far that I have gotten home and hasn't banged.

Met for a coffee but everywhere was closed (Easter Sunday) so just brought her back to my apartment. Watched a horror movie and got some make outs in between. Movie ended and I switch on some music and started escalating. Turns out she is super shy and definitely inexperienced. Which is weird because she is 29 yr old, a lot older than most girls I have been with down here. Got as far as her being topless and down to her panties but the second I put a finger in it was game over so called her a cab. I tried all my usual plays but nothing was working.

Also I messed up the dates on Barranquilla, its going to be next week. Anyone with good info on where to stay and what places to hit up please let us know.
