Cactus Fruit, but I only like the green ones.

I am surprised one of us sick fuckers hasn't said something like "the snowball after a girl goes down on me." (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=snowball)

Well, I eat the shells on peanuts.

On an unrelated note, any idea why my stool is bloody all the time?

Let's Asian this up all the way:

I'm assuming Suits has encountered all of these ShenZhen delicacies.

Snake or Rat Wine: Usually homemade across Southern China, cleans the kidneys and boosts the immune system. Even in Anglo-countries, we will go buy mice to make wine. When an old Asian grandma asks "Where is the nearest pet shop?", she isn't opening you.

It doesn't look safe to drink. When you say rat wine; are you referring to this?

Japanese fish snacks, like this one with slivered almonds:

chocolate sandwiches, a Spanish tradition. I know people who put sliced chorizo on this:

Barnacles, or any seafood, anything at all. Strange looking seafood but unbelievably tasty:

To be fair there's some stuff I won't even touch.

Like the raw fermented Thai pork sausage. People actually get sick and die from eating it every year. Plus trichinosis risk is nothing to fuck around with.

Plus some variants of Som Tam (papaya salad) with the little land crabs in it. Bad bacteria content is high and you get the shits easily from it.

I love both of those.

There's also a raw blood soup in Thailand I forget what it's called but it's real funky. I had a small taste of it in the countryside and that was it for me.

Is that the stuff you can order with bile mixed into it? If so I had that once, probably won't go for it again.

This thread is making me miss Thailand.

Not all that weird, but if I usually eat vanilla ice cream with a fair amount of cinnamon and a little splash of vanilla. If I don't even have those then a little hot cocoa powder will do. It's pretty damned good.

I tried some paprika on my ice cream recently and it was really good.

Fried octopus as well as ketchup on fish and on most Italian dishes from lasagna to cheesy spaghetti variation my mom made with layer of cheese on top with noodles/beef packed in underneath. Other than that I guess maybe barbecued corn.

I also don't get why snake wine and rat wine would be disgusting I mean plenty of Americans down Everclear and even I dabbled in it when I had nothing better. That and piss flavored commercial beers are good as reason as any to have a go at either of those.

Totally agree. Cant imagine the amount of people who can tolerate a diet of processed junk/fast food.

Speaking of KFC fried chicken.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAS_syndrome

i used to put my desert (e.g. Pear framgipane with custard) into a bowl, then put the meal (e.g. Cottage pie) on top and eat it to save time. I always got weird looks, but it all comes out together, so might as well go in together.

Cockles and Nutella go quite well together too.

Funny how a lot of stuff mentioned in this thread is made of natural ingredients and processes for the most part and is considered weird, yet in the West we'll scarf down stuff made from a shit ton of chemicals cooked up in a lab somewhere and think nothing of it.

Oxtails - braised with some red wine, beef stock, and aromatics for about 5 hours. Black folks would eat them whole out of the oven just like this. I like to pick all the meat off the bone and separate it from the cartilage, leaving just the meat. I will use the meat to top grits, risotto, mashed potatoes, tossed with some fresh pasta, or just make sandwiches with a little ciabatta bread or even regular sandwich bread. In all honesty, it is my favorite cut of beef. Absolutely otherworldly good if done right. Good on or with anything.

A lot of Vietnamese places in Houston make their Pho broth with oxtails and anise with aromatics.
