Attracting Girls Online: A Guide to Good Photos, Why They Matter, and How To Get Them

I found a girl on Tinder who is a professional photographer and on our first date had her to take a bunch of photos of me (which she then edited for me too) before I took her to a dinner... Spent $30 and got $300+ worth of pictures..

Attracting Girls Online: A Guide to Good Photos, Why They Matter, and How To Get Them

This thread is going to be a life changer in this day and age for almost any guy that comes across this forum given how much dating apps and online game in general has taken off.

I used to be the guy who had selfies and poor quality pics up but then I ended up observing my friends who did well with online dating. What I found was every single photo they had of themselves told a story, it truly spoke to the saying of a picture being worth a thousands words. If you are a guy out there struggling with dating and meeting women, I strongly urge you to invest in good photos of yourself.

The one thing I found as I got better photos done, albeit not by a professional photographer, is that if you are true to yourself then it will come off as genuine and real. When we feel passionate and strongly about something, it shows in our faces while it wouldn't have shown if we felt indifferent. Even before social media, people took photographs of special occasions in their lives such as traveling to that fancy place, having that awesome party or anything that brought out the best emotions in them. If you are a guy who is living a life true to himself and genuinely content, it will show in photos. A saying out there goes that you don't smile with your mouth but instead your eyes, that is why photographers say silly stuff to get you to laugh.

I'll also tell you guys that the next time you are on a dating app or run across a random Instagram portrait that has received a lot of likes, truly study it and observe it.

When you come across that one girl on a dating app that looks real good and stands out above the rest, truly study the photo itself and see what is making her standout so much in the best possible way. Try to see what it is about that very photo that managed to get your attention and really catch your eye before you swipe right. Most of the times the environment, lighting and special effects play a big role. Same with any pic you see on Instagram that is receiving thousands of likes, see what it is about that photo that has so many people engaging, don't do this with celebrities though.

I had my friends take more pics of me in social settings, experiment with filters and during certain times of the day and my results on dating apps skyrocketed. Even when I use those pics today, I can get by on game through just online dating alone. It excites me to know that when I am back in better shape, in the city I've always wanted to go back to for a while now and having an editorial photographer to work with what is possible. I have had friends who have had these sorts of photos done and they live exclusively off of online dating, consistently meeting above average looking girls from it.

OP got it, he hit the nail hard with this thread and this very thread is an intro to modern day game for men.

I have no doubt that cold approach will always be around and that the guys who have mastered it will always do well but in this day and age, we are in a game of images and appearances. You have to present the right image of yourself to this word and a great picture tells a story about who you are. People see that photo and they immediately come to conclusions about you, they make assumptions and they ask questions as well.

In this day and age, the guys who are not investing in this are losing out.

That is how the game has changed, you can't hide behind a gimmick and the beauty of photography is if you are a guy who is socially smart, has a passion and a spark in his life then the photographs will show that. Great historical figures, famous men we all look up to and high status guys out there have all had these sorts of photos done. We are in an age where game has changed from corny gimmicks on women who are strangers to presenting the absolute best version of yourself in the age of internet and social media.

OP, I forever thank you.

Bumping this because I think I've found a way of getting professional-looking photos for relatively cheap.

Airbnb has rolled out their "experiences" feature a little over a year ago. It seems that lately every major destination has editorial photographers offering photo shoots for great prices. I imagine this is a fast food kind of deal (they probably have a routine, take you to some predefined places), but still, you can get some of these for as little as U$50. There are all kinds of different offerings - night time, tourist spots, rooftops, lesser known places, etc. Some of the photographers are beginners, but some look legit. If you travel a lot this looks especially great, you could amass pro photos in all kinds of places.

Has anyone tried these out? I haven't yet but I will soon and will report back.

^^ Every other nightclub seems to have a pro photographer doing shoots and putting the pics on their website or facebook page these days. They prob use it to advertise the photographer and the club at the same time. My best pic online comes from it.

- Go to said nightclub who has got this service, they will display the photos of club goers in their promotion
- Casually ask photographer to take a pic of you
- Go to the website
- Use pic on profile
- Profit
Optional: have a group of guys slightly less good looking than you in the pic, or a group of hot girls

About Airbnb: maybe I should do it in the tourist spots in my own city? Could be a good idea

Haven’t done tinder or bumble yet. Just FB, Instagram & Meetup. I have a couple of decent phone selfies on there. I get a girl contacting me about every two weeks or so. I have no information on my profile other than location and marital status.

That's a great tip, although there are a few variables you don't control: you don't know if your pic will be posted at all (they don't post all pics), photographer won't be making a huge effort because they have other pics to take, won't be taking multiple shots, people around you might not contribute well to the pic, etc. Plus you'll pay an entrance fee to the club anyway...

Yep, I don't see why not. In the city I'm at there are also some options like "nighttime photoshoot", "graffiti photoshoot", and other crap that could look good in an online profile.

This is a great suggestion. And there is an old military expression that goes "accuracy by volume". It could also be said regarding good photos, there is "quality by volume and diversity". Aside from online/social media game, any way you can present yourself well in pictures, and especially with diversity in pictures, will make a great big difference in how people perceive you.

The airbnb thing is great. If you like the results, then just keep the guy's personal details, and he will almost certainly shoot you again for a much cheaper rate. After all on the second go around he doesn't have to pay a hefty cut to AirBnB. Maybe he'll come up a new venue or even suggest a better outfit. Obviously this needs to be be the right kind of guy. Heck, maybe you'll become buddies and he has a good social circle with lots of fun people to meet anyway.

Of course the danger of pro photos with makeup as suggested by one poster is that when they meet you in real life you will look different

I have two professional studio photos and the rest are candid. I still never get a decent match. I think being black it does not really matter. There's a small section of white women who want to date black guys and the rest don't care. Atleast not online because online they can maintain their standards of the ideal white man.
Sucks dude, wish I was born in a black country.

I'm black and have matched with high quality white women. Not very many though.

Jab and Snag, I think you’re over valuing white women and using them as the metric to measure the worth of your profiles.

There are only three types of online woman:

i) those interested in you
ii) the indifferent / validation seekers
iii) those not interested

The vast majority of women are in group ii. In the unlikely event of finding a woman in group i, the huge choice offered by the cock carousel will see many group i women drop into group ii. In the PUA era, sex reduced the chance of a woman regressing into indifference but sex cannot stop ghosting in the smartphone era as well.

The only thing model like profile pictures can do is to temporarily increase your access to group i women.

An update on my pictures situation:

I found a fashion photographer in my city and talked to him. He was cool and totally understood what I was looking for. For 3-5 final, unedited photos, with 2 locations, 2-3 outfit changes, a pre-shoot meeting consultation, and 2-3 hours of time, cost me $270. That’s less than what I expected, so i’m pretty happy about that. I’m about to head to the consultation now, and will shoot on Wednesday since the weather is supposed to be clear by then.

In the meantime, i’ve experimented with a lot of different ideas in how I present my pictures, and i’ve found that it’s best to have no more than three (3) photos up at any given time. By posting too many photos, it seems like you’re only giving them more chances to be repulsed by you when they otherwise wouldn’t have been had you not given away too much in your pictures.

However, I also have a FB account (I don’t do IG) and it seems like this has only been helpful in breaking the ice, so I suppose YMMV on that point.

I’ll report back on this after the shoot to compare results with the new professional pictures.

I need some help please
I actually got a match with an attractive girl and spoke with her for two days, just chit chat.
She lives in London and I am in Brighton, about 2 hours away.

What do I?
Firstly I very rarely get this far even with girls much less attractive, but I don't want to set up a date and travel to London because that seems a little too keen and don't want to spend money going that far unless I know for sure we will get on but I know eventually this online chit chat will fizzle out, it always does with me. I find it boring.

Just whip out your ten inch cock and slap that sucker down on the table. That'll get her flying the redeye to Brighton.

Plus isn't hiring a photographer, paying $300 to take photos, posing like a dickhead, and changing outfits like a girl just a bit gay?

It seems gay, but the results I got made it well worth the money and the ever so slight feeling of being effeminate. That little $350 investments has given me a steady stream of 8s in new york where I travel regularly for work. Don't believe me i can post pics. I have a shit loads of 7s and some 8s in DC where I live via online game alone. I tell folks all the time, I grinded my ass off with cold approaching and night game prior and had pretty god damn good results. This dating app bullshit has completely spoiled me. I have college girls, hedgefund associates, policy wonks, models, artists...etc swallowing my cum from a $350 investment. I have exposure to women I would otherwise never meet because of the social circles I've traveled in. Get in good shape and get a good photographer and let the fucking rainmaking begin

Try reading this thread and decide for yourself if you’re still struggling with the dichotomy. To have to ask such things, whether in seriousness, or in snarky omnipotence, might be seen as indicative of having a preoccupation for thinking about things inherently homosexual.

I figure it's a safe bet that, as usual, only a tiny percentage of guys are even attempting to heed the advice of the OP. I've been on a break from the whole online scene for a couple of months now - really trying to put more effort back into live approaching- but this week I've been doing some experimentation on my own toward producing a few "pro" photos for perhaps a future profile, and so far have some admirable results, but I've yet to try them out. One other thing I did was cruise through Match.com for the 1st time in a while, and, not only to see what kind of lady action there is (sigh), I also took a quick spin to see what the dudes are offering as far as their own photos . . . and it's fuckin' abysmal. Cheap shit selfies, cliche gym pix, tons of pix with shades on, 95+% total garbage. I mean, what chicks would want to meet these chodes? Perhaps the most horrifying thing is how, even with this evident fact, the amount of raw trouble a guy actually putting in effort would still have on these platforms.

Stylish, thoughtful photos -annihilate- the vast majority of the junk that's out there, so maybe I'll take my latest set for a spin, soon. Still, I truly admire the conviction of a man like Roosh, who completely abstains from this type of venue, and with good cause.

Excellent thread I remember reading it for the first time back then while using tinder with one selfie and having poor results. I did not contact a pro photographer however I asked my bestfriend to do a photoshoot of me one afternoon. There is not a lot of exemples of what members have done in this thread so I'll post the 3 pictures I use from this photoshoot.

1: I used an instagram filter
[Image: attachment.jpg41490]

2: black and white filter
[Image: attachment.jpg41491]

3: no filter
[Image: attachment.jpg41492]

those 3 pictures alone allowed me to bang at least 30 girls from dating sites and facebook. I even ordered one slut to my apartment in Kiev!(telling her of course that we weren't gonna have sex before she came [Image: lol.gif])

On tinder and badoo I strongly suggest to use tinder loop and to add instagram videos on badoo. Stage the videos if you have too, it increased my results.

Attracting Girls Online: A Guide to Good Photos, Why They Matter, and How To Get Them

Seen this thread getting bumped and it reminded I had better thank BlurredSevens for writing such a comprehensive guide, which I followed about two years ago. Taking the advice of the thread I hired a professional photographer. Here's a breakdown of my experience:

Where to find

Google, same place you find everything else. At first I was checking out some student photographers on Kijiji and Craigslist (I would recommend this option if price is an issue). They were significantly cheaper ~$50 as opposed to ~$200, I'm sure you could find one to do it for free. My issue with this was is that they will be using these photos as part of their portfolio (understandable, why else do it for free). Personally I'd rather keep my photos private or as private as they can be, you are posting them online after all. If this isn't an issue for you then go for it.

The reason I chose my photographer was two fold:
1. Portfolio - his website was great and full of the type of photos I wanted done.
2. Personality - this is even more important, if you don't feel comfortable talking to the person you won't feel comfortable being around them either. And make no mistake this will come out in your photos. I talked with him on the phone beforehand and even sent him a link to my social accounts so he could get a feel of the type of person I was. This made all the difference. Before hiring ask yourself this
'Is your photographer someone you'd go for a pint with?' If no then move on.

Price

An hour long shoot with two locations cost $180 Canadian. Prices seemed to hold at around the $200 mark.

Location

Best to discuss this with your photographer. And this is the advantage of paying those extra dollars. What you get or at least what you should get is someone who knows the city better than you. I discussed with him through email what I wanted; an urban environment and something in nature. He was able to pick two great locations.

Results

I ended up with a handful of tasteful, cool looking photos for my social accounts. Anything I had before that was grainy, poorly shot and mostly from college. After creating a new profile with these photos my match rate and response rose significantly. How much more? That's hard to quantify, but quantity and quality rose. Overall I say it was worth and would recommend it to anyone who is using dating apps.

My best ever photoshoot scores 4,5 on attractiveness on Photofeeler. Guys at r/truerateme thought pics are not mine and some 3,5 celebrity's. Dunno how to react to this - they think I'm somewhere between nearcel and low tier normie but celebrity at the same time. Apparently not many of them in the West know what glamour photography is. For some reason here in Ukraine professional photoshoots are much more common among low tier males than in the West.
