Most of you know that I live in Beijing, but with a long winter vacation as a perk of my present employment situation, I'm in a position to go somewhere warmer in January and February and enjoy good weather/new pussy.

I left Beijing on an overnight train Monday afternoon this week. I love sleeper trains and prefer them to flying, because they cost remarkably less in China and they allow me arrive well rested, rather than exhausted by five hours of sitting in a cramped airplane next to the fatty oozing into my seat.

We met for dinner with another player who had lived in Hong Kong previously and was back visiting.

Having completed dinner, when went and ran our standard Hong Kong street game. We go to LKF, the major party neighbourhood in Hong Kong, get some beers at one of the three 7-11's on a good corner and waiting for women to come and do the same thing, so that we can open them. If there isn't enough traffic to the 7-11, we'll go down the hill to open women further away.

We all opened a bunch of sets and while I consistently closed numbers, I didn't get an leads that I really liked or offered good logistics. A lot of girls claimed to have a boyfriend or didn't even have a local number to use or were leaving the next day.

All in all, it was a fun night, but ineffective game wise, although a good warm up for future nights.

Later that night I came back to the LKF and met forum member CodyB for the first time.

CodyB did a great job winging. Hong Kong is the top gaming environment for me worldwide. I happen to really like the personalities and sophistication of the women in meet in Hong Kong, both local and immigrant, and my ability to speak Mandarin Chinese and a very low level of Japanese is a huge asset because of the number of mainland Chinese tourists and the fact that Hong Kong women find it very impressive when I speak (Mandarin) Chinese better than they can, since many of them study it in school and appreciate my hard work in learning it as well as I have.

I haven't lived in Japan or spoken Japanese in ten years, so my ability with the language is largely faded, but being about to throw a few words out there quickly also demonstrates value at opportune times.

CodyB describes himself as new to formalized pickup efforts, but clearly has a lot of experience with the ladies and SEA culture. His knowledge regularly aided in demonstrating value and between the two of us, with different experience and skills, I think we came off very well with all the women we talked to over the course of the past few days.

A fun time, but not lead heavy.

We went home after 6AM when the MTR was running again.

I followed up with Singaporean hottie the next day, ran standard comfort / value demonstrating building text game. After a suitable amount of work in the comfort building phase, I shifted into laying the groundwork to isolate her from her sister and into my seduction lair (Kowloon hotel room).

Suits: Don't worry. I totally understand. But you'll have to wait till I visit Singapore or you come to Beijing to hear about why the club I went to last night was "mostly horrible." There was usually a bit of delay in her responses, which is normal, so after that last message, I didn't hear from her for a bit and made the decision to go on a pub crawl with CodyB, which only cost $100HK, and involved good value and the possibility of meeting DTF women.

We caught up with the pub crawl at their second stop of the night. The ratio wasn't bad, although it wasn't fantastic, but we grabbed some drinks and I quickly opened the first set that wasn't already being chatted up by one or more guys.

The two girls, one from Switzerland, the other from Australia, were pretty cool and friendly, but there was some hilarious moments when CodyB was grabbing another round, when this very friendly, but completely socially unaware Hong Kong guy kept interrupted our conversation. We broke of the set with the intention to re-engage in the future when the crawl shifted to the next venue, which was super crowded to the point where making approaches or even moving was nearly impossible.

We bided our time until the next venue.

Meanwhile, I started getting texts again from the Singaporean Nerd who worked with pee for a living.

Going out again tonight (Saturday evening). Will probably run street game and then fork out the cash to get into a club.

More updates to come. I will be staying in Hong Kong till Tuesday and then going to Shenzhen for the first time ever. Will probably also check out Guangzhou in the next week or two.

Nice report. My favorite HK club used to be Billion in the same building as Play - was a pure meat market with very little white competition and lots of unpretentious, energetic girls looking to have fun. They replaced it last year unfortunately with some abomination called Dizzi which replaced 80% of the dancefloor with an apparently intentionally confusing corridor of mirrors and tables (hence the name). Pi was another cool club that is no more. Overall LKF was much better in my opinion 3-4 years ago.

Wan Chai on Wed and Sat is another good tip, and I don't mean that for the Filipino hookers. Go to Carnegies and the surrounding bars that have an interesting mixture of high schoolers, uni students and creepy old white guys. It's dive bar-ish and trashy, but plenty of young hot girls there, both foreign and locals (the latter mostly from the international schools). A bit more social circley but later in the night it's easy to get talking with people because everyone gets shitfaced.

Saturday Night

Saturday night turned out to be a lot of awesome fun, but resulted in no game success.

CobyB and I met Laner for the first time, as he had just arrived from Shenzhen. Since he could only use his phone in Hong Kong with the help of a WIFI connection, I was a little concerned that we might have trouble identifying each other at the meet point in Central, when Laner emerged from the subway, that concern quickly dissipated.

CobyB has been rocking a great blazer look that fits his friendly, but "I don't give a f" gaming demeanor and I was rocking one of my typical slightly off the wall suit combinations with a navy blew jacket and baby blue pants, complete with brown shoes and belt, but Laner put us to shame with his very fitted black suit, complete with what gave every appearance of being a tailored shirt, a tie and tie bar.

The moment he walked out of the street level subway entrance, CobyB says to me "that's him." I look up and say "yep, that's definitely him."

Despite all the passing traffic of all races, it is immediately clear which one of the hundreds of people about was an RVF member.

My take on Laner might be slightly off because he was very winded from some intense days in Shenzhen when we met, but judging by Saturday night and Sunday afternoon, he manages to combine a laidback appearing disposition with great posture and a visible sense of high self-confidence.

We stopped briefly to rehydrate (CobyB and I had been out every night for several days in a row at this point and were constantly have to re-fight the battle to cure hangovers) and then walked up the hill to LKF.

I asked him if he knew were the closest petshop with hamsters was, but he had no idea.

Accommodation

I only got to sleep three hours, because I had to check out of my hotel and switch to a different one at noon. I opted to go with one of the most affordable hotels in Hong Kong for two nights, because the money I would save would allow me to extend my stay in south China much longer than I might otherwise be able to afford.

As long as my room was clean and quiet, I didn't care if it is a shoebox.

For those curious, my first hotel, just off of Nathan Road in Kowloon was at a hotel with a price list that started at 575 HK$, but I negotiated down to 400 HK$ and stayed five nights.

It was a small room, but in a very quiet building and with a great room late out design that made the most of the space.

It came fitted with a power plug converter, kettle, fridge, microwave, drawers and shelves, WIFI Internet (that seemed to cut out every single morning from 4AM to 8AM), a very nice (but small) bathroom and a sturdy bed.

The new place didn't have most of those features, but the WIFI Internet was comparable and at least there was a bathroom that was about size of a stall at a public bathroom.

The bed was a custom welded affair, designed to fit into a room that isn't actually perfectly rectangle. The hot water hours for showering are also limited to eight hours a day and it isn't very quiet, but all in all, these inconveniences bring the cost of a night's stay down to 200 HK$. Not too shabby in Hong Kong.

And it's good enough for the ambition player, as you'll soon discover.

Sunday Afternoon

After moving my stuff to the new hotel and checking in, I took a ferry to Wan Chai for my favourite weekly cultural event in Hong Kong.

Due to the massive amount of domestic labourers in Hong Kong from mainly the Philippines and Indonesia, there is a huge underclass of women who don't live very exciting lives.

They work six days a week and local men won't date them. We're not even sure if Indian men will date them, although there are lots of thirsty Indian dudes in Hong Kong, due to both immigration and the city's history as a truly internationalized destination.

Nearly every domestic help in Hong Kong gets their weekly day off on Sunday, which means that they'll congregate in areas like Central, lay out a blanket and spend the day talking, eating and watching TV with their domestic labourer friends.

A minority, however, unsatisfied with their type of excursion, will come to Wanchai, the historically seedy area of Hong Kong just off of the harbour that has a long standing tradition of caring for the sexual needs of visiting sailors in exchange for lump sum payments of cash.

In 2015, nothing has changed about that, but that doesn't mean that you'll only meet prostitutes in Wanchai, because the area has become a clubbing destination that offers more affordability than LKF. It's less pretentious as well.

Normally the club scene is completely non-existent until the late evening hours anywhere in the world, but on Sunday afternoon at 1 PM in Wanchai, the party is already started, because the domestic labourers who want to dance with their friends and not spend any money on drinks come here to dance before they need to be home (at roughly 8:30PM) to make curfew.

We call it Maids' Day.

Being barbarians, CobyB and myself talked Laner into joining us for an afternoon of clubbing in 1-20 M-F ratios.

I'd done Maids' Day in Wanchai once three years and secured a very easy make out with a girl who could optimistically be described as a 5.75. I've wanted to come back and do better ever since.

Given the competition, it was hardly necessary to suit up, but that didn't stop the three of us from donning our usual garb and being awesome.

I really didn't consider it worthwhile to explore Airbnb since I was going to be in Hong Kong for just about a week initially and my travel dates were unpredictable.

I prefer to arrive in the city, scope out the area I want to stay in, look for hotels and confirm good logistics, such as ability to get girls in and out without any hassle from staff and negotiate the best deal I can get on arrival.

I'd be curious about what other guys have paid for other housing options with good logistics and minimum distance from potentially DTF pickups.

This is an apt description. My return to maids' day came after seeing it exactly three weeks ago when I was still relatively new to game and still hadn't even passed first base with a girl. I got the fastest make out with a girl in my life that day, which for me was a real milestone at the time, even though she was a slightly chubby 5 at best.

I'd seen other girls that day, however, that were much more attractive, but being unclear about what I could potentially accomplish, I isolated the first girl that showed serious interest in me at the bar and proceeded to swap spit.

This is absolutely true. While there might be some hidden gems that are accessible on Maids' Day at Wan Chai, most of these girls really fall between the 1 - 5 range. The girl I banged had a nice body, but a face that was on its way to being rugged. I wouldn't even give her a 7.

Wan Chai Sundays offer more in spectacle than quality, but it's interesting to experience the dynamic that every single 6 or above female gets to experience when she goes to the club. A quick update -- Monday was a rest and recreation day. I checked out a temple I'd never been to before and ate dim sum with a friend I met in Hong Kong three years ago. After that, I just used to evening to rest up from 5 days straight of intense 5-12 hour gaming sessions.

My health has been good thus far, but I wanted to keep it that way.

Tuesday morning I checked out of my guesthouse at Chungking Mansions and took the subway to Shenzhen.

Pretty efficient border crossing procedure. Didn't take long and I didn't have any trouble re-entering with my Z-visa, which means my stock is good with whoever I paid off in Beijing for the visa.

I spent the rest of the day on Tuesday and Wednesday (today) afternoon socializing with a girl I banged last month in Beijing and people she knows down in here in Shenzhen.

The girl is very, very close to getting nexted because she hasn't put out in weeks, but I figured that it was worth my while to take advantage of her local connections in this city before I stopped responding to her friendly invitations to do everything except go to bed together.

So, I've gotten to enjoy some local flavour and check out some local hotshots for talent, without wandering around alone.

A bit late to this party, things have been hectic.

Suits and CodyB are feckin great guys to have a laugh with. Suits was right, I was winded as hell from some crazy Shenzhen days and nights. Plus my body was pumping the antibodies out of my lymphs like a fire truck. China is always one step from killing a man.

For the most part I just had to hang back and shake my head at these two clowns. Suits is a barbarian, CodyB is not far behind. By the time I left Hong Kong these two guys had me going for broke as well. Their positive energy and ability to just go with it is amazing.

At first I was a bit sad with maids day. It all looked rather bleak and full of very unattractive women. But I had a beer with CodyB and then it hit me. It's been nice to be able to take in Shenzhen for a few days, but it is a very different experience than Hong Kong.

Where Hong Kong is international and diverse, Shenzhen is very Chinese. Diverse by domestic standards -- people here are from all over China -- but international influence on the average person is minimal.

It is a very modern city, by all appearances, however. Urban planning is far above par. The metro system, despite one unsightly bottleneck at the line one to line four exchange, is smart and not overly crowded, even at rush hour. It gets full, but unlike Beijing, I haven't seen it packed full of people like a mosh pit.

While people even here in Shenzhen, still haven't learned how to let people exit before they attempt to enter, they are extremely quick to offer elderly people or folks with children a seat.

I've spent the last twenty-four hours achieving two objectives: (1) getting seven hours of great sleep, and (2) pursuing women.

Last night I hit up the Cocopark bar street, arguably the main party hub in the city, although there are one or two competitors.

I took copious notes throughout the night and will be adding to the Shenzhen datasheet thread later, but as a basic summer, although the night was not completely fruitless, I am not any closer to a bang at this point because of it.

I did determine that people are generally easier going and friendlier than people living in Beijing. Most of the Westerners (and other foreigners for that matter) out on a Wednesday night do not look like English teachers or tourists, but rather professionals of some sort. Probably the type that got an opportunity to transfer to Shenzhen and took it.

Very few girls out with girl friends. Mostly men in small groups or slightly larger mixed groups with more men than women.

Very limited opportunities to open any girl, especially without a wingman.

At least three large clubs with an all Chinese audience. One completely packed (Le Nest), one half full (Pepper) and one almost completely empty (Ella). No gaming opportunities there, unless you want to approach tables with 10 dudes, 2 ok chicks and one hot chick who is dating the fat guy in the middle.

I did have a girl you was very in to me, but after she sobered up today, she responded politely to my first text message and then not at all. She did kiss me, though.

As for street approaches, I spent quite a few hours out and about today and while Shenzhen has the advantage that there are a lot more very attractive girls here than you would see in Beijing or even Hong Kong, that doesn't mean that they are very well adjusted to being approached my strange men in the street.

I opened a good number today, but they were all incredibly shy and will they smiled adoringly and stared at their feet, they were all too timid to even try to talk to me.

This was with initially opening them in English ("hi") and then immediately switching into Chinese so that they would know that there was no language barrier to be worried about.

I need to spend a few more days opening in this city to give a balanced report and I don't wish to jump to conclusions, but at this point, I think that a particular method might be necessary to gain consistent results in this city.

I'll go back to the Cocopark bar street Friday night to see how it compares then. I suspect that it'll be a lot more lively with far more women, but we shall see.

Tonight I'm eager to go out again, but I've decided to get an early bedtime instead, get up earlier tomorrow and get as many sets in tomorrow as possible before I take a few hours off to rest up for what will probably be a non-stop Friday night.

I don't want to create split Shenzhen threads, but just to chime in....

Single girls can be found at the Starbucks on the south side of Fuqua Rd across from Coco Park Bar street (or really almost any starbucks at a crowded location - I like the one at GuoMao in Luohu, which turns into a club district at night, though without a mix of foreigners like Coco). They'll be in groups of 2-3 girls there as well.

Pepper is definitely mixed thursday to sunday, though the tables tend to be mostly Chinese only. Around the bar you'll find plenty of Chinese girls speaking english, and then mixes of foreigners, including Russian girls who I always assumed to be working/semi-working. Le Nest is more Chinese though anywhere in Coco Park does end up with somewhat of a lesser racial mix.

A lot of the regulars in Coco are not english teachers, but many are - there is a web school underneath coco park and you'll find these guys drinking in the Irish Bar/Mexican restaurant that fronts Fuhua Ave - and by the way, that place is seriously overpriced.

I'd try day game at perhaps the shopping side of Coco during the day, there are a ton of cafes where you can get a coffee and sit and wait for targets. If you're aiming younger, you can also head to LaoJie on the green line - tens of thousands of people move through there daily, including many young women. Its a decent place to go hunting and if you need electronics products, you can negotiate and get some great deals. Also, consider heading out to OCT/OCT Bay in Nanshan - wasn't my cup of tea, but in the evenings its very populated by all sorts walking around.

Online was never fruitful for me in SZ. Depending on how long you're staying (through the weekend presumably) you might run some mini - social circle game, open some guys and see if you float that into a KTV/club invite.

I'm as comfortable talking in Chinese to girls as I am using English to talk to girls.

I'm far from fluent, but I'm more likely to be slowed down by the fact that a Chinese girl has a sucky rural accent (that many Chinese themselves would have trouble understanding) than that my language abilities don't suffice.

In fact, I'm often funnier in Chinese than English, unless I'm talking to a smarter girl who really gets me.

I don't run coffee shop game for personal reasons, but I'd be curious to watch someone do it here in China. I'm assuming that systematically approaching all the tables with cute girls in a short time frame would not be a winning strategy. Hence, this would require some time commitment.

I wasn't too impressed by LaoJie. There were tons of cute girls coming and going there, but they all seemed to be pretty busy and were not very open to being approached.

Cocopark Shopping Mall was great. While Laojie girls didn't appreciate me opening them, the girls at Cocopark seemed to like it quite a bit and were open to conversation. They also seemed more internationalized at Cocopark.

I had some fun at Cocopark Bar Street on Friday night/Saturday morning.

After day gaming at Laojie and Cocopark Mall, I moved over to the Bar Street and spent the whole night there.

There were not many attractive targets, but I made the best of it.

Shenzhen is a cool city, more laid back than Beijing, but better than most cities you could be living in in China. For the moment, I prefer Beijing for a number of reasons. In particular, Beijing is more fun and exciting, with more stuff to do and more variety in food and venues, but if I need a place to winter each year for three months, Shenzhen would be high on my list. I just wouldn't want to live there year round.

In conclusion, I believe that Shenzhen is very game friendly, but the bangs will come more from day game at the mall or in the street, than from SNLs off of night game at the very limited bar and club options. I'd be curious about the perceptions that others who have been to Shenzhen would have on this topic.

I'll come back to Shenzhen, but only when I can financially commit to spending at least two months here with a rented apartment, because I think that having somewhere comfortable to invite women back to where we can cook/watch movies, etc would be necessary for me to maximize my game in this city.

If I want to get laid in under a week, I'll go to Hong Kong, even though it is a lot more expense.

Nice report. Here's a bit of feedback for your next trip.

with respect to the coffee shop game...I usually did it by spending more than an hour there - usually 2-3, bring a book (Chinese lesson book, typically). Be subtle, but there's enough turnover that you won't be tracked if you hit on a few different girls in a big Starbucks like Coco Park. You can also move from cafe to cafe, Coco has a dozen of them it seems. Simply Life is an excellent choice as well, with decent western food if thats what you're into.

for Laojie, I guess it depends on the day of the week. On weekends its super crowded and people aren't just passing through, they're handing out, eating and perusing all the junk. Though I'd think there would be sufficient targets even during the week. To agree with you though, Coco is far more "internationalized" than LaoJie, and so the girls are more open to being cold approached by a foreigner. Also, I've found that in wide-open spaces, Chinese girls can become skittish or shy about talking to a stranger/foreigner, as they perceive that they're being watched and judged by their peers. They are, most likely, with other girls being curious and maybe many guys being disapproving.

The biggest issue with Coco is the quality issue. The bar street side does not attract the best of SZ nightlife quality. There are a few here and there, but more likely to be locked up by Chinese dudes in a group. The rank and file girls in Viva and the other downstairs venues like LAX tend to be middle of the road, decent body, facially meh girls. The best looking girls are found in the clubs that are primarily or almost solely Chinese - there is one in Cocopark, where all the bouncers dress like military, but that place gives a bad vibe to some degree, and I had some not so great experiences in there, including having a large bottle of beer thrown by an unknown asshole as I walked by the place outside on the street. I had far better experiences in the Chinese clubs around Guomao.

The best things about SZ are it is relatively clean for a large Chinese city, its proximity to HK and HKIA (ten minutes from my place in Gangxia by taxi), with all of the top travel choices for SE asia being 2-2.5 hrs flight (except Indo), and the weather. Its a better place, IMO, to live and base than to visit. There are no sites to see, other than some parks, and its a mishmash of cultures due to all the migrant people there. Its not a great place to learn Chinese compared to other cities in China. However, girl quality is high due to all the influx of new money and people and there is enough variety never to get bored. Expat community there, to me, though, is a lot of losers - you can weed through and find some good dudes, but a lot of them are not particularly impressive, and their ability to pull quality local women reflects that. Which is fine, more for you and me...

I agree spending winters in SZ and then basing out of BJ the rest of the year could be optimal, if you had tight logistics in BJ and didn't need to deal with the metro every day.
