Great thread.

They Reminisce Over You. Quality rhymes keeping it real:

The Choice is Yours. Great video:

De La Soul. Not the most red pill hip hop but dope nonetheless:

A man who procrastinates in his choosing will inevitably have his choice made for him by circumstance.

A true friend is the most precious of all possessions and the one we take the least thought about acquiring.

So much great music...so many memories. But, why, oh why hasn't anyone plugged Oran "the Juice" Jones. Before Jay Z, before Biggie Smalls.. hell this guy wrote the book. Feminists, white knights and SJWs everywhere would have conniptions if this song was released today (that is, if a record company would even agree to put it out there).

Sorry, Im not techie- I don't know how to embed this, but anyway:

Jodeci last made platinum in 1996, then fell to nostril candy. Now 2015 comeback attempt, will it rise or flop?

Great tune and gotta love the message: Main Source--Lookin' at the front door.

This one's for the RVF: Naughty by Nature--O.P.P.

With all this Fergusson nonsense going on, lets take the time machine for a little dose of Afrocentricity and soul. This was the rough 70's and early Reaganomics, yet African Americans found the time and peace to make this sweet music; surely it can be duplicated in the modern day. I present the O'Jays...

Fat titties turn to teardrops as fat ass turns to flab
Sores that was open wounds eventually turn to scab
Trees bright and green turn yellow brown
Autumn caught em, see all them leaves must fall down, growing old

Surprised nobody posted this one yet:

Heard this on the radio yesterday afternoon, goes back to 1982, even before my time.

This takes me back to Century Club ~1999-2000.

There's still good stuff out there, it just isn't promoted or out there in the mainstream. Beats are getting a hell of a lot better then they were in the 90's also.
