A Requiem for [Male] Friendship

PM me, I have long considered a post on ROK about the decline of male friendship. If you have any thoughts, let me know.

The "ideal marriage threads" issue reminds me how it's simply not in many guys' nature to be "red-pill", even amongst the "red-pill" community. It's the famed Purple-pill (using red pill knowledge to obtain a blue pill ideal). It reminds me of a secrets-of-success type conference I went to years ago. One member of the audience stated that the guy's info must be bogus b/c why would he share it? The speaker's response: Because "99% of you won't do what it takes". This has been my experience. Guys I know that have been scorched in divorce, who have seen reality and articulate many of the things said here, who know what to do and not to do, ultimately re-neg and cave when they've been lonely for a while and a new cute girl bats her eyes. You can only worry about yourself.

So married people cannot be redpill at all? Explain how that works.

Excessive meme/random photo posts

We complain about Buzzfeed and the like being dumbed down forms of entertainment, but some threads on the forum feel like picture books that are not too different.

I don't mind the celebrity posts. Most guys are not out there gaming or having adventures. They are either in uni or working bland cubicle jobs. If not, there should be new datasheets weekly that we can critique or comment on.
The celebrity posts allow us to critique others who are living lives we probably desire to achieve to some degree.
The fact that most of the lizards in America think they are celebrities, watching how the celebrities deal with them helps us mold the mindset in handling these reptiles.

I like the chris brown, ludacris, dwayne wade screwup threads. It provides interesting critique material.

- Guys with snarky bitchlike comments that are uncalled for.

- Guys who constantly bring up race. Several members cannot go through a whole thread without mentioning it and recently one senior member has gone so far as to reference youtube comments to prove we aren't in a "post racial america". As if youtube comments are evidence of anything other than the posters on virtually every video are complete idiots.

- The emergence of guys with shitty "game" trying to position themselves as authorities when they aren't and the tolerance/lack of recognition of it by newbs.

- The weird tendency for guys to write about subjects or give advice on subjects they know nothing about. For example: places they've never been, nutritional advice, athletics/exercise, getting rich, actually everything. If someone doesn't know something they should be asking questions not telling others about what they think they heard from someone else that claims to be an expert.

The reason I personally can't stand these things is it makes discussing the topic impossible at worst and obfuscates valuable data at best.

It's probably the main reason I haven't been posting much recently. I've probably asked more questions than provided answers over the history of my posts.

I came across a lot of advice in the last six months that gave me this reaction.

Fisto, do you believe there is any validity in guys having a race thread then? Because I think the american women suck threads are just repetitive but I just tend to avoid threads that don't interest me.

I also see threads stating that working out has no impact on how a lizard sees a man which is obvious bull..but I just ignore those too.

The only issue I have with people bringing up certain topics is if they DERAIL a thread.
But if a thread was on a certain track to begin with...may it continue with gusto!

Pet peeve is dudes that always have negative comments to say.
Especially dudes that haven't dropped any good data period.

Its obvious why a lot of guys are here.
some emotionally traumatic event put them on the red pill.. but they are still bitter for whatever reason.
It comes through in the post

The repetitive race and anti-western woman threads to us are like low-skill drama TV to millions of Americans. They're repetitive, you can often tell what the whole thing will be about without even looking and they're cheap.

But it's often very relatable to any social problems.

Not so much a "pet peeve" but a weird moment I had with a forum member where I asked him if he wanted to meetup (I was visiting his city and didn't know anyone else on the forum who resided there). He proceeded to ask me a bunch of weird questions and gave off a really nasty vibe.

Whatever, though.

For some reason, when I'm on my Andriod mobile phone, I can't quote or multi-quote previous posters when typing a reply. Something about the forum software seems to be borked on mobile in that regard that never gives me a problem when I'm on my laptop.
