Why is Centro Historico not good at night? I went to a concert at El Pasaguero and the area was lonely, left there around 3am and caught a bus to Puebla.

Also, what are the locals views on Tepito? I go there all the time to "curiosear" (look around) and it's always a fun time but locals think I'm crazy so I don't let the bitches know I was there to avoid being frowned upon and save face.

Well, the talent is somewhat average. Girls all dressed up to go dance or drink heavily, but mostly not so impressive. Also, most places are banging loud music, hard to strike conversations. Besides, I have heard of friends being robbed at night in the Centro.

About Tepito? Well, in my opinion don't go unless it is absolutely neccesary. You may find cheap stuff, but most often it is not worth the risk.

It's spread out and doesn't have a lot of venues. There are a few bars around (but really spaced out), but not a lot of clubs although there are a couple around Metro Allende.

Like I said before, I actually like Centro because lower class girls go there and they are easier to game all things remaining equal. You also have a decent chance of running into gringo hunters there.

I remember being in a bar with some locals in Centro and literally had 2 random girls "rubbing" up against me and eye fucking me trying to get my attention. One girl was particularly persistent. I was sitting back facing against the balcony talking to a friend and she keep moving closer to me and eventually she was basically leaning against me when it wasn't even close to necessary (there was plenty of room). That's about as big as an IOI you will get in Mexico. If I hadn't already picked up a girl already that was in the group I was with she would have been very easy prey.

If you compare European girl and Mexican girl what will be the different ? More easy going and less shy ?

There is a chinese buffet that offers all you can eat for 8 bucks... I basically stuffed my face for one meal a day and had a small 1-2 meals for the rest of the day. This allowed me to eat for less than $12 a day.

Man, you went to Mexico City and went to a Chinese buffet every day? You can eat for a king and some of the best food in the world in DF for under $15 a day.

Yeah I'm offering it as an option, I'm not saying I did that exclusively but eating just tacos and mango cups gets pretty boring after while. That and the fact you basically have to murder someone to find a salad in D.F lol

Quote:Quote:

Lol he must be tired of Mexican food

TS can you cook?

Have you gotten the 'shits' yet?

I can cook but I was in a hotel so I didn't have a kitchen. I ate out for my main meals and had fruits/snacks/water in my room. And yes the food is very good in Mexico but the thing about Canada is we have soooo many immigrants here I'm used to eating shawarma one day, pizza the next, pasta after that, then asian food. It can get kinda boring.

I got the shits when i was in P.V and D.F too lol. I got chinese food at this cheap place near the uni and was puking in the middle of the streets on the way home lmao. Needless to say it was ensalada y huevos from there on out.

Quote:Quote:

Personally I would not recommend you stay in the Centro Historico in DF. It is fine during the day for seeing tourist sites but it is pretty much dead at night. DF is huge so getting around to the nightlife areas is a pain. Stay in Zona Rosa or Condesa. Tons of bars and places to eat there. DF is one of the most underrated cities in the world IMHO.

I was there for 4 weeks and loved every minute of it... But then again, I don't drink. I hate clubs. My friend has a theory that 90% of people at night venues aren't really having fun, I believe it.

The Centro is perfect, there's ALWAYS super cool performers like magicians, I have a video of a woman singing opera out of a 2nd story window at like 11PM on a Sunday night. There was a few hundred people watching. But if you don't like being far from night life.... I guess that isn't great because the traffic does suck in D.F.

As for being underrated... I agree. I was just in Medellin and think if you were to drop the beauty of those girls in the culture and atmosphere of D.F that would be my favourite city in the world. However I still think there's a good amount of cuties there.

As a rule of thumb, never eat Chinese food in a poor country. Even Chinese food in Italy fucked people up when I was out there. The hygiene of Chinese restaurants are low even in America, can't imagine what they are in Mexico.

You have, when you are eating exclusively off the street.

There are even salad franchises. It really looks like you only left your hotel to eat tacos and mango cups from the stand across the street.

I really recommend Mexico City, big, food, culture, girls and I live here so PM me if you wanna hang out.

This is a lot of bouncing around from city to city. From that list, I would do Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Playa and forget the rest.

I might Skip Tuxtla (Chiapas) from cancun coz there is only few plane (14 et 17 march) for around 50 euros but i would like to enjoy more Cancun, Madras and Playa del carmen and then back directly to mexico city [Image: wink.gif]

So i do guess it will be me more like Mexico SMA Guada Cancun Playa and Madras (Yukatan maybe for 1 night or just go in the morning and back in night time)

I wouldn't spend any real time in Cancún, other than what it takes to walk through the airport to Terminal 3 and catch an ADO headed out of town.

@Gunner

Thank you for your datasheet in SMA (you got punch in a bar ? Wow O_o) and still after your reading i will definitely come there for 2 days since it s the meetup point with my mexican friend there for go to guada so i think it will only be 2 days and leaving on friday to guada for the the tequila train in guada it s only on weekend and cost approximatively 80/90 euros but everybody told me it worth to do it once in your life. It s like the orient express with All you can drink tequila and u are completely waste when u get there !

27/4 Mexico City (friend place) I guess we can manage to do something since she s working on week day so i will be available in day time.
4/6 San Miguel de Allende (AirBnb)

It's a bus that takes you from Cancun airport to Playa del Carmen. Keep your eyes open when you get on the bus. I saw a quality Russian, sat next to her, and talked to her the whole bus ride.

Anyone have been to san miguel Quintana Roo ? Is it worth more than cancun ?

There is so nice condo there : https://www.airbnb.fr/rooms/2342836?chec...015&s=E4oD

Maybe worth more to go there by boat from playa del carmen ? Any idea for the boat price between playa and San Miguel ?

A number also, but she wasn't staying in Playa del Carmen, so there were logistical problems. ADO goes to Playa del Carmen, but sometimes makes stops on the way. The bus dropped her off before we got to Playa. By a huge coincidence, she lives very close to me in the U.S., so I might call her. When I'm in this shithole, I usually focus on work, sleeping, and the gym, and not girls. It may not be the best way to go, but it's what I've grown accustomed to and the women here are really awful.

It seems like you're putting words in my mouth. I'm not saying that there were no restaurants of the sort but it was definitely much more out of the way or expensive to eat those kinds of food.

I didn't just walk across the street. I walked hours throughout the city daily to get to my Spanish school and back, I've explored a fair bit of the city. Yes, I understand there is pizza hut, there are those restaurants. I'm not complaining, it was just an observation. However, I don't know what you're talking about when you say Immigrants are in Mexico City. I was there for 2 months and only ever saw a handful of gringos outside of my Spanish school.

As for the club thing... think about it logically before making presumptions. Most guys go to clubs for the sheer purpose of getting laid. A lot of girls go to clubs just to get attention and free drinks. I'm not saying I never have fun at clubs but then again I live in a neighbour city of Toronto.

Theres not much going on in Tuxtla. Try San Cristobal, its less than an hour ride away.

Sure man. Your trip sure looks interesting. Mexico City is such a cosmopolitan city theres even, get this, a Pizza Hut. Like a whole Pizza Hut with tables and everything. I couldnt believe it either. You should write a datasheet.

When I wrote pizza hut I was referring to there being american restaurants and thats a name that popped into my mind. I did write a data sheet, cut the sarcasm.

It seems like you guys think Im culturally ignorant or I did fuck all when I was in Mexico City. It's just not true. I ended up moving in with a family there and lived for a couple weeks with a girl I met. I don't appreciate the trolling. This isn't highschool and I don't have time for sarcasm or stupid games. I was simply offering my view point on things.

If you disagree with me it's okay.
