There was a national holiday on 27th, the liberation front day; locals can therefore extend their holidays at the seaside. Students leave for their home towns. has the best interier, but lacks the 'soul'. It has mostly Ukranian and dominican girls

Hardcore:
the most urban, but too big. It is the right choice when they have a big event, like a pornstar coming for making a show. Around half of the strippers are slovenian girls, and others from Balkans. This club receives best media coverage (if anyone is familiar with Max Modic then you know why the club is so famous).

Next time you're here, ask few taxi drivers, they should have information if there's an official 'party' going on anywhere.

This is a good thread with great info. It helped significantly when I went to Ljubljana but i'd like to expand on Metelkova.

I'm 23, so hostels are overall still a good option for me although I only get private rooms. Hostel Celica http://www.hostelcelica.com/ , which is in Metelkova, is the best option imo for a hostel within Ljubljana. Metelkova has about 6 bars within a small area, one being rock, another dubstep, techno, a gay bar (which if you're looking for weed is where you would want to ask around) and a few other ones with various styles of music. A good amount of the people in that area of college kids who can't afford the drinks in bars so the buy cheap beer from a store and just drink right on the street. Most these people while they may look grungy are very friendly. The girls are shy though so don't be afraid to approach.

Something I like to do is start drinking games with some other backpackers in the hostel, have a table or 2 of games going. Then go out around the corner to Metelkova and approach groups of girls and tell them I need partners for the American drinking games I'm teaching the people in the hostel. I found it very easy to get groups of girls to join, which is great when you have 8 guys and only 2 girls playing the drinking games back in the hostel. The words "I have a bottle of ______ in my room upstairs" seem to work well as an excuse to get the girl to your room. Isolation I feel is more important since this a smaller city so the smoking area near the stairs of the hostel is area for that since not as many people are in that courtyard.

Orto Bar, a 5 minute walk from Metelkova is a good venue change if needed and on Saturdays has "1950's and swing dancing night". I have a massive fetish for red lipstick and those cute dress from that style so I enjoy the place.

I pulled at club TOP, but it was nothing more then luck and a end of the night drunk bang. If you can dance then go for it but don't be afraid to change venues if it sucks when you get there. It won't get better later in the night.

Pub Parliament is great for talking to girls because all the guys stay inside and the girls mostly sit outside. It's bizarre how horrible guys here are at game. This is a block from congress square and close to many of the other bars and clubs in the city center area.

Bacchus is no more! Sorry Mixx! Apparently it's now "The Skeleton Bar" but the under 25 crowd still goes there. I planned on going there and kept getting distracted or met up with a girl prior and had plans change. I'll update this post with how it is next time I get to Ljubljana which should be soon.

Mixx was right, the men here are all bark and no bite. While I was able to speak and make friends with a few, they are very passive in regards to body language. I made a goal to stare down any male who looked at me aggressively which was hilarious because every single one of them submissively looked away quickly. The funniest one was when I approached 2 girls and had a college aged guy walk up to the group and shoo me away with his hands. I'm currently hitting clubs only when searching for a bang; my fondness for clubbing diminished recently.

Also here, most of guys can get a girlfriend without being Jersey shore type of a guy. Therefore, it is very easy to move around the entire country from its capital, Ljubljana - pronounced "lub-li-ana". From there, you can pretty much drive in very modern, and very safe roads/highways for some jaw-dropping, natural beauty and scenery no matter what direction you go.

Slovenia has it all, from incredible nature trails, to modern ski resorts, to adventures in the wild forests, to elegant vineyards for wine tasting getaways, and great golf resorts. It's amazing how such a small country offers so much.

Getting Around Slovenia:

I would strongly recommend renting a Car from Avis/Hertz/Budget or any major car rental company found in US. Public transportation is available, but I had a private rental car, so I cannot say much about it. However, it was critical to have a car ready to go as this proved valuable when hunting local women to taste.

Slovenia is a young country, and I mean that literally! Ljubljana is a University city, and EVERYTHING evolves around student life and activities.

Mistake #1: I had no idea that Slovenia focuses its life so much on University student life, to the point of making its holidays, tourist season around the University schedules. In other words, when the school year ends, students LEAVE Ljubljana and go party, or visit friends in other countries, especially Croatia and Spain. AVOID visiting Slovenia from June, July, August and Sept. IT IS A GHOST-TOWN and nobody is around. I arrived at the beginning of Sept. not knowing this, and was incredibly disappointed my very first week, then I started making friends and getting advice on where to go (Croatia seemed to be the spot).


Austria, Italy, Croatia are all within 2 hours or less (driving) of Slovenia - which means you can knock out all of these countries in 1 shot!

During summer months (July-Sept) 90% of Slovenias single women go on vacation to either Croatia, Romania, Cuba, or Spain - leaving very few targets to swoop behind during this season.


Swooping Local Slovenian women, and getting them in to bed:

Ok, let's talk about these young slovenian women eager to fuck your brains out if you say the right things. Let me describe Slovenian women from what I experienced so you can calibrate your game accordingly if planning on bangin here. Slovenian women are very sexy, and most women kinda look like Pink, the American pop-singer. You will not find any tan/dark complexions anywhere. Where do I game women in Slovenia Mixx?

There are several venues in Slovenia to game women, you will find that the easiest women to get into bed are the ones that are under 30 years of age! This leads me to.

Mistake #2:

If you are older than 35, and look your age, you can forget about bangin younger women - it seems to be a big brick wall that will cost you a notch!! I personally checked out this hostel myself to report on it - definitely recommended. It was very hip, trendy and you can smoke Marijuana (legally) in designated areas if that is your thing. It is actually in the alternative scene part of town called "metelkova". Its very interesting to see the goth freaky women walking around this place - very target rich!


Day Game spots:

1. BTC Shopping Mall

The best place to get a feel for Slovenia and its women is to head down to the mall of "BTC", it is actually a bunch of warehouse style places, and one big, modern mall with trendy shops. have fun here, this place was very target rich!

*** Slovenian men are VERY territorial, and you will get a lot of dirty looks, and stare downs when you are obviously not Slovenian. I guess nobody likes having a latin stud making their women wet.. Even while driving I got dirty looks from men at red lights while the girls in their back seat smiled at me.

Like any other city, night game is all about local restaurants, clubs (known as discos), and cafes.

Best Nightclub to pull young women under 25: Bacchus (anyone knows where this is)

Avoid a club called "TOP" - everyone will tell you it is the most happening nightspot around, well, it is, but it is a huge cockfest! I went on their best night, and men outnumber women about 7:1. I guess their meaning of happening is how many people are in the club, not how target rich it is. I would see the bouncers letting groups of men of 10 come in at a shot...WTF! I asked if it was a gay club, and they were insulted by the question and ignored me. The women that were there were in the company of 4 sets or more with men the majority.

Summary:

Slovenia is a tough cookie to crack, women will first come off as cold, shy or distant. Keep in mind women are NOT used to guys approacing them except at a local nightclub. Most were freaked out by my approach. Also, they are very insecure about their English sklls and would rather shut you down, than try to talk to you - so, immediately compliment them on their English abilities to avoid a girl coming off as cold when she is just shy.

Slovenia will not disappoint with its very sexy, and beautiful young women just as curious about you, as you are about them....take a risk and visit...the women are waiting.

IMO A very underrated city on this forum is Vienna. As long as you are respectful, well dressed, and the opposite of the ugly American you can have a blast there. At least I did. Girls in Austria and Germany are not used to the cold approach. If you initiate the conversation, display alpha qualities without being a caveman you can do well. The woman will be curious regardless whether or not she is attracted to you. To answer my own question, I now have data on Izola. It's a very small town, not really a place to pickup. On the beaches around the town, which are a collection of rocks and asphalt, there are mostly families, though a few groups of girls to approach. I attempted one approach while I was there (I think tourists from elsewhere in the Balkans), and met an icy reception. Izola is really a boat town where Slovenians keep their yachts. The only reason to do Izola is if you want to go sailing, but there are many other places you could do that... Izola and several towns around there are pleasant to stroll through, however. They look a lot like Italy, although the people look more Russian and you can generally communicate fine with the locals in Russian. My cab driver and some of the hotel staff spoke better russian than english, and slovenian is a slavic language with many cognates.

I also did two nights in Ljubljana. I had the extreme misfortune of being there the day before a major futbol match, and so when I went out on Saturday night, at 1AM, there was roughly a 25:1 male to female ratio in the club I went to (forget the name). At that point, it was also mostly football fans, as it appears that the locals go out very late -- you might plan on arriving at the clubs between 1 and 2AM...

I did loads of day game for the first time in a long time in Ljubljana. My experience was different than Mixx's. Girls were very nice in virtually every interaction I had, but I never really got anywhere, though there were a few interactions where I could have pushed harder. Day game feels very inefficient to me relative to night game, but since I usually just day game naturally when I'm running errands, and have rarely ever walked around with the explicit purpose of day gaming, I'm not sure how the day gaming experience compares in Ljubljana, but my experience doing it there was quite wasteful.

There was also this pool a bit east of the city, called The Laguna if memory serves, which I heard from other travellers was awesome. I also went there, but as luck would have it, the day I went it rained, and there was some bike race which cut off the street to the pool, so that there were hardly any girls there... And, perhaps b/c they knew I was a foreigner and there was a futbol match, I believe they over-charged me some exorbitant entrance fee. Still, there were a few smoking hot girls there, and I was probably there on the worst day of summer, so it would be worth a try.

My second night -- a sunday -- my luck turned a bit better, as I hooked up with a tourist from a country in western europe whose flag I wanted. She had a boyfriend, and wouldn't put out though. No Slovenian flag for me. I'm going to have to be a bit more disciplined and methodical on my next trip...

I will be visiting Ljubjana in April for a week. Any have an update to this data sheet? or is everything still the same? Should I still avoid the club "TOP"?

Slovenian women are some of the most beautiful women I've come across, a lot of them have model-like bodies and faces, definitely better than the neighbouring countries. Surprisingly More central european than balkan looking.

I love that wild country. It still has elk and brown bears. The chalk streams near Postonja Caves are probably still full of huge, smart European grayling. Back in the day, Marshall Tito was a fly fisherman, and he had all those Yugoslavian streams patrolled by guys with rifles. The trout and grayling were amazingly large but not easy. I imagine those fish are still there, with their little army of wardens who protect them.

One day I accidentally killed an undersized trout. It was almost 30 cm but not quite. Unwisely, I kept it. If I had not had enough cash for the fine, my mistake probably would have got me a visit to a Slovenian jail.

When I go back there, it will be to fish. I will avoid the attitude of those Slovenian girls. Lots of pretty students from Moldova and Ukraine enjoy nature and the experience of being near rivers that comes when fishing.

Definitely avoid TOP though locals might recommend it. Also don't waste your time in Metelkova, unless you like low quality alternative chicks. The center of the city is compact and beautiful with a university, lots of cafés etc... good for daygame. Also good ratio of tourists and locals.

This is a country where I want to visit next but never had a chance to. What are the prices like? Is 2 weeks enough to see everywhere?

It's cheaper than Italy or other West EU countries. Ljubljana (especially center) and tourist hotspots have of course a bit inflated prices, but elsewhere if you have a monthly salary 1500 eur or more you can live a good middle class lifestyle.

Two weeks is plenty; you can visit the must-sees (Postojna cave, Bled, Piran, maybe some rafting in Soca river) and spend a week in Ljubljana, depending on what you like. Ljubljana is at the center of Slovenia so it's a good spot to drive anywhere with a car for one day visits, although roads can be crowded in the summer because of all the tourists (many headed to Croatia seaside).

If you are into festivals, during the summer you have several in Tolmin (by Soca river, near Italy) and a good one is "Pivo in cvetje" (beer and flowers) that Roosh mentioned, it's in July in Lasko town (good for hunting Slovenian girls as Ljubljana is filled with foreigners during the summer when university closes).
