When you think about "Red Flags", you're looking for things that are
- dangerous to your life, health (she might give you an STD, she might get you beat up or shot)
- dangerous to your liberty (I mean who hasn't dated a drug mule, drug user, or gangsta chick?)
- dangerous to your money (she is going to put you in positions where you have to spend money)
- dangerous to your reputation (being seen with a certain broad can kill your prospects - romantic and otherwise)
- dangerous to your sense of self (a chick can consume you with her drama)

And you want to know these things BEFORE you put your dick in her.

Finding out that she's been in drug rehab isn't something she typically blurts out between Appletinis. The fact that she has cheated on most of her ex-boyfriends isn't just gonna come out on its own. There are some red flags that have been mentioned that I want to second or expand upon. For one women with "skeletons in their closet", now this is kind of vague and can include a variety of things, but any woman with a checkered past that has had fucked up shit in it.

Women that were sexually abused should be high on the list of "skeletons in the closet", now I truly feel bad for victims of abuse, but this psychological trauma endured as a child often morphs into some kind of psychological or personality disorder as an adult. Women that have been molested are often completely fucked up and crazy in the head, which is a ticking time bomb if you get involved with them. I suspect my ex-GF who has borderline personality disorder was sexually abused as a child, and she's one sick, twisted, fucked up individual.

Other skeletons could be drug abuse or addiction, even if it was just a phase or she went to rehab, chances are she whored it up, did some fucked up shit, and hit rock bottom while doing drugs. In other words chicks with drug problems are damaged goods, I should know since I've dated them.

Kind of going off drug use, a major red flag are women that drink to the point of getting blacked out drunk. I know girls like this and not only are they putting themselves at risk of being date raped, but once they are blacked out they are not even conscious of what they are doing, which can lead to a whole grip of bad shit. I especially hate how a lot of modern American women try to use being "blacked out" as an excuse for their behavior. Like, "what I made out with that guy at the bar last night? Oh my God I don't even remember that, I was blacked out..."

Finally another one that I think was mentioned are girls that are constantly making new "BFFs" every couple months, only to have a falling out and then moving onto new "best friends". I've dated a couple chicks like this, where suddenly they'd meet a new girl and after a month they are "BFFs", only to rinse and repeat the cycle every couple months. A guy may wonder what this has to do with him and not think it's worth even thinking about, but if she's that impulsive and moves on that quickly in her relationships with her friends, then she won't think twice about rinse and repeating with you the object of her affection, until a new guy comes along to sweep her off her feet.

Paradoxically, I think the stuff you can see at a glance, or quickly, are the most efficient indicators to "stay away."

The hypothesis behind this is that personality is holographic, meaning the fundamental personality is expressed even in little things. Even tiny indicators should alert you to look for confirming patterns later. "Let's meet a C mall." What about b mall tomorrow instead." or worse, "Not sure, will text you later about it."

In women, to summarize, the largest road block to a good relationships is NON-COOPERATIVENESS.

It could be because she's too stupid to read the needs of others, so dedicated to her parents that you are just a financial appliance, too stoned, too religious, too ANYTHING.

But the WHY-- DOESN'T MATTER! Only the fact she is uncooperative for any reason.

I've given this a lot of thought. The number 1 red flag to me is attention whoring.

This is only for long-term relationships, though, since this is becoming such a common trait. Attention whoring is a trait bestowed upon females at birth. It takes a village to remove this original female sin. Unfortunately, we do a worse job today than past generations in eradicating this fatal disease.

By attention whoring, I mean how they respond to male attention. The absolute best girls, the true gems, are the hot girls that are completely unimpressed by male attention. It's just "natural" that they get approached, get told how beautiful they are, etc. I especially pay attention to how a girl describes male advances. It may seem paradoxical, because if she is consistently unimpressed and unflattered by male flirting, it might seem like she's got an insane ego. But the reality is, it shows that she understands she looks good, but her core self-esteem lies elsewhere. This takes truly good parenting, teaching the girl to understand how to look good and its importance, but that other factors are more important in establishing her identity.

You have to sniff out the bullshit though, because a lot of girls tell stories of male attention with casual disinterest. I've learned I can often smell out the difference between genuine and feigned disinterest. You can tell when a girl tells the story and it's a shot to her arm, and when it's not.

I'm also very anal with my time and I used to freak out on women when they were late or take it as some sort of personal affront when a business person was late to a meeting.

Now, I just let people know that I value my time and the train isn't waiting. I've left my wife at home when she's not ready and I regularly tell clients to re-book their appointments if they are 15 min behind.
