Sure, mass is good, but once you've got some more isn't needed. Being leaner is so much more important.

Gaining lean mass helps a lot. Especially if you're a skinny guy with a narrow face. Your bone structure does widen. Virtually everything you read from medical journals, or even doctor opinions will say no, but anecdotally, I've seen it first hand on myself and countless other friends.
Think of it like this: The overall GH boost that comes with weight lifting isn't spot specific. It will happen across your entire body, including your face. In my case it was a positive.
