Does getting ripped change your face?

Came in to check updates on this thread.

Saw discussion had turned to Steve Buscemi.

This thread makes me sort of jealous, because I am super slim (size 28 waist), so I will never see a dramatic facial restructuring unless I got super fat.

I will be checking my PMs weekly, so you can catch me there. I will not be posting.

I was at the barber today, and having such a long time to stare at my face, I realized how bulking up really made it look worse. Made me think of this thread.

If only you knew how bad things really are.

So you're telling me that you think Steve Buscemi fits the definition of "fit and lean"? Because I'm only talking about guys who are fit and lean, not guys who are skinny-fat with no fitness whatsoever. So I don't understand why you are using him as an example unless you think he meets that criteria.

I haven't seen him naked, have you? lol. But I am pretty sure he WAS lean and fit considering he was a FDNY firefighter before he went in acting.
But he seems to MAYBE still be in shape..again he is over 50 so don't expect a 6 pack and no one doesn't need a 6 pack to be lean. Based on his age , he is considered lean if he is at 15% bf. No one isn't going to show abs until about 10% or even less for some.

I am 12-13%..it is considered lean for my age but no 6 pack..after 40 it is almost impossible to cut that low and eat well.

As for ALL guys being lean and fit all looking handsome..that makes no sense. For you yeah since your a guy they might look alright and you think they are handsome but you aren't a girl and only women know what faces they attract to and they aren't even consistant with that. Women unlike guys are all over the place with whom they attract to.

According to forum members on bodybuilding.com who are very built many complain girls think they are ugly..so that debunks that theory.

I think some guys who have very small cheekbones that they might look a bit better with a fuller face. Depends on ones structure. That being said I think in your country(thailand?) guys can basically change their faces so no lost there lol.

PS--this is from a girls perspective, my wife. Steve teeth look bad but the main thing that makes him unattractive is that he has BUGGY eyes. He has very little depth to him, not deep set. These are the things that women notice but can't always articulate. Teeth is obvious and easier to point out.

Ehhh guys for Steve Buscemi discussion feel free to PM yourselves. This is getting gay...

Here are the accounts of some of the people from the thread WIA linked:

One stand out in particular:

Quote:Quote:

But my confidence and self image is so fucked because of relentless teasing. I cannot approach women so I’m 24 and have still never had a girlfriend, sex, anything at all. The one girl that did go out with me for a month(I can’t really count that as a relationship) parted ways citing the following: “You’re too normal,” “you’re the first person that’s ever been nice and not abusive to me,” “nothing gets you mad,” “I don’t deserve someone like you, you’re the type of guy that dates like beauty queens, not girls like me.” I didn’t even know how to respond to that.

Fuck me, right? That was an even bigger blow and that happened just in the past few months. Didn’t help one damn bit. I go from “not good enough” to “too good”. I don’t think so, but apparently so according to that one girl.

His transformation. He looks an 8 from the picture: [Image: SuLSG.jpg]

TL;DR: game beat good looks, although good looks certainly help [Image: smiley_beat_dead_horse2.gif]

Jesus men if you have the willpower to transform yourself like that how hard could it be to just get out there and start approaching???????? [Image: facepalm3.gif]

EDIT: HOLY TERRA A girl went from this: [Image: 2cqiQ.jpg]

To this: [Image: LcswF.jpg]

And this is what she says:

Quote:Quote:

In the time I was ignored I developed a personality and character rather than rely on my good looks. I love that I became who I am by my skills and interests rather than my looks and attention. I’m not trying to say good-looking people don’t have that, not at all, but I believe it has made me a stronger person with more admirable qualities.
EDIT: Dating is definitely not easier because guys still don’t ask me out. I’m assuming they still see the fat me because I’m still completely ignored in school still (senior year with the same kids). Then again… I’m awkward as fuck so maybe that’s why.

I would bang her ass up and down just for her awesome personality!!!!

Guys, next time you see a hottie, fucking hit on her. She might well have been a bloated frog. My girlfriend used to be one and is still fucking shy despite looking really cute.

Some crazy transformations in this thread. I keep going back and forth between bulking our leaning out a few weeks first, this might have been the tipping point

Fatsuit for some kind of role - he would likely look worse if he packed on so many pounds. He was all slim in April.

Does getting ripped change your face?

I've gone from 15% to 12% BF this year and just started to noticed a change in my face. I'll never have good facial genetics but it feels great to see a real improvement.

Big difference from 15% > 10%?

Seems to depend on the person also. Some have lean faces at 20%, others have a bloated one with double chin.

Not really, but it works out that way. I don't eat bread or wheat products, just rice and potatoes. I also do IF (8 hour daily eating window) about 5 days a week and go to the gym 5-6 days a week.

Some amazing transformations there but I don't think everyone should focus that much on getting ripped. Their faces look much better because they were fat before. If you have a decent amount of muscle and have quite a low body fat %, you're not going to see amazing differences when going below 10%. And in the long run, it's not quite sustainable. So I would rather focus on building muscle instead of getting ripped. The latter looks ridiculous without mass. And it's not really noticeable except if you're not wearing shirts.

Losing weight definitely changes your face in a good way. When I lost weight down from 108kg to 92kg, my face went from ugly to mildly attractive. I found myself catching my reflection in the bus window and thinking, 'what the hell!'.

There's definitely a correlation, but I wonder if testosterone plays a role or if it's all about body fat %. A friend's wife that hadn't seen me in 5 years recently commented that I looked so much different than I did 5 years ago and told me that I have a chiseled jaw that I didn't have back then. Everything about me was more or less the same 5 years ago, but one major thing is that I switched to a much better work out routine, and added squats and deadlifts which I never did before, plus improved my nutrition and supplements. Perhaps this new "chiseled jaw" that I've acquired over the past 5 years may be due to an improvement of my muscle to body fat ratio, but I do believe that improvements in my gym, doing the proper lifts, and diet/nutrition have increased my testosterone overall, and I've alway thought that chiseled jaw was typically a characteristic of high-t male. Then again I'm in my early-thirities and think a lot of guys don't really come into their look until their late twenties or older.

To to the OP, I am sure it does, and I don't believe it's completely to do with fat loss either.
My face definitely became more masculinised once I started doing weights a year ago.

My theory, as strange as it may sound is that when your gurning with teeth bared and veins popping out your head to push out those last reps, your facial muscles are being worked too.

And so along with your body becoming more jacked, so does your face at the same time.

There is probably increase in testosterone levels from the weightlifting which may also have an androgenising effect on your facial features too.

From Channing Tatum:

To Channing Potatum:

Look at the difference in jawline.

Vast majority of people will have better looking face at lower percentage of body fat, but that doesn't mean that being lean is sufficient for being good looking. Bodybuilding/fitness competitions are full of facially ugly guys.
