Put up flyers offering gutter cleaning services, raking leaves, any kind of landscaping you are physically able.

Guess it's a dick move to ask without giving my own answer:

When I needed quick cash, I registered an eLance account and signed up to bid on gigs (less than $15 to start bidding).

If you got nothing else going for you, skill-wise, at least you can type (as distinct from "write") articles for content marketers. Apply to the jobs that offer regular work: "$3 for 500 words, as many articles as you can manage in a day."

No fun, but if you keep at it all day, you can pretty easily clear $150 or more. Even at painfully low rates ($3 for 500 words, as above, is very realistic) you can net $15+ an hour, which is ~ twice minimum wage. A lot of cheapo gigs will offer a 20-40% raise after a week or two, once you've proven you're at least semi-literate.

This is especially useful for those who need cash now, since most guys on eLance pay weekly, if not daily.

Appreciate the reply, but I doubt this gets you $1000 in 30 days. If you start applying today and figure two weeks lag time to start a job, and then assume minimum wage (~$8) and 40 hours per week, you're at about $640 after a month.

Also - to be really clear - I'm not actually hard up for cash right this moment. I just suspect guys on here have info on some quick hustles, and curious to hear about them (at least from those willing to share).

Where are you located? Canvassing jobs are great option for quick cash, most pay every week too.

The jobs can be soul-sucking, but you usually make $10+ an hour. A lot offer bonuses too. So you could potentially earn $400-$600+ a week, or $1,600 to $2,400+ a month.

Personally I've met cats pulling in $50,000+ a year from this, but shitty way to live. In the meantime you could work on side hustles. Earning online or selling shit on Craigslist.

1,000$ is the average but you can get one lower or higher and it doesnt atterr what kind of car you drive. As long as it runs.

I wouldn't suggest doing this though unless you knew you could pay it back, or even just the monthly interest really.

I was going to say Elance as well - but not at $3 for 500 words. There's no reason you can't come out of the gate $3 per 100 words at the bare minimum, and 30 days is plenty enough time to rack up $1000 there. I've done it myself many times - I've seen other guys do it.

I have (and have done) a few gigs that could (conceivably) get you that amount without any starting cash or skills:
1) Go on as many freelance sites as you can and sell the steady but unglamorous content work-review writing, proofreading, copywriting/ghostwriting, and anything else you can do that someone would pay for.
2) Get on Ebay, sell your books, CDs, spare clothing, jewellery,
3) Go to agencies offering casual work- labouring, waitering, any day-work, and to Craigslist for any odd jobs.
4) Go out early in the morning (like, 5.00am) and pick up cans until you have a garbage bag full of them. Take them to a scrap metal place at the end of a week and see what you get.
5)Go to a local college or university campus and put up flyers offering to edit essays and dissertations/punch up CVs and covering letters for those who are graduating/ghostwrite essays
