Feminists Mad About Marvel T-Shirts

Soon, feminists will complain about the male/female dynamic in animals.

This week, Thor, one of Marvel’s principal characters, became a woman. But while one aspect of the superhero universe is becoming more diverse, another is causing controversy. Recently, multiple T-shirts displaying blatantly sexist messages have surfaced and are sparking indignation across social media platforms.

Blogger PJ Curtis discovered a t-shirt in the junior’s section of Walmart that reads, “Training to be Batman’s wife,” in purple lettering with a pink Batman logo. “The idea that you should settle for being married to or sleeping with someone awesome instead of being the awesome person is insulting,” she wrote on her blog PJ Says. “This just happens to be aimed at a young girl. I resent the idea that she should “train” to be so Batman’s wife.” Another tee from DC Entertainment, which was spotted by Tumblr user DC Women Kicking Ass, shows Superman holding Wonder Woman in his arms with the caption, “Score! Superman does it again!”

Totally unrealistic. How far do these marriage standards have to go before they're shunned by society? The Batman will never settle down.

To make the feminist foolishness even greater, feminists are assuming that "Batman's wife" must mean the docile housewife who waits for him with dinner when he returns from fighting crime, and the thought outrages them. It never occurs to them that she could also be an equal partner to him who accompanies him everywhere and shares responsibilities as a sassy independent woman.

It's a Freudian slip. They know exactly where their place is.

The world would be a better place if these people were to be removed from social media platforms.

Really? I stopped reading after they said "Marvel"...Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman are all from DC Comics.

As a massive nerd, I would like to point out that these are DC t-shirts, not Marvel.

Big difference.

Why did Captain America replace Superman on the Avengers?

Wait I thought Green Lantern was gay...now Spiderman too? Maybe they are going out together or something. So hard to keep track of all this.

IMO RVF should summarily ban all viewings of Marvel Entertainment films going forward (especially after that last stupid Winter Soldier one). Strangely, that would put us in the same camp as the Feminists on this issue (for completely different reasons).

It's just some kid named Miles Morales. I mean, it would suck for a gay Spiderman to exist, but I was worried that they were going to rewrite Peter Parker. That's not the case.

lol nice meme!

But seriously "Hail Hydra" in 2014??? Is that part of the real comics storyline? (I dunno)

The special effects were great and most fight scenes were pretty good, but the storyline was retarded. I expected something better but on pure action it was not bad - can agree with that. i just wanted more than another stupid Transformers type plot I guess.

I wouldn't be suprised if the next Marvel 'villain' is some uber-masculine guy who's nefariously trying to defend what's left of men's rights (he's a billionaire who's not on board with gay marriage AND he doesn't believe in rape culture!!) so all the LGBT superheroes have to gang up on him to save the world....seems like that's where we're headed.

Yea the plot was akin to what went down in the ultimate series. Bucky is essentially suppose to take up the reins of becoming captain America at some point.

My only gripe with the movie is that Hugo Weaving does not ever want to play the Red skull again, and that killing off a character then bring him back in the movie an hour and a half later is stupid. Like I said though I thought the movie was great, better than the first film.
