Buzzfeed analysis of the lying Greg Kelly rape accuser (with glamour shot)

WARNING: This is a long fisk. I haven't done one of these in a while but I promise you will get a few laughs out of it.

From Buzzfeed:

She Accused A TV Anchor Of Rape And Got Dragged Through The Tabloids

An attractive 29 year old paralegal (great career path for a 29 year old) approached a local TV reporter who happened to be the police commissioner's son. Despite the fact that they were both seeing other people, they exchanged sexually charged texts for a few days and met up for drinks. She claims she doesn't remember anything after three drinks and that he raped her in her office. It appears she had the normal reaction a woman should have after getting drunk and cheating on her boyfriend: shame, embarrassment, and disgust. But after chatting with her boyfriend, sister, a couple of nuns, and her parents, she was convinced she was raped. She got pregnant and had an abortion (very Catholic of her). The police dropped the charges due to lack of evidence.

Buzzfeed totally buries the lede in this piece. When I started reading it I could see how the woman might have been raped despite lack of evidence, but by the end of the piece I was like
[Image: fuckthat2.gif]

Burying the lede is common in leftist media. They know that people don't read entire articles, so they put the leftist narrative first and then put the juicy facts that discredit the narrative at the end.

One would think she would let this blow over and keep her head down due to the shamefulness of the incident, but in 2014 we all aspire to be victims and feel the need to trumpet our tales of woe far and wide. What good is being raped if you can't have a story written about how you are a "strong woman," featuring multiple glamour shot?

Glamour shot one

Some highlights:

Quote:Quote:

[Maria] Di Toro grew up in a family of strong women and animal lovers.

[Image: rolleyes.gif] lol fucking puff piece alert

Quote:Quote:

In October 2011, Di Toro was a 29-year-old paralegal. She would later be described in the media as an aspiring model-actress; according to Di Toro, modeling was more of a hobby she picked up with her twin sister than a serious ambition.

Side-note, how much debt did she take on to become a "model"/paralegal?

Quote:Quote:

She had a boyfriend, Francis Laros, then a 48-year-old South African runner, sailor, and New York University math student...heir relationship, Laros said, had always been “goofy as hell.”

[Image: rolleyes.gif] Goofy as hell. Wow, such respect for the boyfriend.

Quote:Quote:

Before joining Good Day New York in 2008, Greg Kelly was a co-anchor of the Fox & Friends Weekend and a national correspondent who covered the White House and the Iraq War.

Quote:Quote:

Di Toro and Kelly met on Third Avenue, near her apartment in Manhattan’s Kips Bay neighborhood, she said. Di Toro was walking her dog when she stopped Kelly to say she recognized him, and that he was better looking in person than on TV. Kelly began walking with her and making small talk. According to Di Toro, Kelly told her about an upcoming presentation at Baruch College that he was nervous about. Outside Di Toro’s apartment, he asked for her phone number, she said. He gave her a Baruch College T-shirt he was carrying, and they said good-bye.

Very normal behavior for a woman with a boyfriend, obviously.

Quote:Quote:

Di Toro’s sister Angela came to her apartment later that day. When Di Toro told her about meeting Kelly, Angela posted on Facebook that Kelly had asked her sister out.

Very normal behavior for a family of strong women, not attention whoring at all, letting the world know that your taken sister has been asked out by a local celebrity and eligible bachelor.

Quote:Quote:

They began talking — “casual, G-rated stuff,” Di Toro said. As their texts continued, they got more “personal and flirtatious.”
The following Friday, Kelly called Di Toro at her office, she said. It was then when Kelly allegedly asked what her favorite sexual position was. She told him, and asked for his. This was the beginning of their conversations becoming more “casual, trusting, and consensually explicit,” Di Toro said.

A strong taken woman can have sexual conversations with local eligible bachelors, what do you want to keep women barefoot and in the kitchen, BIGOT?

They agreed to meet at a bar.

Quote:Quote:

Before she left, Di Toro called Laros (the boyfriend) to cancel plans with him, saying she was getting drinks with a girlfriend.

Just a little white lie, surely nothing will happen on this date, it is more of a networking date where they will further discuss sexual positions and tips and tricks that she can try out on the ol' boyfriend to liven up the sex life.

Quote:Quote:

Their conversation, Di Toro said, gradually became “more explicit, sexual, and filled with admissions of fetishes and sexual experiences.” [Image: lol.gif] Di Toro bought the third round, but after taking only two sips, she felt suddenly and strongly impaired, she said.[Image: womanhamster.gif] They left the bar.

Then, the violation:

Quote:Quote:

Di Toro can’t remember much after that, she said, but she distinctly recalls asking Kelly to get her a cookie during the half-mile walk to her firm. She remembers “clips of visions” of the sidewalk, front of her office, and lobby. She remembers him pushing her against a building and kissing her, she said. She remembers being inside the office, looking up, and seeing his bare shoulders and blurred face, she said. She remembers Kelly allegedly saying “get up, get up, get up” but not being able to get up. It was still sunlight. She remembers seeing him clothed, sitting on a chair, looking at his phone and asking if she was on the pill, she said. (She said she told him no; Laros had a vasectomy.) She remembers waking up alone, rolling over, and vomiting. It was dark outside. She remembers her bra was unhooked but still on. She remembers vomiting more and trying to clean up the office floor. She remembers being in her living room and lying down, but she doesn’t remember how she got back to her apartment. She remembers Laros coming over later that night; he was worried and suspicious because he hadn’t heard from her in hours, she said. Di Toro told him she didn’t want to talk about it.

Buzzfeed buries the police evidence much later on in the piece that suggests she might not have been as inebriated as she "remembered." [Image: wink.gif]

Quote:Quote:

“The only way to reconstruct this thing when a witness can’t is to find this evidence and take it apart,” Fairstein said. Under New York state law, prosecutors would have to prove Di Toro’s level of impairment led to an incapacity to consent. Fairstein said she recalled a “signed bar receipt” as a critical piece of evidence.

“The level of impairment literally has to be far more extreme than paying a bill, signing her name,” Fairstein said. The Post reported that investigators had surveillance video showing Di Toro at her office, walking “on her own two feet, without swaying.”

“If she walked from the bar to the office building, if she paid the bill for the third drink — this is the way the prosecutor has to measure impairment or not,” Fairstein said. “Think about how impaired you have to be to get to the wrong floor. She knew where her office was. She didn’t go to the Empire State Building.”

Di Toro said she doesn’t remember entering her office building; she has a brief “vision” [Image: lol.gif] of a security guard in the lobby, but because he knew her and because she was at her office earlier in the day, he could have let her in without the normally required key card, she said.

“Just because she doesn’t remember she consented doesn’t mean she didn’t consent,” Fairstein said. “How do you ask us, the prosecutors, or a jury, to reconstruct what a witness might not remember?”

Notice the lying language this woman uses. She is having more "visions" than a seance in the Louisiana bayou. Not all is lost, there are still adults working in the NYPD, thank God.

Quote:Quote:

Laros began “piecing things together” after seeing rug burns on Di Toro’s knees, she said. (lol at her being raped, on her knees sucking his cock, obviously rape) They spent hours talking and arguing and going through their phones to figure out exactly what happened, she said. Di Toro said she hadn’t told Laros everything at this point, including her initial attraction to Kelly. But bit by bit, she eventually admitted all that she remembered. Laros told her he forgave her. He also told her that he believed she did not consent to sex and was raped — something Di Toro didn’t immediately accept.

The faggot boyfriend has put on his Sherlock Holmes hat and he is going to solve the case! She might think she made bad decisions and probably consented, but she should stop being a weak oppressed woman and remember she is STRONG. She doesn't need to feel humiliated and embarrassed, she can hold her head high because she was obviously raped!

Quote:Quote:

A few days later, she told her best friend and twin sister, Angela, about her night with Kelly.

“The first words out of my mouth were, ‘So, he raped you?’” Angela later said. Di Toro still didn’t believe it.

Well, who are you going to believe, your own lying conscience, or those closest to you saying, YOU GO GIRL, YOU WAS RAPED!

Quote:Quote:

On Monday, Columbus Day, Kelly called Di Toro in the late morning, she said, and they talked about how drunk they both were on Saturday. He asked if she had a good time, Di Toro said, and she replied that she didn’t remember. He allegedly told her some graphic details, including ejaculating on her chest and trying to put his penis down her throat, but that she wasn’t “having any of it.” According to Di Toro, Kelly asked if she wanted to “fuck again,” and she “croaked out, ‘Yeah, sure.’”

Normally, when strong woman cheat on their boyfriend/are raped they agree to moar sex with the rapist.

Quote:Quote:

She texted her sisters and mother to say she was pretty sure she and Laros were breaking up — though they didn’t--though they didn’t--though they didn’t — and that she didn’t want to talk.

Quote:Quote:

Two days later, Di Toro talked to Greg Kelly on the phone again; she told him that Laros knew everything and that her world “had been turned upside down.” She asked if he ejaculated inside her, and he allegedly said no. She asked if he put something in her drink, and he said he was uncomfortable with her questions and didn’t like where the conversation was going.

Sounds like Kelly saw where this was headed and saw he was dealing with a crazy. Not sure he made the best decision to cut off all contact at this point.

Quote:Quote:

Two days later, Di Toro said, Laros texted Greg Kelly. “I just wanted to scare him — tell him that it’s up, that now his family knows,” Laros said. “I said, ‘I told your father that he should ask you about the events of that day that led to you violating Maria. Perhaps if you were half the man your father was, you may have protected her instead of taking advantage of her.’”

Poor boyfriend, coming in on his trusty steed and shining armor to white knight. I actually feel bad for this boyfriend, we once had a civilization where men should be chivalrous to women, but chivalry required standards of behavior from women that did not involve coming on to local celebrities, lying to boyfriends, sexually charged conversations over copious amounts of alcohol, and anonymous, casual sex.

Quote:Quote:

Around this time, Di Toro visited the Sisters of Life visitation mission on the Upper East Side. Di Toro said she loved nuns, having spent years in Catholic school. Like Laros and her twin sister, Di Toro said, the nuns there told her she was raped.

Quote:Quote:

Over the next few days, Di Toro said she texted Kelly about three more times, telling him that she was going to a clinic to confirm the pregnancy, that she had an appointment for an abortion, and that she would keep updating him until “all was taken care of.” Kelly didn’t respond.

I like, TOTALLY LOVE NUNS, they are so cute and adorbs! TOTALLY going to go visit the nuns before I have my abortion!!!!!

Quote:Quote:

“I didn’t realize I was raped … I didn’t realize this is not how men treat women.”

She swallowed [Image: wink.gif] years of propaganda telling her it is perfectly normal to guzzle alcohol and have casual rough sex with powerful, Christian Grey types.

Quote:Quote:

When Di Toro identified herself as a rape victim to law enforcement that night, repeatedly telling her story, “it felt good, each and every time.”

Perfectly normal behavior for rape victims. Real rape victims always feel so good retelling their story.

Quote:Quote:

A reporter who visited Di Toro’s mother’s house in Port Washington, Long Island, was turned away at the “visibly angry” woman. Di Toro’s mother reportedly said she would call the police, who “in this town, do what they’re supposed to do.”

Side note - Long Island Italians are incredibly clannish. They will always believe their family and stand beside their family members, especially their precious daughters.

Quote:Quote:

Di Toro’s conversations with Kelly after their encounter also worked against her. Di Toro didn’t preserve any of her text messages to and from Kelly — both before and after Oct. 8 — which DA investigators photographed. But one anonymous source told the Daily News that after the encounter, they exchanged texts about “doing it again.” The Post reported that there were 17 messages exchanged after their encounter, with a source characterizing them as “steamy.”

Were they? “I can’t imagine being in that state of mind,” Di Toro said. Because she didn’t keep the messages and can’t recall her exact phrasing, she’s hesitant to give a hard denial. [LIAR LIAR LIAR LIAR LIAR LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE] She remembers, for instance, telling Kelly she believed he was “good” and urging him to meet and talk about what happened between them that night.

Buzzfeed buried the interesting items deep in the piece. They buried the lede to portray Di Toro in a sympathetic light. They know that your average moron or SJW (redundant) will only read the first half of the article before Tweeting furiously.

Quote:Quote:

More than two years later, when Di Toro considers the reaction to her case, she said she’s struck by what she perceived to be a lack of female support — from online commenters to women in her family. One female cousin, she said, remarked on how “obvious” it was that Di Toro “wanted it.”

Sounds like some of her family members are old school Italians who are not naive about what happens when boys and girls flirt and drink alcohol.

Quote:Quote:

There were women Di Toro went to high school with who called and wrote to offer their support, and media bloggers who criticized the Post for identifying her. But as time went on, Di Toro said, she “started to see an ugly side,” particularly at work. Reporters were outside her office daily while the investigation was unfolding, so Di Toro was offered administrative leave. When she came back a month later, her co-workers — especially the women, she said — didn’t try to hide their opinions of her, Di Toro said. She said she was told she “made this place horrible.” She was called “disgusting.” She returned to a backlog of work, she said, and when her supervisor asked a female assistant to help Di Toro, the assistant refused, Di Toro said.

Take comfort in the fact that a lot of women were not afraid to shame this dumbass woman. This is how a healthy society works - woman police each other's behavior with a minimum of male involvement. Feminism, on the other hand, tells women they are all on TEAM WOMEN and they should band together to make excuses for each other.

Quote:Quote:

Linda Fairstein, who served as the DA’s sex crimes unit chief for 26 years until retiring in 2002, told BuzzFeed that she trained Bashford. Based on her conversations with people with knowledge of the investigation, Fairstein said she doesn’t “believe that there was any sign of inability to say no.”
...
“Not every bad sexual encounter is rape,” Fairstein told BuzzFeed. “People make mistakes. Men do. Women do.” That’s how Di Toro felt too, she said, before she knew what it’s like to identify as a survivor and be called a liar for it.

And in the end, the Don Quixote boyfriend never learns:

Quote:Quote:

Francis Laros, for his part, may be patient and forgiving — not quite “rugged,” as the Daily News called him, or even the type to raise his voice. But he does have a kind of justice-demanding quiet furor when it comes to Kelly and the tabloids.

“I would like the Kelly family for the rest of their lives to cringe at the word ‘rape,’ at the name ‘Maria,’ the same way the Clintons have to cringe every time they heard the word ‘Monica,’” he said.

Laros and Di Toro are still together. He said he still struggles with the image of Di Toro “comatose” on the floor of her office — something he doesn’t ever bring up to her.

In a healthy society this woman would be held up by mothers and grandmothers as a cautionary tale of hookup culture, casual sex, and excessive alcohol. But in reality it will just be more fodder for feminists and SJWs to use in their frantic effort to tear down basic standards of civilization.

Keep in mind, that the NY police were still smarting from the bungled rape accusation against Dominique Strauss Kahn. Between that and the accused being a celebrity and the commisioner's son, there was a lot of force behind being extra suspect of this woman.

Great writeup, I laughed several times.

Edit: Also, this is not garden variety white knighting - it's ego preserving white knighting. "If he raped her, she didn't cheat on me - she didn't CHOOSE to have sex with another man because I wasn't enough for her - she was FORCED to fuck another man."

I'll break the date night down.

DiToro: "Fuck me! Fuck me! You're so good TV man!"

Stumbles home late and drunk.

Laros, who has been calling every two minutes finally sprints to her place. Finds her at the beginning of a hangover, she acts like its way worse. He can't believe his princess-porcelian doll-angel would willingly get smashed. Someone did this to her!

She feels a tad guilty. Claims rape.

I feel sorry for the sheep commenters, they have no discernment or any sense. Questioning a dubious story doesn't constitute to rape culture. News flash: Women lie, like a lot.

Also lol at David Lee's comment:
Quote:Quote:

Yes, false accusations are so rare that it happened to me... twice.

Then there's another reasonable commenter:
Quote:Quote:

Angelene Beauchamp Drunk, so she says. Put something in her drink, so she says. What you're not understanding is that you can't look at things in a personal way. More women falsely accuse men of rape than most women would like to admit, but that really is beside the point. I never said she was lying, I have no idea. But you're only looking at one side of the story and automatically taking her word that these were the exact sequence of events that took place. There is absolutely no evidence from what I can see aside from her word and her being pregnant, which doesn't mean that she was raped, it just meant that she had sex. I really don't know if she was BUT people need to stop acting like with every accusation of rape, we should only listen to and take seriously the 'victim's' side of the story. There are two sides to every story. Innocent until proven guilty. It has nothing to do with being a rape apologist, it has to do with looking at a situation with logic instead of emotion.

of course this woman didn't know she was dealing with nuts:
Quote:Quote:

I am taking her side for the simple fact that rape victims are treated like shit in this country.

That has nothing to do with anything.

Also another woman found plot holes in her story:
Quote:Quote:

Her so called "blackout" is what is making her look worse because she remembers doing things.

Nice breakdown.

I think a key detail is the fact that they had 17 "steamy" texts after this so-called "rape". You are absolutely correct that Kelly probably didn't play followup game perfectly, but you can't blame him after he sensed the crazy coming from this bitch.

Clearly she wanted more but was conflicted with some degree of guilt and embarrassment. A woman needs to feel okay about what she's doing, even if it's wrong, and the only way she could have felt that way is with a continuing affair with Kelly and some reassurance from him.

Here's the bf simp:

[Image: article-2654253-1EA4549300000578-660_634x632.jpg]

Also, one small technical detail:
She probably didn't get rugburn from sucking cock on her knees. More likely she was on all fours getting pounded from behind.

Seeing as how they were in her office, there was no bed nearby so she gave him the official tour; in her chair, on her desk, on the counter, before she finally submitted like a slut and bent over for him on the floor with her ass in the air.

You know she loved every minute of it.

"...so I gave her an STD, and she STILL wanted to bang me."

Awesome writeup.

Also a good cautionary tale.. Of course it's hard to identify crazy before you stick your dick in it, but this also will make me more cautious about girls with boyfriends... Would this rape accusation have happened if she were single? Of course not. She'd have no one to answer to or lie to and she'd be coming back for more rugburned knees.

It's telling that the women in her office didn't support her at all-reading between the lines I would guess that they knew well what a lying, backstabbing, manipulative bitch she was from working with her and didn't believe her from the start.

Fame is a double edged sword for men; it gets them a lot of quick pussy but it also makes them a juicy target for sociopaths and crazies

In my experience New York women are the biggest sluts who act as if they aren't.

I went to college with a lot of NYers, and they all have boyfriends, usually a few years older, either out of school or back home. And they suck dick and get fucked like there is no tomorrow.

I remember being at a party, I met a girl, very cute, ended up talking to her for a while. She had a 'serious' boyfriend back home. I had a girlfriend at the time, so thought nothing of it. Saw her next night at party, ended up banging her with the force of a thousand suns (I read that on this site, and use that a lot IRL, so credit to whoever I stole that from). Next time I saw her, she acted like it never happened. I wasn't hurt or anything, but it was shocking how it was no big deal to her. I ended up consistently banging one of her sorority sisters, and when I'd leave in the morning, I wasn't the only guy leaving the sorority house early in the morning. I'd overhear them talk about it, and the indifference they showed to their boyfriends was startling.

I know I had a girlfriend at the time so who am I to say anything, but I didn't act as if I wasn't up to no good. These women presented themselves as good people, marriage material, who are blunt and tell it like it is. They were anything but. The rationalization hamster in NY women is off the charts.

Oh, and one more...

Take a guess what would have happened if the accused had been just
another black guy.

This kind of allegation is extremely damaging to someone that has any high profile job. Not only did it fuck Greg Kelly's reputation but it screws with all of his co-workers and the TV station, which of course impacts many other people down to the janitors.

Fake rape allegations should be treated the same way as if someone calls in a fake bomb threat, with prison time. The only crime here is she can keep living her life as if nothing happened.

It is now publicly known in NYC that the allegation was fake. That Buzzfeed would publish the story as if a crime in fact occurred is appalling.

I took a look at some of the other articles this Buzzfeed "staff" writer has published:
http://www.buzzfeed.com/jtes

12 stories just about photographer Terry Richardson in the past 10 months. How would Jessica Testa feel if Return of Kings had a story about her more than once a month? Just a random reporter doing her job? Possibly not, there is even a New York Magazine article about her violating the privacy of rape victims:

Buzzfeed is the fucking cesspool of the internet, I'm amazed they even get away with some of the shit they publish.

The top comment talks about "victim-blaming", is she that naive? The woman was pretty open about her intent, she's just pissed she got caught in her lie.

I'm skeptical about the whole pregnancy thing too. It definitely could have been his, but why flush it out then? Waiting 4-months to decide that you've been raped is bullshit too, but I guess some women need to always need to have that card in their back pocket for when shit hits the fan.

For the boyfriend I guess if I was 48 and fucking a 29-year old I'd probably put up with some bullshit too though, wouldn't go as far as telling her that ONS was a rape, it looks they both fuck-ups.

This is another story that shows why I have my three first bang golden rules:

- No alcohol or drugs involved whatsoever if possible

- Get them to drive/walk to meet me at my place by themselves (sober enough to drive, came on their own terms, was able to leave at any time)

- Post bang text (usually within five minutes of them leaving)
'That was fun, I'm glad you enjoyed yourself'

***Also my lobby has a video camera that records constantly that I will usually walk them down to and kiss goodbye 'big smiles everyone'

You can't be too careful and I'd rather sleep well at night post bang.

If I am travelling or at a party spot then these are modified but for my run-of-the-mill home turf game I follow this 95% of the time.

Buzzfeed analysis of the lying Greg Kelly rape accuser (with glamour shot)

Keep in mind, that the NY police were still smarting from the bungled rape accusation against Dominique Strauss Kahn. Between that and the accused being a celebrity and the commisioner's son, there was a lot of force behind being extra suspect of this woman.

Great writeup, I laughed several times.

Edit: Also, this is not garden variety white knighting - it's ego preserving white knighting. "If he raped her, she didn't cheat on me - she didn't CHOOSE to have sex with another man because I wasn't enough for her - she was FORCED to fuck another man."

Yeah this case against Kelly was clearly bullshit, just on the post-coital texts alone, if not all the other evidence and circumstances. But a lot of ridiculous cases go to trial, I've seen them.

Just think, there are probably several hundred bogus rape cases like this winding their way through American courts right now.

Strauss-Kahn is another matter. In my opinion, he got a huge pass due to his power and position and politics. The actions of the maid (who had honestly worked for the hotel for 10+ years) immediately following the alleged rape were consistent with credibility. That plus the DNA evidence, and DSK's own admissions would have convicted him before most juries.

The DA grasped for a straw by dismissing the case because she allegedly lied on some immigration form for a relative of hers. Almost everybody lies about something, you can be confronted on the stand about it and the jury makes a judgment about whether lying on your taxes or on an immigration form means you're lying about a rape. If they dismissed every case where the victim had lied, they'd be few prosecutions. I've defended a guy charged with rape by a convicted check-kiting, shoplifting crack whore. And the guy did it, even though I got him off - at trial.

You're right, I can only imagine how old man Kelly the police commissioner would have reacted if they went forward against his son after dismissing a good case against DSK.
