Hey guys so I've dumped my girlfriend which was on Sunday the 21st. I went over to her place bumped into her as she was coming home from work we went upstairs I sat down on the bed she sat on my lap kissed me a few times I pulled back and it went like this:

Her: Whats wrong?

Me: I came here to end it

Her: Are you being serious?

Me: Yea (She gets off my lap sits next to me on the bed)

Her: You cant look past what happened? (We had already had 2 previous talks about it a couple days after it happened thats when she cried)

Me:...Nah

Her: So its over?

Me: Yea. Goodbye (I stood up wanted to say something but just said goodbye in the end)

She did not cry this time maybe cause it was so quick I was in her room less than 5 minutes. I went on a date the following Tuesday with a chick who seemed to be interviewing me for a potential husband so that was weird and she lives an hour away so I dont know if ill meet up with her again. Anyway tonite i felt really down then spoke to my dad and told him what happened and how i broke up and he said the most painful thing for me to hear. He said "You have to be tough and not like me" (because my mum left him). This broke my heart because dads the best bloke in my eyes and its sad to realise he cant give me any advice on women that i dont already know because of this site. So thats my rant and i hope you boys could give me advice how to improve myself and move forward. Cheers

Congratulations, you did the best thing for you, and while it may be sad that your dad is a great guy, being a great guy doesn't mean you don't make mistakes. How good it must be for him to recognize that you're making better decisions than him and he can be even prouder of you.

Women are not like men. Overall, when a man truly commits and has very strong feelings for a girl, those don't just go away easily.

A woman's feelings are much more variable and fleeting.

She may miss you but only for a moment.
