Pax Dickson gets his career... revoked.... because a statement he made has deemed him now ill-suited to do the role he was employed for.
How in the f*ck does this not apply in this case?

People will scrounge up anything to bitch about and call it social justice and then spin outrageous webs of female logic to justify it.

How funny. After I saw that original article in the Guardian, I just knew the hamster feminist Jessica Valenti was going to write something today in the paper about it. Now they have added ANOTHER feminist? I haven't gone to their website today. I think I am done reading the Guardian. I agree with the readers. It's peaked. I'm tired of dodging feminist articles on that there.

This is beyond the pale. One of my most favorite memories of childhood is watching Thomas on TV and then going to create new stories with my wooden Thomas track. I spent hours building new layouts, and then tearing it all down to build more. There are no depths to which statists won't sink to tarnish or destroy anything of meaning in civilization.

There are some interesting things about TTTE.
I think that it contains some of the purest and most beautiful animation ever filmed. The color palette of the animation is truly extraordinary -- especially the moist pale greens and the reds. Almost any frame washes the eye in a special calm beauty. I feel that it could only have been created in England and captures much of what is best and most childlike in the English spirit and in the deep and mellow moisture and greenery of the English countryside.
It is interesting to note that TTTE has an unparalleled and becalming effect on autistic kids who love it above and beyond any other thing in the world if they're exposed to it. It transfixes, becalms, and humanizes them. The following is a
good detailed summary, which of course cannot do full justice to the true beauty of the animation:
Quote:Quote:
Children on the autism spectrum associate with Thomas before any other childrens character (57%).
These children maintain their association with Thomas longer than for other characters, commonly two years longer than their typically developing siblings.
Around a third of parents consider that their children have an 'obsessive' relationship with Thomas.
Thomas serves an important role as a comfort blanket / friend in a friendless world for many children with autism.
Thomas can be a point of entry to the world of communication and learning.
For some children, Thomas can inspire previously unthinkable leaps of emotion, imagination and symbolic play.
Why Thomas?
Thomas seems to hold a particular fascination for a number of reasons:
The calm and clear narration which exaggerates and 'signposts' changes clearly.
The easy to follow storylines, where something usually goes wrong but it is resolved by the end of the episode.
The still background and scenery. (Children with autism can be easily distracted by detail and small changes either in sound or movement.)
The easily recognisable and bold colours.
The 'friendly' faces whose expressions are exaggerated and are set for some time and so can be understood. "Without doubt it is the faces on each engine which first attracted his interest. The expression on the faces never changes and he knows they won't talk back to him!"
The accuracy of the models. Most interestingly, copies of the licensed toys are recognised instantly as being less accurate by some children and are rejected as 'not being Thomas'. "They notice a difference in things very easily and so it is important that these little models are exactly the same as the ones on the telly."
The predictability of the roles played by different characters.
The suitability of Thomas for identification, listing and collecting, all common characteristics of many children with autistic traits.
Some years ago someone made a music video of KC and the Sunshine Band's "That's the Way I Like It" with TTTE sequences that was one of the sweetest and most touching things I've ever seen. I can't find it on youtube or anywhere else anymore, but would be grateful if anyone does.

We need to look at it from a different POV. On the cover this article has given its author the name she wants regardless of what is attached. Secondly she has gotten under the skin of enough people to warrant a stream of hate towards her.
These writers are doing to people what ROK does with its hot potato topics such as dating a girl with eating disorder.
The Guardian may lose readers of this but the click-bait is too tempting to ignore and thats what they care about. She will be given a green light to do more of this.

It's just classical light vs. darkness duality. While I don't think too highly of any newspaper or news sites, I'm still pretty surprised to see that The Guardian let this one through.

Only a lunatic SJW Guardian writer could find "in-your-face violence, sexism, racism and classism." in Thomas the fucking Tank Engine. These people are actually mentally ill in some way, surely. Imagine that being your mum?

Actually Thomas the Tank Engine was attacked quite early by the SJWs.
Most of the engines are males, the target audience was always boys, the characters yell and hate on each other and use physical violence in their disputes, it's politically incorrect (the boss is simply referred to as 'the fat controller' rather than his name), troublemakers get punished back into line, and the engines get praised based on merit ('a really useful engine').
For this reason, the 'live action' movie they created was a completely bastardized, politically corrected version that was nothing like the original. The 'fat controller' was only ever referred to as 'Sir Topham Hat' (which almost never happened in the original), and they arbitrarily changed the engine called James to a female (even though that engine had forever been thoroughly male).
They also removed references to
Christmas in one episode.
If you're up for a laugh, try reading a few paragraphs of an article called '
Thomas the Imperialist Tank Engine' by Jessica the Leftist Lunatic.

If one of us tried to come up with a false-flag article that would expose feminist writers to mockery and derision, I don't think we could written one that would have done better.
