You're right. If she hates catcalls, she has the right to say what she pleases.

But...if you're trying to make a case that smacks on the head are a "societal problem," that case becomes biased and racially-charged if you venture into a bad part of town populated by minorities, where guys are more likely to smack you.

I live in suburbia and in all my years here, I've never been smacked by anyone of any race. So it would be dishonest for me to try and make the claim smacking is a problem but have to go to the worst part of the city to make such a claim.

She went looking for trouble, found it, and used that to make a general statement about men and women. This is flawed "reporting" (if you can call it reporting).

If I'd done a newspaper story like this back when I used to write, my editor would have turned it back and insisted I go to a variety of areas (suburban malls, rural country stores, ball games) and draw a larger conclusion from a variety of areas. Otherwise it would have been biased.

I don't know if she went out of her way to do this in an urban place. But I do know she didn't go to other places like suburban shopping centers, because if she did, she'd likely have gotten no usable footage. It's what she left out that matters.

PS: I may have leaned too heavy on the racial element in my initial posts on this. There's a large class element here too and it's hard to untangle. I agree with whoever said she'd probably be up for smartly-dressed Virgil Kent talking to her...but she's not doing this in classy Northwest DC.

You nailed it, there are lots of videos like that made in Europe by feminazis and attentionwhores; not necessarily in the banlieues (guettos) as it happens in the very city centre as well.

You have girls harrassed non-stop by guys 15 to 65 years old with no game and most of which happen to be from Maghreb, Middle East or Subsaharian Africa. It has nothing to do with racism, it's just not the way euro guys game.

I didn't watch the videos, but it sounds like she's not trolling Wall Street or a high-end neighborhood (or what she would consider high-value), which means she simply doesn't understand economics. France, Belgium and the Netherlands especially have a problem with Muslim immigrants, who are doing extremely aggressive approaching.

While the indigenous French and the Italians have been known womanizers who approached girls even decades ago, it is way more calm and less obtrusive. (Though in France almost any woman has heard a very direct invition to sex by a Frenchman: "Voulez Vous coucher avec moi?" Classic Hail Mary opener.) And they certainly do not start insulting a girl or getting really aggressive.

You are right - if it happens too often it can definitely impede Streetgame even for the seasoned guy. However there are a few caveats

- if you are definitely non-Muslim looking you are likely not classified among their group
- you can do more indirect approaches in such a region
- even if you are Muslim-looking I guess letting them know fast that you are American probably helps, since they know that you are not one of the immigrants (but I am fishing here)

Has anyone on the forum had streetgame-experiences recently in France, Belgium and Netherlands and got some animosity back because of it?

I have had only some experiences in Paris and other parts of France with some friends. We did not experience any repercussions, but we were all looking very Caucasian - one French, German etc. So I don't know if it is a real problem for guys with Game in those countries.

@Days of Broken & Heavy: Minneapolis is a bit strange in that respect. Downtown is like Wallstreet there. It is where the best hotels and offices are, but you don't see that much high-level foot-traffic in certain areas, since those guys use the Skyways or jump into their car. The one white married guy with his coffee mug is about it there - and he held his frame at least. I did not see her recording anything in the Skyways.

I think you're getting at one of the key reasons why this woman is overreacting. She probably has bought into the wiring (as many of us have or do) that you can't talk to people on the street. In our Puritanically based culture, it's very odd for women to meet men on the street and vice versa. We have a society that punishes being sexually open (I don't mean being a slut, I mean having no hangups about it).

Therefore, whenever a man approaches them aggressively (with a statement of sexual intent), her cultural wiring is going to start going into effect, and as a result, she's going to act like a fucking idiot. Anybody who has the time and inclination to do something like this that frequently either a) has no friends or b) desperately needs a job or hobby.
