Travel before or after getting in shape?

There's always going to be a reason not to do something.

Look for the reason TO do something.

So if you can financially do it, fucking do it. Because later on down the road when your in prime physical shape, your not going to look back and say "Damn I glad I didn't go on that trip, I would never be in the shape I am today had I taken that 3-week vacation back then!"

God'll prolly have me on some real strict shit

Don't not travel because you aren't in shape.

But I'd definitely make it a priority to get in shape. I'm someone who gets noticeable attention in the US. Outside the US I get way more attention.

Just do it. If you put it off, you may never end up traveling.

You need to set priorities. 220 lbs, 6'1 ---> you are overweight. I would fix that first if I were you.

Set priorities and focus on getting results.

"Look for the reason TO do something." AntiTrace is right : why are you going to Prague ? If it is to practice Game and if practicing Game is you first priority then go. -- I'm not sure this is the right place to do that however (too many drunken english speaking chumps over there ; my czech friends hate them) --

Prague and Bucharest are the two cities I'm most interested in moving to. And of course it would be a therapeutic bang mission (http://www.rooshv.com/bang-missions-are-therapy).

Going to Prague and Bucharest during summer (I hear they are dead in terms of locals) when overweight is starting to sound like a bad idea. Getting in shape both physically and in terms of my career must be my priority right now so I think I'm going to wait until next spring and see what the situation is then.

Not traveling because you're not in shape is pretty stupid. And Bucharest isn't a good place to go if you're expecting easy pussy.. you'll have an easier time in the states. Or in SE Asia

Go twice. First as an out of shape guy and see what results you get , come back, shore up loose ends of your game and lifestyle, return to said cities and try it all over again as a brand-new better version of yourself. In essence use your state now and the results you get as Motivation to come back stronger and better in a myriad of ways to get the results you envision yourself wanting to get.

Just thought I'd chime in to clarify that Bucharest isn't dead in summer as far as locals go (if you hit up the right places). I'm here right now.

And Bucharest isn't 'easy' as far as ONS's go, but is tremendously easy to date high quality girls, most of whom put out pretty quickly (first or second date).

Travel before or after getting in shape?

Ahum. Calm down.

For such a very short trip as only three weeks it's ridicilous to postpone it for a whole year just to get in tip top shape. Jesus christ, you guys are serious and making an elephant of an ant.
Go and enjoy life dude! I know this is your first trip abroad and things are exciting but there is no reason to complicate things here.

Just go if you have the opportunity, doesn't matter if you forget about focusing on girls and just go for the experience. You will learn things and be more prepared for your second trip.

You can still both travel in Europe, eat clean and going to gyms on the same time.

Vicious has a excellent point and he's right. But it doesn't mean you shouldn't go.

Antitrace is spot on! For some years ago I thought about getting into supershape before my trip, but I had the money and the perfect situation so I said fuck it and packed my bag.
My trip lasted 18 fantastic months involving so many experiences so it's unreal.
I very fucking glad that I packed my bag and went when I had the opportunity.
It changed my life forever to the better side.

But I came home in the worst shape after 18 months of unhealthy food and reckless partying.
It was a gamechanger. Something needed to be done. I started with martial arts 5 times a week.

Now I'm again traveling, but I'm sober and I'm not taking any drugs.
I'm going to the gym every day and kicking ass. I was going to join a MuayThai gym but unfortunatly I broke my toe last week so now I have to postpone it for a month.
I'm still going to the gym every day and doing what I can with a injured foot.
I'm eating healthy and getting enough of sleep.

There is a time for everything but there will never be a perfect opportunity like Antitrace said.
Exactly like with girls, there will never be perfect moment for an approach.

Think about it, this three week trip might give you inspiration to work even harder and doing better for your next trip.

Good luck

Travel before or after getting in shape?

September is a great time to travel, so do it. Not going to make a difference unless you are hitting up Ibiza or some beach resort.

Travel before or after getting in shape?

Well I guess there are two sides of the coin. Is this your only bullet in the chamber? Is this an either/or proposition? In that case, then yes, maybe wait till all your ducks are in a row. But with something like travel, especially a short 3 week trip, I can't see that being the case. I've been looking forward to at some point doing an 18 month extended trip. For that, yes, I want to make sure health, finances, etc are all where I want them to be before hand.

On the other side, I know from first hand experience, often an opportunity not taken is often squandered. There may not be some bigger better prize behind door number 3. There may be nothing. In high school a bunch of people went to DR for spring break. While I think I've grown out of that, for a 17 yo Canadian kid in March, sun, women, and free booze seemed like a dream. I had the money, but at $1500 for 7 days, seemed like a lot, and hey you never know I might need that money for something bigger and better. So I didn't go. But the thing was there wasn't something bigger and better. The money never really did anything, and now, 10+ years later $1400 is almost insignificant. So I put off that trip for basically nothing. You man get to a point where you get a dream job and can't turn down the money, get a girl pregnant, death of a family member, etc etc.
