1. Some wise-ass psychologist will create a "disorder" or "condition" excusing the behavior. It will be called something like: Social Media Compulsive Disorder (SMeCDi), Smartphone Addiction Syndrome (SAS), or something similar.

2. Dr Drew Pinsky will add this disorder to his offered therapies in his clinics. Reality therapy cable shows to follow.

3. Phone companies will get sued for "making it too easy to take selfies" and "not warning me about spending too much time on my smartphone". Smartphones will now need to get disclaimers and warnings inscribed on them.

4. Imperial apologist Thomas Friedman's new book on why the world is now "flatter" than ever will drone on about how great smartphones are, and how much we need them.

And the beat goes on....

An American psychologist believes so. In fact, he’s even introduced a new term to describe such an addiction. FAD, or Facebook Addiction Disorder, is a condition that is defined by hours spent on Facebook, so much time in fact that the healthy balance of the individual’s life is affected. It has been said that approximately 350 million people are suffering from the disorder that is detected through a simple set of six-criteria. People who are victims of the condition must have at least 2-3 of the following criteria during a 6-8 month time period.

I am appalled by the forum's cruel indifference to this woman. I demand a resolution. We must give to her in death what she did not receive in life.

WYB?

WB.

She had 127 profile pictures. 127! I've always said that a person's number of profile pictures is an indicator of how much of an attention whore they are. Only people who crave attention will change their face to the digital world so often. Anything more than about once a year is attention whoring territory.

It was definitely her fault and she was an attention whore for sure, but I don't think anyone deserves to die just because they're idiots. Good that she didn't kill anyone else and hopefully some people will be a bit more careful in the future.

While definitely one of the stupidest things to do while driving, it's unfortunate that she died. I'd rather people learn from their mistakes and improve themselves...

Let's face it, had she survived, she would have blamed someone else, continued her reckless actions, and hurt an innocent person next time.

I don't get what's funny about this, but it's fucked up that she essentially killed herself and could have done the same to a lot of people.

People need to stop doing such stupid shit.

As stupid as she was, her parents are probably devastated.
